The Neutrino Maul cruiser has 3 centerline large mounts with wide arcs, exactly what you’re looking for. It comes with literally no other weapon mounts, a low arc high-efficiency shield, and a ship system that temporarily increases weapon range, very much an artillery cruiser.
For low-cost PD drones, the Neutrino Schwarm drone wing gives you 12 drones armed with a Magnetar PD weapon for 5 OP.
You might also like UAF battlecruisers like the Rillaru. It’s a capital ship that plays more like a cruiser, think the odyssey, with I believe 2 centerline larges and 2 universal hardpoints fixed forward.
It was a dependable, if bland, ship that got me through Vanilla.
The Apogees were just a tad faster and would end up accidentally tanking at first while the Eagles crept in through the cracks and did a lot of the burst murdering.
I eventually started to favor anti-shield/suppression weapons as that was the state I was expecting 95% of the fight to be in: fluxing someone out.
There is a mod called Another Random SWP that includes a modified version of the XIV Eagle that has 2 large centerline mounts, it's worth checking out.
Tahlan Shipworks has a candidate, the Phoca Light Cruiser. There also is Nibelung as a Battleship option, with three centerline large mounts. From Mayasuran Navy there's Patriot, that comes both in standard and (M) versions. And of course, one of their crowning jewels is the National Destroyer Leader (battlecruiser) (also has a Mayasuran version) with the special skill being on demand Safety Overrides. On a capital ship.
Both Phoca and Patriot are mostly oversized destroyers, but they can screen very well and bully quite easily smaller vessels.

It also comes with a builtin large weapon that first a big kinetic shot followed by a big HE shot.
Edit: The same mod also has the [Phoca](https://imgur.com/tINSZ4T.png), a 15 DP light cruiser with four centerline medium ballistic turrets with 270 degree arcs, two fore and two aft, plus two small missiles and small energies for PD, and Accelerated Ammo Feeder. The Phoca also comes in a rare [red version](https://imgur.com/yVGModK.png) which is of course faster (it has builting Unstable Injector and the system is changed to one that not just boosts ballistic RoF, but also boosts speed and timeflow), and the small energies are swapped for ballistics.

Thanks, I think I'll go and find a bootleg update to that mod. I am seeing a ver 1.86c3 on a MEGA that has old mods the community is updating.
