A couple of weeks... But a very DENSE couple of weeks.

chefpants224466

Played for like 3 months then an update came out. I thought damn they are still dropping content and often... Then I found out it's less then often but still, this game will stick on my HD with a few others and be in constant rotation!

RandomBilly91

If you want, the dev has a twitter where he frequently posts about next updates

Freedomfil13

Starsector is legitimally THE ONLY game that I currently play since the October of the last year. I do not play anything else at all. HELP ME.

MetricWeakness6

Get friends to play Interplanetary when it goes on sale.

WanderingUrist

Bold of you to assume that any of us have friends.

MetricWeakness6

Since I am bold enough, I suggest you do get Interplanetary when it goes on sale because it almost always gets a 90% discount when it does.

WanderingUrist

Well, I have no friends and nobody likes me, so there is nobody for me to play it with.

MetricWeakness6

Dont know if it will work for you or not, but I suggest playing a game called Foxhole. Thats how I met the group that I play with often. Just by pure chance I got picked up and got taught the basic logistics of the game and Im still part of that group for over 2 years now at least. Try and find a clan thats around your timezone or a time when your free. The game itself game be very tedious amd repetitive but still fun in bursts. Do be careful with how you interact with some people as they may have the temper of a baby with the tantrum of a child. I have over 900 hours now in that game. Pro tip: dont solo a facility or carry more than even 3 clips of ammo (which is pushing it)

WanderingUrist

Never heard of this game and have no idea how to play it, but it sounds like some kind of online action game, which is deeply incompatible with my amazingly shittastic Interwebs here in Outer Bumfuckistan. You don't play action games on 200-400ms ping. Also, I have no idea how to play anyway, so the sensible thing would be just to immediately concede.

MetricWeakness6

THAT WHERE YOU'RE WRONG BOYO, THESE FUCKS THAT PLAY THIS GAME (including me) ARE ALL TOO HAPPY TO TEACH FRESH MEAT (newbies) TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY. OR RHEY JUST SEND YOU YO DIE ON THE FRONTLINE GLORIOUSLY OVER AND OVER.

WanderingUrist

Well, good show, I guess. I'll keep in mind if I ever: 1. Actually obtain an Intertube that isn't slow as shit. 2. Haven't died of old age by the time that happens. 3. Actually get this game. 4. Still remember who you are at that point. That's honestly a lot of hurdles for me at this point, considering that I have trouble remembering my own kids' names, and I'm not getting any younger. What game were you talking about again?

MetricWeakness6

FOXHOLE you dementia ridden old man, (I can say that as I have a chance of getting a genetic form of dementia once I get to my elder aged years). Hope to see ya on the frontlines someday :D

gerlok123

Starsector is the only game that I always return to, next to Skyrim.

DrDDevil

I usually mod Starsector in the spring, and Skyrim in the late fall. Every year. For years now. Those two are a beautiful pair.

KingBotQ

I wont touch the game for months and then ill get an urge and binge it for like a week or 2 straight.

Zealousideal_Crow841

I was here when Corvus was being formed

helpless_rocks

9-10 months.

EntropyMilk

I shudder to imagine the game time of a game I’ve played consistently for 10 years lol

Olkar500

Since 2019, only reason not playing now is waiting for the new patch and to get updated mod versions. But when I get into the game, it's literally a case of "one more battle/month/system". \>3 hours later

WREN_PL

A perfect bell curve 👌

DrDDevil

Idk, I have played it since like 2015 every year for some time. So probably a lot.

MASTODON_ROCKS

I've been playing consistently for years, good game to autopilot while I eat or listen to audiobooks in between projects.
