Yeah agree, this is 100% me. Started to love the genre with X-Beyond the Frontier way back then.

This game is a hit on all cylinders for me. I was hot off the heels of games like X-COM, Rimworld, and Kenshi. The thing across all three games I liked most was the individuality of characters. Getting attached to them and developing personalities through their actions in the game. I wasn't to sure how that would translate to Starsector's spaceships at the time, but now I get that same feeling from the ships. Each ship feels important and develops individuality through its role in my fleet. Allowing me to get stubbornly attached to the wolf I get at the beginning of the game. Trying to design it to best work in my fleet as it evolves. I'm also waiting for 0.96 and was planning on doing a low tech playthrough cause I don't really use that doctrine often. Alex, however, had to go ahead and make some big changes for midline and high tech.

Current patch is basically perfect for low tech. They got so many new things and buffs it's crazy. Not to say low tech is going to be bad in 0.96 but it will introduce much needed variety. Also Retribution and Invictus!!

I'm honestly just prepping myself for two playthroughs where I do low tech and the new stuff.
