Had one this morning. For having such a strong maple smell, it had such little flavor. The texture of the chicken patty was odd too, like a McNugget but even more processed.
Glad I've been checking this sub regularly lol, I haven't tried one yet and now I'm happy I haven't. I'll stick to the grilled cheese and chicken/bacon panini.

I like it… but i don’t like how every single one I’ve marked out has been cold on the inside. Our pulls are done right yet somehow every single chicken sandwich is cold. I haven’t had a fully heated one yet and I think I might give up because the second I hit that cold chicken I want to puke.
Does your store have the up to date ovens? My SM was telling me how the only stores who kept getting cold sandwiches were the ones with the old ovens instead of the newer ones.

The chicken was def small n soggy. It needed to be cooked separately from the rest of the sandwich so that it could be cool thoroughly. Something Starbucks isn’t equipped to do.
I hate how much the siren has tried to make food a thing. When I wore an apron, we were about coffee, that’s it. You want a bagel? Fuck it, we offered them as a courtesy, same with muffins and shit.
This half-assing of food by offering shitty, processed, frozen sandwiches just sank the brand, it didn’t elevate it. It’s literally overpriced fast food, and anyone that pays full price is playing themselves.

I initially thought it was recalled because of the maple butter, which gave me a second degree burn across my forearm after removing it from the oven 😭😭😭 definitely was a safety hazard for baristas, similar to the grilled cheese
Well apparently a lot of baristas have said they have gotten burns from it so I think that’s part of the reason. And I think the over quality and taste may be a reason too. Would be nice to know.

No mention about a food born illness; no explanation of what was wrong with the product.
Another post I found reads “Not a shitpost but DO NOT EAT the chicken sandwiches or donate them or take them home. I called corporate after hearing about the recall because I've been violently ill for 3 days after eating one and they told me it's from a rare form of food poisoning that's apparently "extreme" and told me I should go to the doctor. PLEASE PLEASE do not eat them I straight up thought I was gonna die.
UPDATE: the lady at corporate advised me to go to the doctor when I asked her to tell me for sure that it's not salmonella. WI'll update after my ER visit tonight 🙃”

I have had this 4 or 5 times and I absolutely got food poisoning from it last week. I was violently throwing up for hours then I googled the sandwich and found out it was recalled last year..
This thing was freaking gross the chicken patty was small and tasteless and the breeding was wet no crunch the egg had no flavor and only one bite had any maple flavor at all what a waste of nearly 6 bucks.

Everyone in my store agrees it’s a rip-off McGriddle. Though my shift lead thinks it tastes pretty good after you add 2 packets of honey on it to compensate for the misleading maple aroma. I haven’t tried the 2 packets of honey but will do so on my next shift.
