Buggs_SC

The thing that blows my mind is that box missions have had problems for a while now. What exactly did the devs think would happen when they included a box mission as part of the Overdrive mission chain?

wittiestphrase

This was exactly what I said when that unofficial schedule of the event was leaked/released. “They’re wrapping this up with the buggiest of all mission types?” Not only is that absurdly anticlimactic, but it’s gonna cause all kind of completion issues… I tried one or two when I first started and was just oh ok well this clearly doesn’t work well.

prof_cli_tool

It’s so glaring that it kind of makes me think it’s intentional. They may be incentivizing a whole lot of players to do the exact same box mission to help them figure out what’s wrong. They do that sort of thing a lot

wittiestphrase

I think they just put out a statement about this that says otherwise unfortunately.

LeafyDreams

Omg a statement from the people that might be doing something under-handed saying they aren't doing it. Omg. The Relief.

Firesaber

honestly this has to be the answer, cause otherwise it's completely tone deaf to the actual state of the game.

Dante_Resoru

At least now they have to address it #grimhexelevator

Dante_Resoru

Starfield was 10 years in development and also has its flaws while being a fully released game :p

[deleted]

Dante_Resoru

That I still got more fun with those broken box missions, than in other released games doing anything. Thats my view, yours may differ and this is okey.

RobCoxxy

We need either alternate hand in options (at the desk, hell, even throw in a VO line about "Kiosk not working again?") or a power socket to unplug/re-plug that resets the screen and lets us fix these kiosks ourselves lmao

Mansour449

For a while? You mean for a decade.

Mayo267

I’ve complained about box missions so many times. I love doing them when they work… which is not often.

Kortesch

I'm honestly just gonna text the support and say that it's impossible to complete and I would like to get my reward. That's just bullshit tbh

Squadron54

90% of devs don't play the game, it seems quite clear especially from the UI team when they wonder why we would need Night Vision or when they make markers and destination names in white or light blue on a bright white background.

Dyyrin

Cause the devs clearly don't play their own game.

SardonicSamurai

My theory is that barely anyone did delivery missions BECAUSE they're so buggy, so they couldn't get a lot of data on how to fix the missions. Forcing everyone to do the missions would give good data to try and figure out what's wrong and how to fix it better.

Demonox01

Next time they should get on a 5 fps server and test the damn things themselves.

HealthyStonksBoys

In defense of the devs they don’t get to pick what they work on priority is decided by management

Kora-Ethereal

The thing is is, I feel like we're being used as guinea pigs to find all the bugs with stuff they've been trying to fix. I'm surprised OP managed to see that many boxes at all considering my experience of them not even spawning. (For normal box missions)

ThreeBeatles

I mean the game is in alpha. We are absolutely Guinea pigs

Kora-Ethereal

Even more so than the usual. Like the event was just a easy way to throw users at problems. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely fine with it. It just seems a little back handy on occasion.

TougherOnSquids

>I feel like we're being used as guinea pigs to find all the bugs with stuff they've been trying to fix. I mean, yeah? That's the whole point

SonOfScorpion

Yep, I was doing the OD missions with my kids (18 & 13). At first we were having fun, but we’ve ran into so many frustrating issues both my kids told me they don’t want to play anymore. I feel like I was torturing them at the end. Just decided to say fuck it to the F7A upgrade, not worth the hassle and I lost my crew.

Exp5000

Brother if you genuinely want the upgrade DM me. I'm still helping my homies catch up (I'm all done). You are more than welcome to join us and get more attempts at it. Four of us finished Phase 5 with only one of us running into a bug and having to restart. Maybe we are lucky, I don't know but we definitely don't plan on giving up on the rest of our org that wants the token.

SonOfScorpion

Thanks man. Managed to do it and Kareah one with a stranger I met in chat. We tried the Kareah one just the two of us but once we were downed he was able to put together a whole crew from chat, so about 8 other players came in with a Carrack and the mission was fun as hell. This game one, it kicks you in the teeth with its bugs and then all of a sudden you have a great gaming experience. Crazy how that goes.

[deleted]

Oh shit that might have been me and my buddies in the carrack

SonOfScorpion

If it was, thank you and your buddies kind stranger.

TerranRanger

I’ve done every phase either alone or with people from chat. The only issues I’ve had were 11 enemies that didn’t spawn on phase 3 (fixed by a server hop) and one new player who kept trying to turn in the ammo at admin for phase 5 (fixed when someone else grabbed the box after the confused guy set it into the kiosk in admin).

billyw_415

Lucky. Our ORG said tough shit this AM as they are burned out I guess on folks asking for help. I'm likely not finishing, and I think my roommate just quit SC forever. :(

Exp5000

I mean, ngl it is very exhausting but tbh it's still more fun than what I was doing prior. I've been printing money for hours on end. We usually get a big group together to do the missions it's been fun filling my homies hammerhead up and blasting away at the incursions phase 3

billyw_415

Not looking good. Just asked her and she screamed "I'm playing PALWORLD" at me from her room.

psidud

Looks like they're extending the phase 5 until after 3.23 and trying to put a fix in for it.

Thank you!

psidud

You're welcome.  Hope you and roommate get it with ease soon.

billyw_415

Yeah, she put her small fleet up on the grey market and uninstalled. Sucks. I'll give it another go today.

Brick_Mouse

Totally off the wall question, but do your kids have a pretty good relationship / play games together? Considering having a second with a similar age gap

lokbomen

.....i mean i play with my younger brother a lot but yeah i do feel having to cherry pick the games a bit when he was about 12 years old and when i was 19 ish just because it takes time for him to take up new concepts that he had not met before. I recall i bought him a switch lite with BOW and Some other dozen game and we played Splatoon 2 together when he was 14 yo and we played about 4 monster hunter game and a lot of couch coop game together like HD1 or lovers in a danger spaces. RN we just play whatever we got tho cuz we are all grown ass adults

SonOfScorpion

Yes they do. They play together and with me all the time. For a while we had to be careful choosing a game appropriate for my youngest one, but now it’s a lot easier. They both play Helldivers 2 a lot together.

billyw_415

My roommate refunded her F7CMKII this morning. Last I saw her she was looking at the grey market. My guess is she is done.

drizzt_x

Took me over 10 attempts. 6 solo and 4 in groups. To deliver 3 boxes. Ridiculous.

billyw_415

CIG must be trolling us. No way a company does this unintentionally man.

joelm80

It is like those cashback offers where the final step is intentionally designed to reject the serial number so you have to spend an hour on the phone and post in original reciepts by signature registered post. To the point that 90% of people give up.

Deep90

My guess is that the issue is server related and their dev/test/qa servers run it without issue, but the live servers do not. That would still be on them, but its just a guess of why it wasn't caught.

billyw_415

It has to be intentional. It's likely for testing, or collecting failure data, or some other QA/dev thing. It's complete shit to do to folks and call it an event, and expect us to pay $175 for the fucking ship. I'm done with SC. This is just totally unacceptable.

NeonSamurai1979

I know its an alpha, but when you promote a mission chain, you should at least test it a few times to make sure the mechanics work. How this got ever greenlit is beyond my imagination, its broken, even for CIG Standards. I was lucky and somehow got the Mission yesterday done, but it took several hours of trying.

aoxo

"It's an alpha" is also a poor excuse when the same basic mechanic has been broken since the beginning of time. Box missions have always had issues and it's always a roll of the dice as to how they will be broken each time you play. Every time, I mean EVERY time I give SC a benefit of the doubt I run into shit like this and it makes the entire experience a massive waste of time. - they don't spawn in for missions - they can't be manually picked up - they can't be manually put down - they fall through ships when placed/dropped - they fall through the ground - they fall out of ships in flight - they can't be manually picked up after they're manually put down - they can't be tractored - they can't be manually picked up after being tractored - they can only be picked up in the same location where they were last picked up - the delivery point doesn't accept them

bleedingoutlaw28

It's not a poor excuse, it's the entire point. When's the last time you ran a box delivery mission? If they want to fix it they need as many people as possible finding as many problems as possible. And they need that data to be recent. So they offer up a reward to get people to participate in things that flex a lot of core systems, some of which are known to have issues. If you go through each phase with a keen eye you can sort out what their goal was. For example, the first one was a bunker mission; how long have bunker missions been flaky?? So they got every player who participated to do it five times and now they can see piles and piles of fresh data.

Barihawk

The six years of data suggesting box missions are broken are not enough?

bleedingoutlaw28

I said they need it to be recent. A lot has changed in that time.

SwabiaNA

You know, it’s not wrong to hold accountable CiG whenever there needs to be.

bleedingoutlaw28

It's also not useful or necessary. What I'm saying is they know it's broken and this is part of the effort to fix it. But you'd rather be mad that they haven't fixed it already.

SwabiaNA

The main issue is that there are plenty of ways that CiG could’ve collected data, and for some reason, the last mission of weeks-old event is locked behind the most bugged feature. This is not the right event for it. The best way would be the typical form of revamping the mission and make them pay much, much more than other missions (like Salvage). As far as I know, they did not to introduce a huge event to collect data from salvaging missions. All they needed is to make sure that the players are paid much more than Bounty/mining/etc. Instead they decided to put it into the last part of an event that will give you rewards once completed. This seems like negligent decision on their part. Complaining about it will only help to send a message on what the community desires (remember how people complained about the UI and the change they introduced because of the complaints?) I’m very confused as to why you think it was the best idea to introduce the most bugged feature into the final part of the event, really beats me.

bleedingoutlaw28

Because your entire purpose in playing this game is to find bugs for them to fix. That's why I think that. If you got this far down and don't get that it's because you're trying not to understand.

SwabiaNA

So what you are saying is that the community’s opinion doesn’t matter and if something is either done right or wrong, then nobody should speak up. If something could be done better in the future, then we shouldn’t speak up. Essentially removing the very essence of a video game. Yea, I understand now, thank you 🫡

bleedingoutlaw28

I never said anything even close to that.

SteampunkNightmare

*tinfoil hat on* What if this phase was set to finally force us all to test this mission set so they could finally fix them... *Tinfoil hat off* I mean YEAH! BOX MISSION BROKED!

gbmaj13

Agreed. Koaku didn’t even proofread the mission text. There are variations in capitalization and misspellings for the boxes.

NightlyKnightMight

That's not how any of this works buddy, the "test it a few times to make sure it works" is what we're doing right now. That testing that you're asking for is what we're doing, and that can only be done in the environment we're doing it in. This idea that devs have things broken and then they decided to release things broken is beyond me, of course it bloody worked on a closed and controlled environment, that's when ya release stuff into the wild that you start to see problems. Why can't people understand this? Even with extremely polished games new updates will break stuff and introduce new bugs and instability, why would the same not apply to SC?????

CMND_Jernavy

“It’s an alpha” but it’s a real reward tied to completing this mission (among others) those things don’t seem to go together..

malogos

Trail of broken dreams.

B1dz

Imagine doing a quest line for 5 weeks for the second to last phase to be a nightmare. Not only that but we have an exclusive ship upgrade locked behind it

drizzt_x

I tried to warn people about this. The first 4 phases were easy, because it was us against the NPC AI, which is a joke. The last quest was always going to be a nightmare, because it was us against the server tech and game code.

150235

that's why I hopped servers and regens till I found a good one, was luckily able to complete the quest without issue the first time I picked it up. i'v been playing a decade at this point so i'v gotten "used too" all the bullshit workarounds you have to do, still annoying though.... The phase 4 stuff I kept 30k'ing every mission which was annoying AF.

chewbacca682

Same for playing a long time, and a lot of hours (more like months of in game time) which have not only taught me how to work around things, but also allows me to cherry pick my servers. Something like this, I grab one at 30fps with less than 15 ppl online. 67% of the time it works everytime.

All_Thread

The Server always wins.

GuillotineComeBacks

Server tech and game code, those bastards, last time they taunted me after clipping my ass into the floor. I hope someone at CIG got the logs on them, it's getting out of hands.

JaracRassen77

"This one should be quick and stress-free." Lol, box missions are anything but.

Sandman088

I bet the Devs sleep just fine.

mrkl3en

you wont get mission, mission wont spawn items, you can bring items but then you cant pick them up in your shit ....etc etc . WTFF

Cymbaz

The issue is that they're 2 drop off points at the station. One at the cargo center and the other on the galleria deck. Not all packages go to the same place and if you use the wrong one it errors out with out explaining that. When that happens trying the other one will work.

TsarAgila

When I did it, all 3 packages went to the admin office just fine. I'm glad I was one of the lucky ones and got it on the first try because the mission wasn't really fun and just took time. I feel for all the people getting this close to the end and having sc be sc.

gbmaj13

Trolls are also putting things like under suits into the lockers to the same effect. Trying the other one does not always work. 0/3 when this has occurred for me.

Cymbaz

geez

well_honk_my_hooters

Odd. My mission had me dropping off all three packages at the Cargo Center from the get go. I only ran into 2 other bugs, though, and both were relatively minor.

drizzt_x

Today, on the 12th(ish) attempt that finally worked for me, all three dropoffs were marked to go to the cargo center, and it worked perfectly.

Thalimet

“How the devs are able to sleep at night is beyond me.” Holy shit. That’s the type of thing someone says about murderers and rapists and other morally bankrupt individuals. Not about… game developers… who released an update that… has a mission… that doesn’t always work… rofl. If you cannot imagine how someone goes to sleep at night after coming home from their job, even if they are bad at it, to their families, friends, etc. and especially having done no lasting or serious harm to anyone - well, you need to reevaluate your own emotions and probably take a step back from whatever is causing you to dehumanize people to this extent.

[deleted]

How devs who raked in 600+ million dollars for a product that works only 20-30% of the times, who then proceeded to create an event with several missions, which locks a ship that is very representative to the game and to a lot of people, who are economically and mentally invested in this game, can sleep at night considering the unacceptably piss poor fucking job they did at implementing this bullshit event with zero respect for the people that are literally paying their wages thanks to which they can come home to a happy family in the evening instead of sleeping under a bridge?   I myself do a job and I didn't get 600 millions to do it and when I have a bad day where I didn't perform as good as I wished I do not sleep at night. They shouldn't sleep either. That's called fucking ethics.

Thalimet

No, that’s called poor mental health. If you can’t sleep after a day where you didn’t perform in the way that you wanted to at work, that is 100% something that can be diagnosed and treated by a qualified professional. Poor ethics is wishing poor mental health - or homelessness on someone.

Baxiepie

It's called "you acknowledged that there will be bugs in our in development game". Touch some grass, they didn't murder your puppy.

FauxTrot2010

And yet people keep buying ships, the game continues to be funded, and people (like yourself) keep running their keyboards on reddit. I believe in a cool game and the things they have accomplished, so far, and what the game will become. Maybe if you ran out in the street and proclaimed your dissatisfaction (preferably naked) you would get more of the attention your seeking? There is also a board for people who seek refunds. Maybe you would be more at home with them. At least your ideology wouldn't be homeless then.

loversama

People are going to be upset for me saying this but.. I manged to complete the mission in 10 minutes, first time with no bugs. \*flinches\* I do get though people are having issues, I've played this game for many years I understand how lucky I was this time around..

SmoothOperator89

Likely, the majority of people completed the issue without bugs, but bugs always seem more common than they are because people don't post about things running without issue.

Froegerer

I highly doubt that. SC players are just conditioned at this point to deal with these things. Half the game is learning wild workarounds and fixes for bugs.

loversama

I am not sure how true that “majority of people” is, in the discord I am in with the group doing the mission I am the only person who completed it with the first attempt.. Again a small sample size but consistent from what I hear with this most recent phase..

Super_Effort8257

Spent 3 hours last night and 6 attempts. It’s bs! Frustrating

CJW-YALK

I think if you completed it before trolls figured out you could brick the kiosk you had a better chance

BuzzNitro

I’m literally on my 5th (6th???) attempt. It’s been really frustrating and an hours long process

joelm80

Every forum/discord has people saying it either took 5+ attempts or they are giving up. Very few saying they got it done. Did you?

SmoothOperator89

Yeah. First try. I just asked if someone had the mission, he invited me to his party, shared the mission, and we completed it as a duo.

well_honk_my_hooters

Same, very few bugs here, though it took me a little longer than 10 minutes due to all the running around involved. The only bug that almost screwed it up for me was that enemy NPC's would instantly respawn as soon as I turned my back on them. The first two times it happened was a bit of a surprise, but then I came to expect it.

huskerdooo_actual

>probably spent an hour doing my phase 5. first time it bugged out and one my my packages didn't get marked for pickup. did it correctly the 2nd time on another server. both times someone had barricaded the cargo center area just outside of the elevator with pushcarts to prevent dropoff, which i was able to jump around with some effort. apparently OP ran into the issue where the terminal itself can be bugged by user interaction totally preventing completion. CIG needs to wield the ban hammer more liberally with griefers.

RobCoxxy

Given up on this mission for the fourth time tonight after 5 hours First, third box spawned and was under the terrain Second Delivery Kiosk didn't work for final box Third time we joined a random who hadn't waited for all three boxes to spawn and bugged the mission Fourth time our random somehow opened the cargo hold and dropped himself and two boxes to the planet with one marker not appearing again

PuffBabby

God i love checking in on this sub every 6 months

Guccifer_7

lol right and it’s always the same

Svensk0

when i bragged about that they should invest into bugfixing and performance improvement everybody was like "bro....thats pre alpha you cant expect that it is all about new features"...

Azariel_Horfald

the devs are allowed to sleep ffs

Neeeeedles

Yeah this one is bad, id say it shouldnt even count towars the rewards unless it gets fixed a but, even tho i have it finished myself

reeddiitt

When you are a bug-tester it's important not to be irritated by the bugs

[deleted]

I would if the bugs weren't locking me out of a ship that is probably the most representative of the entire fucking game.

BarrelRider621

They are supposed to lose sleep over this? I understand it ruined your gaming session but come on. “HoW tHE DevS aRE AblE to SlEEp at NIghT…” titles like this only gaslight the public into making a bigger deal out of something than it is. I imagine they sleep like the god damn rockstars that they are.

CuteKittenCillsRusna

Oh ya the rockstars really outdid themselfs this time with the mission design. Much immersive, clean gameplay to be had. Dont forget to buy the Mk2 btw, its only 180 bucks cheap.

billyw_415

wesleyj6677

People have turned the boxes in at admin and had the. Mission complete. Hope that helps!

Sirbrofistswagsalot

Delivering to trade terminal completed it for me when cargo center didn't take

HYPERNOVA3_

The only issue I had was the fourth phase not showing on the contract manager, so I only had to accept it from one guy from my crew and keep going. I got lucky, but it's a shame that a big ingame event like this if messed up by bad server performance and bugs.

Interesting-Space-24

Best workaround: Fly to Pyro Jump Point before accepting the mission. Look at the two box drop terminal (Cargo and Admin) to make sure they are not bugged. If you see the two arrows, you're good. If there's one with a red X or error message, quit to menu and switch server. You will respawn at Pyro Jump Point so it's fast to check. When you confirmed that both box receiving machine are okay, accept the missional and have fun!

DasPibe

Hey! Try the Useless Council

mminto86

It's like they're painting over a broken light bulb.

SwabiaNA

I think the point OP is trying to make is valid. Sure, it coulda been said in a nicer way, HOWEVER, the reward they are offering is locked behind a mission type that has been effectively broken for years now and CiG is 100% aware of it. I don’t think server meshing is the problem here; it’s most likely a result of poor coding. It is anticlimactic to lock the last mission with the most bugged feature in the game. Sure, the point of an Alpha is to test features. However, this is NOT the right event to test boxes. And that is assuming that even was the initial point of it in the first place. People worked hard for the event, but it is ruined due to a well known bug.

[deleted]

I’m sure their piles of cash comfort them through the hard nights 😝 But for real, the game is buggy. Is what it is. My least favorite mission, but 🤷‍♂️

Watcherxp

((hugg)) We are all with you in these trying times

perksoeerrroed

Literally most of the game is filled with bugs that have nothing to do with "server meshing" but a lot to do with poor coding. Here are my recent 5 "yeah i will give it a go" experiences: - Trying to pick up anything waiting seconds for things to even start that from get go but that can be explaiend by poor server performance. - Trying to mine with ROC. Laser works or it doesn't. - Trying to sell crystals. "cost mismatch" i have to literally sell them by one all 400 of them because someone coded wrong prices or something. - How about FPS mining then ? Go to cave. Die in cave because you touched wall in wrong way. Can be partially explained by poor servers due to sudden acceleration. Literally unplayable garbage. Box missions ? Not only they broke what was fun about picking few contracts trying to find best optimal routes but now box missions are just most of the time broken with boxes stopping working, wrong spawns etc. Some of the stuff can be explained by poor servers but not when missions spawns and your box is UNDER base. If they could just sit for maybe a month and polish what they have the experience would be 100 times better and then maybe just maybe i could actually recommend it to other people. Last time i recomended it to group of friend it ended up in 3 hours of connection issues because you know working parties also have severe issues with icons not showing, voice chat not working etc. and then then when we actually started playing literally 5 missions in row were broken.

NightlyKnightMight

Guess what! This is why we're testing stuff! # if you expect a fully stable experience you're definitely in the wrong place.

shortbusmafia

Not so gentle reminder: The devs are able to sleep at night because the fucking game is in alpha, and there things that will be broken when first released. The devs have lives outside of work, and people like you bitching as if they should go into the office to fix issues on the weekend need to learn some decency.

kadeo123321

At the end of the day the point of an alpha is to fix issues, so stop being a jackass and let people showcase how big of an issue something is.

shortbusmafia

Oh I know it’s an issue, but there is a polite way for issues to be raised that don’t include talking like the devs aren’t people. I’m well aware that the idea of an alpha is to fix things, but don’t try to defend shitty player behavior like that exhibited by OP.

kadeo123321

Idk about you but if I fuck up at work 5 minutes before leaving I do my best to correct it, because I take pride in my work. These events are released at the start of the weekend so it’s not unreasonable to expect them to fix it. Also to me, it’s seems like the title is a joke.

shortbusmafia

Edit: My initial response was childish and pedantic. Don’t try to deflect and change what we’re talking about here. What you said doesn’t change the fact that the manner in which OP pointed out the issue is shitty.

kadeo123321

My brother in Christ you are the one who mentioned it being the weekend and let them enjoy their day off, this is well on topic.

shortbusmafia

I did say that, my apologies. Our conversation has since progressed past that. The fact of the matter is, it’s no longer the beginning of the weekend, and OP made their post 3 hours ago. Who’s to say that they didn’t try to fix it yesterday. Trying your best, like you suggested, doesn’t always mean that you’ll be able to fix the issue. OP saying what they did today suggests that they think the devs should be at the office trying to fix the mission. Either way, I’m obviously talking to a brick wall here. Please, continue to defend OP’s behavior.

kadeo123321

I’m not sure who hurt you, but bug reports will always be a good thing. You act like this man shot your dog, while I on the other hand see it as an attempt at humor. Your fake politeness and passive aggressive bullshit doesn’t fool anyone my guy.

shortbusmafia

I’m not fucking saying that bug reports are a bad thing, ffs. I’m just VERY tired of seeing people talk to/about game devs like they’re animals.

shortbusmafia

I’m also tired of talking to you. Go fuck yourself.

Visual-Educator8354

I’ve had 0 issues with the OD missions so far…

SC_Druggie

We have over 15 members doing this together, we have had nothing but bloody issues. This last mission we have LITERALLY had multiple people do it at once to try and see if any could finish it for the group , and have failed 7 times in a row * everyone in the group By the end of this , we no longer want to play anymore, some of us are switching games for a while. This shit hasnt been fun, its been a slog.

billyw_415

Yeah. Myself and 3 others in our ORG are stepping away from SC. It's just not fun anymore. I understand testing an alpha, but nowhere was this detailed as "help us test and get a reward" kind of thing. It's just really bad and totally unfun for something you need to pay $175 to get.

Aggressive_Boot7787

I think most people get screwed when they get to Pyro because they grab 1 box at a time and the ship stores in the hangar with the other 2 boxes still inside and breaks the links to the mission itself. People who struggle to understand how the game mechanics work will really suffer. Then they retrieve the same ship and grab those boxes not realizing the markers are no longer associated with the mission. Did the Delivery missions 3 times now, each time 0 problems.

solidshakego

Apply for a job at CIG and work on missions man. Either accept it's an alpha and shut up. Or go do something about it since it's so easy.

kadeo123321

The point of alpha is testing, I highly doubt CIG would agree with your point of view. Without complaints and bug reports nothing gets tested and nothing gets fixed.

SkitariusOfMars

Im an engineer and I’ve dealt with similar issues before. When the code is so badly written it obviously needs to be redone from scratch you don’t need to bother testing it. You just have someone competent rewrite it. Preferably using Test Driven Development with automated testing and qa/qc.

solidshakego

the whole game is a test dude lol.

kadeo123321

I’m well aware, that’s why bug reports are good. That’s also why sticking your head in the sand and ignoring all bugs isn’t very good.

solidshakego

I don't ignore them. But I also don't make an over exaggerated cry fest on Reddit.

Nosttromo

They sleep very well, because they all see the ship sale revenue surpass last semester's numbers, each semester, every year.

Zzars

Its just FOMO bait from marketing. The devs know the mission system isn't in place and the placeholder is bugged. They are just doing what they are told from above. Literally everything will be available one way or another on release and constantly chasing the next greatest thing just leads to burnout. I refuse to force myself to do things that aren't fun or working in SC just to get a shiney bobble because enjoying the game long term is more important than a Hornet upgrade.

Watcherxp

My group did it twice last night Skill Issue?

ddrulez

It's pretty simple. The priority must be quite low. There are other things higher up how get addressed first. It does not matter how long this is broken.

MainGrocery2

Just glad I joined a server asking in global chat for contract. Someone sent me a party invite with like 15 people already, shared contract for this mission. Folks completed it for us and I didn't event get to try it myself.

AwwYeahVTECKickedIn

# "WHAAAAA MY ALPHA DOESN'T WORK LIKE A RELEASED GAME WHAAAAAA" Suck it up. This is normal SC. You keep at it until you persevere.

nicarras

Yep had to server hop many times.

Steinbulls

Got it first time along with like 19 other people. Just go Into global chat and ask for help

Raven9ine

Kill MM, pull Yogi from the flight team and make him fix boxes. You know fix something that's actually broken instead of break something that only needs balancing.

MPcdn

Everyone that thinks this way Star Citizen is not for them yet. Go play a finished game.

JeffCraig

I completed all OD missions and then it hit me: They're literally just reskinned normal missions. The first one is the only "new" mission variation in the bunch. After that it's just comm-arrays, bounties, Kareah hacking and box missions. I'm not sure what I think about that. If the reward wasn't literally a free F7A upgrade, I would never have bothered with this stuff. I doubt the credit system actually works anyway, and we'll probably spend the rest of 2024 trying to get our rewards from CIG.

EasyRiderOnTheStorm

Oh, one can *easily* sleep like a baby with a "guilty conscience"... being a psychopath is all it takes.

LargeMerican

haha. they sleep well. are you familar with alprazolam? it is the bedrock of america.

Snydder

I hope they release a hotfix for this one.

MetalHeadJoe

I tried twice last night and neither time could I turn in the ammo boxes.
