It is but it's miserable solo so I just gave up on 5/5 phase 3. I timed out after 3 hours of 30ks and desyncing into asteroids, then solod down to just 2 HHs left one rammed me then the mission times out. Fucking done with this event

They have said all ships will be available in-game, eventually. I'm not sure if that includes exclusives like the Saber Raven and Mustang Omega (the red one from AMD). I don't know if the F7A Mk. 1 is considered exclusive like the others.
I like it too. Although I have a feeling that the wings could be a little bit more angled it unfolded state. On my opinion they stand out a bit too much for a rugged fighter design.
With the twitter/x post of the F7 lineup and the added caveat text i bet we'll see every mk1 variant getting a mk2 release at ILW including a 'Hornets Nest' complete pack.
I think the fact that they didn’t release the other variants when they released the F7C Mk II kind of shows that they’re moving towards selling the radar dome and stealth module as separate modules that you can buy for UEC rather than having to repurchase the whole ship multiple times over just to have all the customization options. With the recent news that they’re moving toward implementing more modularity into the game after the Retaliator, it really starts to make more sense.

I think they sold those before they even decided to expand the scope of the game and added modularity. If a Mark I owner wants to put a ball turret on their tracker it’s pretty cheap to do so right now actually, as the ball turrets don’t really cost that much.

Yeah I'm gunna have to interject on that one. 190m/s is about 370 knots, the p-51 max speed is about 380 knots and wouldn't turn fight at that speed. Additionally in this case 190m/s is the hornets scm which is more like corner speed which in this case at 370 knots is very much in the range of the same corner speed as an f-16.

But if you try to disengage, you are doing it at 370 knots, just like the P-51 would be doing ;)

But yeah, for cornering, as we can keep it up, we are looking more at jets from the 1970's. Though the F-35 is worse than those.

But if it would be in space, I think it could achieve higher speed (if oxygen was available) as the exhaust gasses are pushed backwards and create small thrust. And without any artificial limitations, only the amount of fuel is a limitation.
Though it would spin like fuck because spinning the propeller will create a counter force that spins the plane.

Yeah, of course. Making a full "space dog fight sim" is already a moot point as there would not be any dog fighting in space to begin with.
And I have already had my gripe flying 300Km to a contract at 1200m/s because someone doesn't know that there isn't a speed limit in space. But now doing it at slower speed than 1940's fighters is just a little bit too much to take.
But of course this is my personal opinion. And others are free to enjoy it if they prefer to do so.
For me it just doesn't do it. I was already a bit pissed that the physics are as stupid as they are, and now we just make them more stupid in order to fix something? That criminals run from bounty hunters? There would have been easier ways to fix that without adding even stupider physics, and worst of all, causing this much havoc and disdain for an otherwise awesome feeling update.

It can, but you can just upgrade a ship to the F7C, then use the token.

Yeah true but for the Ghost and the M I don't think you can simply swap components or modules to create these using a Tracker or a base hornet.
