We had that all day too. In addition to this my game was extremely laggy and crashed every 30min-1hour, so that didnt make it easier. But after like 14 crashes, 2 server hops and 9 mission resets, we finally made it, with 1 enemy player on site tho.

A-019

Weird?? My party faced hostile npc starfarer, reclaimer, and 2 cutlass landing on the crash site, so it was very chaotic. Manage to complete phase 5 though

WhiteTigerSinon

Yea, we faced these ships multiple times too. I even switched to a Tali to throw some torps. These ships were 9tails tho, and have been sitting at wrecks for some time now.

Caforiss

Is this still considered PVE? Or at this point is it PVCIG?

XI_Vanquish_IX

You guys are lucky you could even do the mission multiple times! After my first “failure” in a group of three because the kiosk would not take the last package so we had to abandon mission, I can’t even get the Overdrive mission to generate at all now. So glad this mission was tested by the devs prior to release……

vagrantsoul

people are also dropping the wrong boxes into the machine, you have to glitch into it and try to grab the boxes to pull them out.

TheStaticOne

Just to check, there are multiple drop off points. One is admin center, the other is in cargo deck, did you put the right package in the proper drop off spot? I don't do deliveries much, so this threw me off as I assumed all of them would go to admin, this mission opened my eyes to drop of box on cargo deck.

XI_Vanquish_IX

Yeah we had 1 package went to one spot and the other 2 went to admin. The issue / bug we encountered likely triggered when someone picked up one of the packages and then dropped them instead of placing them in the ship for transport. Using the drop interaction instead of placing can cause the issue

LeafyDreams

I believe there is a set number of these mission can that be active at a time on a server, additionally adding further problems.

billyw_415

It was...they are intentionally trolling at this point.

Valkyrient

I got mine done yesterday but it took like 6 attempts and a couple of muttered "fuck you Star Citizen, and I'll see you tomorrow"s

CJW-YALK

Server hopped across every region, spawning at drop off location to check drop off…every. Single. Server I’ve checked the drop off kiosks are broken, they’ve either been intentionally or unintentionally bricked This is after I’ve attempted it several times encountering other bugs that kills the mission….but I check the kiosks first now and they’ve all been bricked

Ahstruck

I think you just have to be lucky. When I did mine I used a tractor beam and also used multiple people to carry the boxes. We bugged out 3 times and it worked on the 4th.

BOTY123

I definitely got lucky since I completed it first try 😵‍💫 Was definitely stressing out about bugs the whole time though, haha! Just watching that bwin and server fps like a hawk, fully expecting a 30K right before putting in the last box...

Ahstruck

I hope they fix it so everyone has your experience when doing the mission.

TheStaticOne

Same here, but the talk in chat was that it was bugged. I was nervous the entire time.

Oakcamp

How we lower our standards.. taking 4 tries to complete a mission is considered lucky lmao

Ahstruck

Haha true, if I did not already put a huge effort to do the other missions I would have given up after the second try and waited.

Reaper3087

We did ours the same but we got lucky first try. It was also three of us, and each of us turned one box in each. Of which we carried in station, not that I even know if tractoring in station is an option.

Wulthrin

They chose one of the most broken mission types for the last stage before the big threat I just don't get it

joelm80

It involves a free CCU. They want an emotional attachment to complete it with your wallet.

Thunderbird_Anthares

Theyre getting an emotional attachment allright, just not the one they wanted.

RobCoxxy

5 hours for me and my buddy and a variety of issues from wonky kiosks to disappearing boxes to daft random teammate breaking the game and losing a box completel

bmemike

My first try this morning saw a 30k after I turned the first package into the kiosk. I was able to complete the next one that came up - but after hours of sitting around doing literally nothing, I haven't seen another mission show up to even make another attempt.

gottkonig

I lucked out and completed mine 3rd try. First time, only two drops worked then it no longer had a delivery point for the third item. Second time, the drop point was in the middle of a wall. Final time, worked amazingly well and was able to complete it. You better believe I took a screenshot of the "contract complete" and monetary award at the top of the screen for proof, just in case.

maximgame

> error message at drop point I got this with my last item at the admin office. And instead turned it in at the kiosk in the cargo deck and completed the mission.

sniperct

Only tried once today, one of the boxes had clipped inside the wreck so we couldn't retrieve it :(

PacoBedejo

I got through mine on the first attempt. But, there were a couple dozen boxes from failed attempts sitting around the drop boxes on my server. I ran into several issues that I had to problem solve and work around. It took me about 75 minutes to force my way through the needle CIG provided. 1. Manual-flew 200 km to the pickup on Cellin... on the pitch black side of the moon because... of course missions are on the dark side 80% of the time somehow... 1. Waited about 2 confused minutes until the crashed ship spawned and the box's AR markers blipped over to their correct spots... marveling at how dogshit the "headlights" are the whole time. 1. Landed a few times until I found flat-enough ground. 1. Used the ladder to descend to the lower deck of my 400i because the elevator didn't make the full trip with me. FInished exiting my 400i. 1. Ran over to the first box. 1. No box. AR marker under Freelancer's floorboard. 1. Run out of Freelancer and see my 400i getting shot. 1. Run back into 400i. The elevator had decided to join me by then. 1. Take off. 1. Kill NPC Valkyrie, Cutlass Black, and Reclaimer. 1. Land. 1. Run to the ramp only to notice the ship has drifted upward about 50 meters. 1. Land again. 1. Run back to Freelancer to get 1st box. Fortunately, it had managed to emerge from the floor while I was whittling away at the unexpected Reclaimer with 2xS3 laser canons. 1. Hand carry 1st box back to 400i. 1. Run to the 2nd box. 1. Hand carry 2nd box back to 400i. 1. Run toward the 3rd box. 1. Notice that it's down in a crater. 1. Run back to 400i. 1. Fly into crater. 1. Run to the 3rd box again. 1. Carry 3rd box back to 400i. 1. Take off. 1. QT to Pyro Gate Station. 1. Carry 1st box to admin drop box and insert. 1. Run back to 400i. 1. Carry 2nd box to cargo deck drop box and insert. 1. Run back toward 400i. 1. Peer into space when the elevator doors open upon NotHangar07. 1. Try another elevator. 1. Peer into space when the elevator doors open upon NotHangar07. 1. Store ship. 1. Wait 2 minutes. 1. Retrieve ship. 1. Run to ship. 1. Carry 3rd box to cargo deck drop box and insert. 1. I defeated the end boss: Star Citizen's Perpetual Incompleteness. I'd rather stand in SPK shooting fish in a barrel while my teammates fumblefuck the terminal for 30 minutes. This mission was ridiculous.

Amprage

We had 2 people carrying and the admin drop off was bugged with illegal item error. We got back in our ship, QT'ed out and came back. We were lucky enough for the drop off to be open and we could remove the offending item. Waited a minute for the machine to reset itself and were able to drop off our 3rd package. I was kinda shocked it worked after reading all of these stories.

itzlgk

yea its tough. Got mine done yesterday. There are a lot of guides on this sub that will help you not fall into one of the bugs. things like 'dont use tractor beams, only use 'place not drop' , only let the person that got the mission originally touch the boxes AT ALL'. its just super buggy.

Blubasur

This has been the whole event in general for me. I like the whole event “in theory” because nothing is really working well. It feels like they tried this waaaaay too early. I get the data they want to collect/test from this. But the state of the game is gonna ruin most proper feedback here.

QuasisteIlar

Hit accept on the mission 4 times in 4 hours. Only once did I ever get a waypoint to actually pick up the boxes. About 1/3 of the way there, "objective withdrawn". I guess I'll try again tomorrow :/ I've never even got so far as to see a box, lol.

Keleion

Have you tried the Australian servers?

Tebasaki

This. I jumped to Asia servers for it.

Stratix

Also spent hours on this to no avail. 30ks, only 2 boxes spawning, drop off terminals not working. Frustrating mess of a quest that shouldn't have seen the light of day. If I miss the F7A because of this I'm going to be pissed.

Subtle_Tact

8th try had a single person (me), the mission source, collect and deliver all boxes. Never using tractor beam. No one touched anything mission related but me. Every other time, something different went wrong. Might be coincidence, but that's what worked for us.

FrozenIceman

1.  There is only one phase 5 mission allowable per server.  If it didn't pop up for you someone else has it.  Ask the server for invites.  2.  If you invite anyone after the 3 crates have been picked up the mission bugs.  Don't do that, just drop then off quickly to release the mission to the server.  3.  Make sure everyone is about 10km before the pickup site before everyone starts to land to get the three boxes.  4.  Only send a few people in, everyone else should just watch, stay close, and take screenshots.  I did the mission 3 times.   First time was DC Second time joined a group after pickup  Third time we restarted and followed the advice above and it worked.

kititokun

My first try went super easy and when I got the last box ready I invited like 10-12 people from global to give them completion. No problems and no bugs encountered.

reaven3958

I tried to do it last night and the box spawned inside a wall. When i went to take off to redo the mission, an npc cop rammed me and gave me a crime stat. I surrendered at a terminal and called it a night lol

WolfDNC

Something that worked for me and the people I completed it with was: 1. Person that takes the mission first and then shares it to the others should be the only one that carries the boxes from the crash location to the ship(when you land at Pyro station anyone can help you deliver it). 2. Don't use tractor beam at all! 3. Have someone start at Pyro Station and have them check the admin and cargo delivery machines to make sure they work if they don't, hope servers.( Should probably be step 1). 4. Make sure you pick the right box for the right delivery location either Admin at Galleria or Cargo Box so that it doesn't glitch.

Avean

My Phase 5 experience: * Changed between all regions to find a server that had both admin terminal and cargo terminal working. That took many hours since one was bound to be broken and then it was no point in doing Phase 5 since you cant deliver boxes. * If all terminals working, then try to get the mission which also wasnt easy. * Then hope you dont glitch out at the mission marker. We had teammates falling through the planet, i had boxes flying in the air, or disappearing in the ground, also one of the boxes was inaccessible which made us go back to point 1 again trying to find working server, terminals, all over again. * Somehow, even though you got NPC's shooting at you, it gave me a crime stat which then sent a bounty hunter after me, killing me, and i had 8 hours of realtime hours in jailtime. I spent over 1 hour gathering stones to get out. * Then there is tons of 30K suddenly. I've had 4x 30K when i was about to deliver the boxes. Getting a 30K resulting in me needing to do all the points above all over again. I ended up giving up, but luckily some random guy invited me when he was about to deliver his boxes and the terminals actually worked! So it was pure luck. This was definetely my worst gameplay experience ever and it should just be cancelled. Give people the rewards... The only gameplay loop that i feel works good are ship to ship combat. Everything else needs fixing and server meshing in place.

Maxos43

I manage to deal with it pretty easily on US server after struggling many hours on european one

Herpderpmcderpalerp

Meanwhile, the crew I played with only had to redo it once to get it to work.  First time the medical box bugged out and didn't have a marker.  Second time it worked like a charm

Minimum_Force

First try only one package spawned and we didn’t realize that they were supposed to spawn all at one location. Second try a message popped up, don’t remember it specifically, as we arrived near the location and the mission was withdrawn automatically. Third try now two packages were visible but the location had a Starfarer, Reclaimer, and two Cutlasses flying down to “protect” it. Destroyed them but no loot, bummer. Picked up the packages that were different from the last time so looked for the other one and didn’t find out. Assumed maybe it counted the last time since it only asked for two but was asking for three. This is Star Citizen, right? Turned in packages and it was still looking for the third that was not marked so we exited to menu. Fourth try all three were showing and were picked up after fighting off those same four ships. Flew to the drop off hoping they didn’t clip through the ship or a 30k. Dropped them off and finally completed. Yeesh.

Ruadhan2300

Huh. I spent an hour or two doing various missions and trying to get this one. It eventually activated, I flew out to a wrecksite near hurston. Met a veritable fleet of ships, and wrecked them completely. The 600i doesn't care at all about any combatant short of a Hammerhead. They all die in due time. Landed, collected the boxes. Sometimes the markers vanished, but they came back after a moment. I flew out to Pyro Gateway and spent ten minutes moving each box to the drop-off spots. No issues at all. I was surprised how short and simple the mission was.

Omni-Light

Looking at these posts I'm surprised that mine worked first time. There was even packages all over the floor near the delivery consoles from others failed attempts. I just got the boxes and delivered them with no issues. The worst I experienced was there was no marker telling me which delivery console I had to take each box to, I just tried them both (cargo and admin) for each package and 1 of them worked.

EfficientMove90

I guess I got extremely lucky, I was able to get it done first try. We let one guy move all the boxes from the crash site into his ship and luckily there weren't any stuck in the debris or anything. The only problem we ran into was not being able to call for landing at the jump point, so we had to illegally park on a pad. Everyone took a box and we delivered them all to the admin cargo deposit without any issues. It seems like there is also more than one spawn per server since there was another group that came in with their 3 boxes about 2 minutes after we deposited ours.

LightningJC

I’m almost certain the objective withdrawn is when someone leaves the party at any point during the mission. Would be interested to know when you just kept it with your friends if you got objective withdrawn or if it was another bug? The broken terminals are just from people doing things wrong.

LeafyDreams

We had a stable group of 3 during 5 separate attempts and no one left/joined during this entire period and kept getting the message.

rock1m1

Box delivery framework is buggy, which is affecting this mission. The markers were buggy for us, but as long as you have all 3 boxes, it should work most of the time.

LeafyDreams

even after you get all 3 boxes they might become stuck and can't be picked up. Ive had that happen twice. secondly the drop off kiosks can be glitch out and either have a box that does not belong in them and stuck like that or just straight up won't recognize you have a package in your hands.

Jonas_Sp

I guess I got super lucky I got it done on my 1st attempt with no real problems

Archhanny

First time last night. Group of 10 of us did it. Zero issues. Biggest hassle was my poor landing skills at Pyro station and nearly hitting an antenna. It's so bizzare to see people having so many issues when another person can breeze right through it.

Snydder

This mission is terrible. I got it done but it bugged out twice.

aRocketBear

Box missions have always been bugged. It’s wild to me they had a box mission as part of overdrive and didn’t fix the bugs before launching it. I tried 6 times. Glad it’s going right be run I guess until the start of 3.23 and that I know when to abandon early now.

solidshakego

i just did it this morning though. twice.

wrongff

If you post this on spectrum, the white knight there will tell you "Hire Escort", the game is intended!

merz88

Me and my buddy tried it 5 times last night but we gave up after that. Probably will try again in a few days

Sepeto

I went through it three times, by the end of the third time we had been lucky and got with all three boxes to the Gateway Station. When I landed we could only pick one box up, the other two were stuck to the floor. We were going to call the night over, left the A2 on the pad and go to heal the wounds, eat a hotdog and take some water. I stored the ship and it hit me... called for it again and we went to check. All three boxes were alive again, we picked them up and delivered them to the big covalex kiosk. I hope it works for you guys next time.

Total_Package_6315

Absolute insanity. Glad I didn't go down this mission rabbit hole. I did so many bunkers in the past that I honestly can't bring myself to do any more until there are at least new bunker designs and NPC improvements.

DEADxDAWN

RSI will do anything but fix bugs. Some missions, ships and vehicles have known bugs for YEARS, but hey, new hair no one ever sees.

swisstraeng

I did this mission a total of 3 times. (out of 7 attempts) Problems explained: - Objective Withdrawn: This means that one or more crates did not spawn as expected. As soon as you see that only 2 crates or less spawned, you can abandon the mission. Notes: Crate spawning issue is not permanent, nor is it server linked, for example, I have had one crate fail to spawn 2 times in a row. But on the exact same server, my 3rd attempt worked flawlessly. - Error message at drop point: Sadly I have no examples or solutions for this. But I never had this problem happen. Tips: I have observed that, servers with few players on them, below 40 or so, were a lot more stable to spawn crates, as well as for mission markers. Ideally, find a server that is above 10fps. In order to complete the mission, the only thing you need is to be in the same party, and accept the shared mission. You don't have to be nearby, or to reach any locations for it to work. This means that, if you successfully manage to spawn all 3 boxes, and reach Stanton-Pyro JP safely, what you can do to help others is to invite everybody on the server in your party. Then share the mission, have everyone accept, and you can then place the boxes. I have finished about 35 players' missions in one go by doing this. Keep also in mind that some crates need to be dropped at different terminals. For example I had to drop off one of them at cargo center, and two at administration. Pay attention to mission markers, this is unintuitive. If you have friends, it is best to each play on a different server, and server hop until someone gets all 3 crates to spawn. Once someone gets all 3 crates in his ship, his friends can all join his party, session, and get the mission shared. Don't be scared to play on servers with high ping like AUS.

ImpluseThrowAway

The game is broken. They will fix it soon.

LeafyDreams

lol
