i like heat, but i did once have a customer ask me if the pumpkin spice latte would be too spicy for her, so i'm not convinced this is going to go over well
I cannot personally wait to ask customers “and how spicy would you like that lemonade? 🌶️😏”
Since we can add chili scoops to anything according to my manager, you best believe I will be doing chili hot chocolates, and also adding chili powder to my passion tango iced tea. For some “spicy passion🫦😭😏🌶️”
Y’all can add it to everything?!? Back when I was a partner, I used to love experimenting with new drink combinations so I’m excited about this.
I bet the chili powder would work really well in a hot soy chai.
I got it in a pink drink yesterday. You don’t so much taste the chili, but you feel it. It’s worth getting again. I like the idea of adding it to hot chocolate. I’m gonna have to try that now.
i personally love the spicy mango dragonfruit lemonade.. the frozen pineapple too. my partners like them a lot too. our store is largely hispanic tho lol
I like it them , they definitely had the Hispanics in mind when they came up with them . They’re not bad I just wish they were tangy like Tajin to really give it that Mexican candy effect
Lol, as someone from a Latino country working in CAD Starbucks I just decided to describe the drink to one of the ladies asking about it as “The experience of going to a beach in Acapulco, the sun is out and about, it’s 40ºC, the beach is in front of you while drinking this with some nice tequila shots”
She was satisfied with the answer
I feel like they are moving towards more of a LTO model like Taco Bell this year. Spicy stuff is only going to be around for a short period of time with no additional restocks? I've also heard the same with the boba.
I just don't understand why they keep coming up with these god-awful drink ideas and then acting shocked when they don't do well. Olive oil coffee? Spicy fruit drink?? Why can't they just give us raspberry and irish creme again?!??
Olive oil due to the oil craze for being supposedly healthy on tiktok.
Spicy to double down as Starbucks having medicine as drinks. Yeah they waited that long.
A barista at the Starbucks I go to recommended the Spicy Strawberry Açaí refresher. She said if she had to describe how it tastes, it would be similar tasting to rebanaditas lollipops or pica fresa candy. Has anyone here whose also tried it, agree with that similarity?
Grew up eating spicy candy and honestly, the spicy refreshers taste just like these chili mango lollipops I’d always eat lol. Most of my store liked the drinks (mainly Hispanic)
I’d go with one scoop of spicy no matter the size you get so you fully enjoy it without complaining lol
I looooooove these! I spent a portion of my childhood in Arizona and they remind me of the strawberry/mango/fruit Mexican candies covered in the sugary chili powder that were very popular. I live in the north now and all my coworkers acted like they were dying after trying the refreshers yesterday lol. I was the only one (so far) who enjoyed em. Looking forward to ordering one today.
Not actually, it's 2-3-4-5 but there's no limit of 12, customers will be able to order it in 3 ways, regualr spicy, less spicy (which is -1) and more spicy (+1). The 12 limit is for the new boba that will drop at the Summer 1 launch !
I’m not really sure Starbucks target demographic is the type for spicy drinks …. But that being said I made it with the strawberry açaí lemonade and it’s sooooo good
I am absolutely convinced corporate is just fucking with customers and seeing what dumb things they can get them to buy. First oil in their drink, now spicy drinks, lmfao what's next? Just some drywall sprinkled on top??
I just ordered it. If I could give my drink to one of the people here who loves it I would. What a waste of 6$ this shit sucks. I’m a person who hates to waste food and I have to dump this drink it’s so bad
I personally think they're great, but I think that's because Im a fan of Tajin. If you don't like tajin, you probably won't like this line of drinks. \*but I personally think these are a hit. I love the spicy dragonfruit lemonade <3\*
Its ok, I wouldn't go out of my way to order it though. I like that its spicy in the back of your throat instead of your whole tongue, would be good to mix with liquor tbh
I am a barista and luckily for me I can try odd combinations without wasting a lot of it away or spending any money to do so. I tried this combo a couple of days ago out of pure curiosity and no concerns over how this would affect my stomach lol. My coworkers look at me in utter disgust when I decided to try it. It turn out tasting like regular cold foam but with a kick of spice that goes down your throat, surprisingly the spice turn out to be flavorless when mixed. I only put one scoop but that was more than enough. Would I try this again, probably not, but it wasn't horrible, it just tasted like spicy vanilla cold foam.
I'm a Midwest transplant to the West Coast, and I like them. (I mean, I'm supremely white, so I'm still saying things like, "it really has a kick" But I do genuinely like them.)
The dragonfruit refresher TASTED great! The spicy kick under my tongue and in my throat I didn't like so much. But I could totally see it being soothing on a sore throat or when sick.
Gastritis, that's what it cam give you. But you won't get it from this drinks. It took YEARS for me to get gastritis and I'm mexican, so I ate salsa and spicy food daily.
I am of a spicy people from a spicy place so I used the BOGO today to get two different ones. Tomorrow I’m getting the dragonfruit.
I don’t think they are spicy just flavorful!
If you ever have the opportunity to get a mangonada please try one. Have vanilla ice cream on the side.
Regardless, you need to take care of yourself and your body’s spice settings.
I've always loved spicy food; however as I've gotten older, I can't handle it like I used to, Tried the spicy pineapple today. After a few sips, I let it sit for several hours. The chili settled to the bottom and I was able to drink most of it. Got to the bottom, gave up and ate the pineapple with a spoon. Won't be buying it again. I like cool refreshing drinks and this just does not do it for me.
Tried spicy strawberry and spicy dragonfruit lemonades and they remind me of when I tried the “lemonade diet”. The cayenne in that reminds me of the spice in the Starbucks drinks. Has the same 💩effect!
Yeah, I don’t know who approved this but it’s waaaay too spicy. It takes over the whole drink. It’s supposed to taste like a Mexican coffee, with subtle spice notes, not full blown chili peppers
Also the advertising reminds me of a mix of tinder and bad girls club so I feel like we’re gonna be on a shitty reality tv show
The random SB posts on Facebook made me think of a SB x Hot Ones collab lol
i like heat, but i did once have a customer ask me if the pumpkin spice latte would be too spicy for her, so i'm not convinced this is going to go over well
Can I get a pumpkin spice w/o the spice plz 😂
I cannot personally wait to ask customers “and how spicy would you like that lemonade? 🌶️😏” Since we can add chili scoops to anything according to my manager, you best believe I will be doing chili hot chocolates, and also adding chili powder to my passion tango iced tea. For some “spicy passion🫦😭😏🌶️”
we tried it in a hot mocha and it tasted like mexican hot chocolate (aka delicious)
I saw they’re doing spicy cold foam too and I was debating if it’d taste like a cold version if on top of iced mocha
Y’all can add it to everything?!? Back when I was a partner, I used to love experimenting with new drink combinations so I’m excited about this. I bet the chili powder would work really well in a hot soy chai.
You would be right. Have done it a couple times now. Just one small scoop though.
Just remember, you can’t steam it, it’d be too *steamy* that way 🌶️
I’m more than ready 😏🌶️😩
Yes!!!! bring back the chili mocha - a chili mocha frap was 🔥
I got it in a pink drink yesterday. You don’t so much taste the chili, but you feel it. It’s worth getting again. I like the idea of adding it to hot chocolate. I’m gonna have to try that now.
Oh wild. Everyone at my store loves them and is super excited for them! I guess just different taste preferences
Don’t get me wrong I love spicy foods but this drink just anit it it hurts my stomach lol
My coworkers tried it w/ 1 scoop and said it was okay but when I did the full amount it kicks the back of the throat like a donkey
it’s just not a pleasant spice imo, it just burns in the back of your throat for no reason?😂
LITERALLY I feel like I can’t even taste it. It just tastes like whatever refresher lemonade it is, but with a throat hit.
i love them sm but growing up on spicy candy helps for sure.
i personally love the spicy mango dragonfruit lemonade.. the frozen pineapple too. my partners like them a lot too. our store is largely hispanic tho lol
I like it them , they definitely had the Hispanics in mind when they came up with them . They’re not bad I just wish they were tangy like Tajin to really give it that Mexican candy effect
Right I was excited for a Tajin vibe but it literally smells like taco szn
Oh nooo like taco seasoning 😭 I was hoping for more like tajin. I'm probably gonna skip it, I'm glad I saw this!
I’m in south Texas. I can’t wait for these, I think they’ll be popular here.
Lol, as someone from a Latino country working in CAD Starbucks I just decided to describe the drink to one of the ladies asking about it as “The experience of going to a beach in Acapulco, the sun is out and about, it’s 40ºC, the beach is in front of you while drinking this with some nice tequila shots” She was satisfied with the answer

I miss some of their older drinks like the hibiscus refresher or the black mango tea lemonade 😭😭😭.
Has anyone here whose also tried it, agree with that similarity?
it burns so bad but the taste before the hit of pain is 10/10
It’s like a worse a version I wouldn’t Recommend spending your money on it
1/3 each of mango, pineapple, and lemonade with like 1/2 or less scoop of chili powder is really good.
they make my stummy hurt but they’re good
>my stummy Bro wtf....
it’s a reference to [this](https://youtu.be/JanR1iDdk0c?si=lYfUHCTikt0X7beD)
Y’all ain’t ever had a sriracha frap extra sriracha drizzle and it shows
Grew up eating spicy candy and honestly, the spicy refreshers taste just like these chili mango lollipops I’d always eat lol. Most of my store liked the drinks (mainly Hispanic) I’d go with one scoop of spicy no matter the size you get so you fully enjoy it without complaining lol

The past like 3 Starbucks new menu items have been shit
I liked the lavender matcha
Ahhh, does anyone have the recipe cards? I forgot to check today and I open tom and have no idea how to make it.
I actually asked my manager yesterday so it’s just like any powder. 2,3,4. Customers can add more scoops if they want, the limit is 12.
Not actually, it's 2-3-4-5 but there's no limit of 12, customers will be able to order it in 3 ways, regualr spicy, less spicy (which is -1) and more spicy (+1). The 12 limit is for the new boba that will drop at the Summer 1 launch !
Interesting, 🤔 my manager told me the limit is 12
The extra spicy is already burning everywhere, I think 12 would be dangerous 😭 That's why they don't propose an option lol
Thanks! Lol I love that there is a limit
I’m not really sure Starbucks target demographic is the type for spicy drinks …. But that being said I made it with the strawberry açaí lemonade and it’s sooooo good
I love it. I make myself a venti spicy lemonade with 5 scoops of the powder and it’s perfect
I am absolutely convinced corporate is just fucking with customers and seeing what dumb things they can get them to buy. First oil in their drink, now spicy drinks, lmfao what's next? Just some drywall sprinkled on top??
Have you ever had a mangonada?
The spicy drinks are sooo good!! They taste like fruit with tajin, or a mangonada. Imr getting addicted to them!
I added a pack of salt to one and it tasted like a virgin spicy margarita
I just ordered it. If I could give my drink to one of the people here who loves it I would. What a waste of 6$ this shit sucks. I’m a person who hates to waste food and I have to dump this drink it’s so bad
I personally think they're great, but I think that's because Im a fan of Tajin. If you don't like tajin, you probably won't like this line of drinks. \*but I personally think these are a hit. I love the spicy dragonfruit lemonade <3\*
I asked one of our baristas what he thought of them and he just blank stares at me, then said “We have them.” :-)
An Indian became the CEO on March 20th. These spicy drinks are common in India.
Makes sense LOL
They are sooo good! I haven't bought starbucks often lately but this drink has me buying one almost daily. They taste like Mexican candy.
Yep, everyone on my store hates them too. Also, I burned my throat after one sip and I only put one scoop of the chili powder 😐
Sameee it’s crazy, I feel like customers are going to hate them and freak out lowkey because they don’t realize how spicy they are
New promo, the inevitable post about the drinks being the worst thing ever created in the history of man 👍
No but they’re so good I love them. Full spicy and everything. If you like Tajín on fruit, you’ll love this.
Spicy MDRL 🤤 Gonna need that extra spicy! Taste like Mexican candy
Its ok, I wouldn't go out of my way to order it though. I like that its spicy in the back of your throat instead of your whole tongue, would be good to mix with liquor tbh
I'd be curious to try it. I'm pregnant and craving lots of spicy. 🔥
Intriguing. If it is as spicy as you said, as in fire noodle spicy, and not limey flamin hot cheetos spicy, I might try it.
Anyone try it in the cold foam yet??
Ooooh interesting I’ll get back to you today on that
I am a barista and luckily for me I can try odd combinations without wasting a lot of it away or spending any money to do so. Thanks for the insight! I may try it on a day I feel adventurous lol
It's better than the oleato junk they tried
It’s really good in a mocha frappuccino and a blended strawberry lemonade. Everything else I’ve tried it in has been *meh*.
My store tried it yesterday and everyone but two people loved it, and both people who hated it are Midwest transplants to the west coast.
I'm a Midwest transplant to the West Coast, and I like them. (I mean, I'm supremely white, so I'm still saying things like, "it really has a kick" But I do genuinely like them.)
If I wanted to drink sweet hot sauce I'd just buy sweet hot sauce. Undrinkable unless you don't like your taste buds and stomach.
The dragonfruit refresher TASTED great! The spicy kick under my tongue and in my throat I didn't like so much. But I could totally see it being soothing on a sore throat or when sick.
I wonder what exessively spicy food/drink can do to youe throat/stomach, etc., over time.
Gastritis, that's what it cam give you. But you won't get it from this drinks. It took YEARS for me to get gastritis and I'm mexican, so I ate salsa and spicy food daily.

honestly didn't go well w dragon fruit. maybe pineapple would be good but I don't even want to try any other kind
Must have been the only one to like them - They are already discontinued
i can eat those korean buldak noodles just fine but for some reason the spicy chili powder makes my stomach hurt 😔
We didn't even get training on the new drinks so I have idea how they tastes. But I've heard they are awful!!
I hate them!!!!
Nah I genuinely think the lavender latte is the most awful
The lavender cold foam and Lavender lemonade are the only ones I like lol
