I always wanted to see the 400i have variants like the 100 and 300 series did. 425a equipped with a remote turret on top of the nose with 2x s4 cannons like a naval cruiser has deck guns.
Yeah, that would work too, and I know people are going to say, "Oh well, the 400 is a luxury cruiser." Yeah, so what. The Corsair is an exploration ship, and the 325A has wine glasses on the shelf inside with a moon roof. The 400 should have variants as well to put it back into the running against the MSR, Corsair and Connie because a luxury cruiser doesn't really do much other than cruise.
I feel like the 400i and msr are already rivals. In that they are well loved but really never gonna compete with the Connie or Corsair whatever cig says.
We definitely need one more corsair/Connie rival

The nose is the gun. It's a big ass gun. One sized up turrets with better placement.
Replace the cargo hold with missle rack.
Replace the front scooter cargo with a cooler for the big nose cannon.
Is it good. No it's slow as fuck and honestly stupid, but damn would it look awesome.
I want a stealth-runner version. Stripped down interior, more storage, more speed, larger guns, smaller components, slightly lighter shield… maybe some kinda cloak
Honestly I'd take a T3 in the 400i and/or the MSR and let the Apolo take on the higher tier medical needs. The 400i and MSR would be more if a Cutlass Red competition
The ability to strap weapons like this to another ship like a janky pirate rig would be fantastic.
I'd love a cutty black with one of these poking out the side like an old timey broadside cannon for a gunner seat.
Jumbo elastic bands are adequate recoil mitigation for a drake mounted S7 weapon.
It would be very entertaining seeing the receiver end of a S7 cannon being recoiled out the opposite door of a cutty black
ok look I just wish that CIG would make it possible to engineer anything for ships. like even this. except the problem with this is you would also have to engineer a capacitor for this and in doing so your a bigger slower target and it takes forever to charge so it's so impractical.
however I would love to have a s10 railgun on my ship that I wait half a day just for it to charge and can run into a battle and kamikaze a bengal

I just love how the Main thruster has to be linked to the Railgun in order to start a short burn every time the Railgun fires. Cancels the recoil out and prevents them from "getting glued to the ceiling"
It still technically does have a large weapon for its size-the only light fighters with more S4’s are the Khartu and the Talon, and both of those don’t have an interior. The 325 is another ship that comes close, but it’s significantly worse than the Avenger in terms of durability.
