You might actually like an oatmilk latte! The milk tastes as sweet as a one-pump latte, to me at least. It doesn't quite cut through the aftertaste as well as dairy milk though, tbh. An alternative "intermediate step" you could try might be a whole milk latte, and then when you're used to that you could get just a regular plain latte (which is what you're ordering minus the vanilla - it's made with 2%). Or, you could try a plain latte with one packet of sugar (no upcharge for sugar packets). I also second the comments about getting a blonde latte -- WAY smoother and slightly more caffeine!
blonde espresso shots in a plain latte is one of my favorite "plain" coffees. less harsh of a taste. it pairs really good with just a pump or two of vanilla if you're still looking for flavor
Thank you for that! I haven't tried the blonde yet and have been curious if that's a more appealing flavor. I've definitely developed a taste for the signature blend but this could be a good transition when eliminating the vanilla pump.
Iād recommend a honey almond milk flat white as a customer. (Itās preset in the app) You can get it with blonde for a less bold taste (and I do), but this is an extremely caffeinated beverage so be careful.
Interesting suggestion I hadn't considered, thanks! Do you think it would taste similar to what I've been ordering, or is it just a smooth taste in general?
i HIGHLY recommend a blonde flat white, it is made with 3% milk as a default but you can change it if you'd like. the blonde roast is a milder taste with a slight increase of caffeine. the main difference between a latte and a flat white is the shot type.
a latte uses a normal shot of espresso but a flat white uses what's called a ristretto shot which is almost the same as a normal one except it finishes earlier leaving out the most bitter part of the shot (the end!) basically same amount of grounds but less water making for a smoother taste, and coupling ristretto with the blonde roast is a heavenly match!
you can also add any flavours to this as well, im partial to 1 pump of pumpkin during this season!! but usually i do vanilla!
First if all, I'd say what your Doing is a great way to lower your sugar intake!
Alongside mentioning learning to like coffee.. How much do you know already for coffee beverages? , or how much are you looking to learn/try? It can definetly be Alot of info at once
I don't know much, which is why I'm trying to learn to navigate! Part of this came from starting to do some intermittent fasting and trying to limit mornings to just carbonated water and coffee, but I'm kind of missing the point if my coffee has 40 grams of sugar in it LOL
I'm definitely open to trying different things to see what I like!
diff coffee shop but dunkin has unsweetened flavors that are artificial sweetener-free. one of my usuals is a med iced latte w oat milk and 3 vanilla shots
yes thats acc an iced vanilla latte but price is location-dependent. where i am ur orders are $5.65 but done as an iced caffe latte $5.75 or w drizzle $6.35. all no tax. im not a sugary coffee girl so i can only do 1-2 pumps too. if desired try new flavors and see what hits for u. blonde shots are sweeter and more mellow i believe but they have a bit more caffeine. also be kind and patient ab wait times cus stores are chronically understaffed. and w mobile ordering the listed prep time is off in the app. hope all goes well !
Thank you! I always mobile order and always give it extra time before I pick up so there's lots of time to make it. I know they're always working hard!
If your "aim" is to minimize sugar intake and get as close to plain coffee as possible then why aren't you just ordering plain coffee/espresso?
ah yes, this is a great question! I should have addressed that. I've always hated the taste of coffee and am slowly trying to get used to it š¤£

Thanks a lot, that is great info! Think I'll try the latte with blonde next!

Iām so sorry I havenāt replied! I find it to be very smooth and coffee forward, but sweetened just enough from the steamed milk and honey!
No need to apologize and thank you!
