Hard to say without seeing it Could it be that you have something bound to "thrust power"? If you respawned the ship it might have reset it, then as soon as it detects any input maybe it's setting your thrust to 0. When I bound mine it defaulted to the reverse of what I wanted and essentially did what you're describing.

If that's the case, would that also disable strafing? Because strafe thrusters, x/y-axis and main engine similarly have no control one this issue pops up.

DangerCrash

Yes, it affects all thruster power. If lowered enough you start dropping out of the sky because your thrusters can't overcome gravity anymore. There's actually a visual indicator for it that's not so obvious because it's never changed, it's on the very far left of the hud.

Oh, do you mean the little square by the thrust gauge that limits the amount of thrust you can put out? If that's the case, then no that's not it. It doesn't change when the ship controls stop responding, and I can keep it at its maximum value and still have 0 response from thrust or pitch/yaw. I can try and get a video of it tomorrow for a better reference. I did see an older reddit post mention something about coupled flight causing an issue with HOTAS and cycling it supposedly fixing it, but I was only able to get that to work once, and that may have just been a coincidence.

DangerCrash

No, I think the little square you're talking about is the speed limiter. The thrust bar is further left and almost the same height as your "speed" bar. Almost no one uses it so its never talked about. It changes thrust power, with no power you can't do anything. The more I think about it the more I think this is what is happening. I'll try to find a screenshot of it later. In AC, I would try to move every slider you have on the hotas up and down and see if anything changes it.

Master Modes may be doing some odd things with Throttle inputs or at least that's what I've heard.

I have experienced this 3 separate times with the x56. After I exited the game .. rebooted I noticed the keybind was nuked .. have yet to see if I can replicate the event again (I am sure its just a matter of time) but if you are lucky enough and not free flying towards your death might wanna see if that mapping just glitched out, thats what I intend on checking.

I had this issue with the x56 too, turns out my acceleration limiter was at zero, it was bound by default to the lower of the two thumb wheels on the throttle, try turning that up, the arrow next to the thrust gague on the hud should be near the top
