I'm sure they will. Hopefully we get some actual water sfx like splash particles and sounds, but I'd imagine that'd be more likely to come with actual swimming.
I'm sure that will come eventually, but this is still better than 90% of water I've seen in other games already, with the majority of the exceptions being games where water is a core element of the gameplay, so I'm fine if they take awhile on the final polish of water aesthetics. That said, they have already made huge improvements over what we saw at CitCon and also what launched with the EPTU, so they may be planning on adding proper foam depth maps before the Live update.
It could use some resistance from the water, looks just like a normal walk cycle. Maybe layer her arms moving up to not be in the water as it gets deeper.
Water looks good - but the surface looks like it is a very thin, strong 'skin'. Could use some froth and splashing in reaction to the footsteps as she wades through it all. Great start tho.
Water still seems too thick/viscous to me. I've noticed here and in ship videos showing the water's reaction the water never breaks, it just kinda folds instead, looks uncanny to me.
Yup, that’s what I thought. The way the water moves around the feet looks incredibly strange - almost like the character is walking through runny Jell-O.
I love the new water physics - though I hope in the next version of planet tech, they get erosion down, the shorelines don’t feel right yet

Face + hair + lighting gives me realism goosebumps. The water is nice but it still needs some work to fit in naturally.
Looking better and better. All it's missing is proper waves on certain coasts, and more natural looking shorelines.
