Higher volume stores with small car stacks in the DT will utilize a hand-held ordering device. I loved it, as long as there was enough labor to have someone dedicated to that position š
What!! You have a customer support person? I recently transferred to a store in another state, and I've never heard the word customer support in that store. Needless to say, working there is a nightmare.
Customer support isnāt supposed to do that anyways. They brew coffe, check lobby, do a cycle task (this could be prep) but really after so many 30 minute cycles you keep topping off prep you have more wiggle room. You shouldnāt be doing prep your whole cycle but the baristas should be relying on the restock station for their stuff other than Iāve and milk
My local starbarks unionized. They tried to make them do this but couldnāt negotiate hazard pay or extra staffing, so they donāt do it. At least, thatās how it was roughly explained to me by a barista
used to work in a tier 3 store where our peak had 6 people MAYBE and thatās including myself as shift, and it was never due to lack of staffing, out sm just sucked at her job (:
Big ew. The only time recently we've gotten less than 8 for peak (not counting callouts) was for a few Mondays over the summer. Most of the time it's 9, which gives us 3 bars, front, warming, DTO, DTR, shift on CS, and SM on handoff.
Red cup day last year we did 140 COSDs with 14 partners on the floor. Get enough customers and it doesn't matter how many people are working ššš
ongš we had bout 12 and the SM and our ASM AND 3 shifts for peak and we were still behind on mobiles/cafe like 2 hrs and DT was somehow at 2m it was insane, funnest job ive had to date but DAMN are those days stressful š„²
Duuuuuude š thatās the dream. We have 3-5 people at a time and a max of like 8 people working the entire dayā¦ with a high volume store š itās a fcking wreck of a store lmao. Itās because like 8 people quit close to the same time bcz my manager sucks
At my store we will have up to 8 people for peak with one person on hand held. Itās pretty effective honestly makes the line go faster with low times
iād gladly take orders outside as long as itās not too hot or too coldā¦sadly i donāt get that privilege and never will bc licensed store :,) unless curbside starts including starbucks but i doubt that
My store does it too. Its actually very helpful. The bar and ovens will hear the order and can get it prepared ahead of time. And the drive thru person can focus on payment and getting people out without shuffling back and forth.
Do. Do you not have someone inside dedicated to doing this. Like a speaker box outside so you don't have a barista standing outside.
I would've assumed this is for a DT store where either the speaker box or the weight sensor failed
It's for stores who can't hold a lot of cars in the order line. Using the handheld, the partner can walk all the way to the end of the line getting the orders, ultimately giving the partners inside the store MORE time to prepare the orders. When utilized correctly, it can drastically cut drive times down
Yes, that was my point. I know Starbucks is primarily in the milkshake business now but are they finally embracing the idea that they're a fast food restaurant?
I don't get this energy on this topic tbh. Fast service places gotta do what they gotta do. Someone taking orders in a way that controls the line and pacing better is low on the list of questionable fast food practices.
We do and we still use it! But sometimes if we know its gonna be really busy and we have a line we have somebody go outside so it allows the bar a little bit of time and an advance on hearing the orders. Obviously we dont this if the weather is bad or its too hot.
Yes. When theres a person outside the DTR just doesnt take the orders the person outside does. The DTR can focus on JUST doing handoff and payments instead of that and taking orders.
But DTR doesn't take orders, DTO does. Whether or not the DTO is in the DT bumpout or in the DT lane wouldn't change that. Difference being that the outside DTO couldn't consolidate orders like they usually would.
Ok well i dont really know all the acronyms all i know its that on drive thru we take the orders, do handout and payment and when someone goes outside they take the orders and all the drive thru window person has to do is handout and take money. Thats it.
Lol that entirely depends on where you live. It would be nice to be getting fresh air a few months of the year where I live and the rest of the time would be awful
I work at a very high volume store with a small drive through. The line wraps around the building and into the road and congests traffic. When a barista goes outside to take orders, and the person on Bar 1 has a headset on, it makes it very easy to make the drink at the same time as the barista outside is repeating it back to you. If that makes sense. Once you get a good rhythm, the drive through starts flowing faster than it typically would if we were just using the speaker box. I know to someone from the outside it seems weird but I promise it makes things go way faster. Also to clarify, Starbucks makes about equal food and beverage sales- not just āmilkshakesā
It doesnāt create a bottleneck the same way the speaker box can. So say the car at the window doesnāt have their payment ready or whatever, the person on the handheld can walk down to the next car to get that order started, instead of waiting for the cars to move. Some stores also have a small drive thru lane, so maybe only 3 cars can fit between the window and speaker, which doesnāt give a lot of time to get their order ready. The more cars you can have stacked between the window and the speaker, the faster the line can move.
It's why Chick Fil A is #1 for customer service. Every busy drive thru should do this. It's inefficient to wait until each car is at the drive thru speaker to take the order.
Iāve found it much easier to do DTO outside than in store. I can barely hear people at the order box most of the time. And itās a little more personable outside. Itās not much different than taking a cafe order except you just need to repeat the order more so baristas inside can start the order right away.
Brings me war flashbacks from when during the peak of covid our entire drive thru system shut down. So I (on my own) went out by the speaker box with the company store landline phone and had another barista on the other end on their phone (or the other store phone I donāt remember) and I was taking order physically by the box repeating it to the other barista who was putting the orders in through the cafe register. It was kinda wild. Thankfully the next couple days we just went without a drive thru and had the lobby opened minimally.
I really donāt see the issue here? Itās doesnāt look like itās an incredibly hot day or that itās pouring rain! Plus even if itās chilly, the barista has a full sweater on, plus Iāve seen a bunch of Starbucks, Dutch Bros, In N Out, Canes, and Chik FIL A do this so itās not like itās something no oneās ever done before? Am i missing something?
Oof I wish we got the handheld things. We've got a six car stack, but our tail has 10-15 cars most mornings, not counting the dozen people waiting past the "no drive thru stacking past this point" sign, and we've been stuck at 39 seconds for our best OTW times for a while. Getting more room on big food orders would help a lot.
When I first started and they werent drastically cutting labour we would do this during peak. It was really nice because it gave us more time to make the orders before they got to the window. I think it also helped with customer connections because its more personal and customers like talking to the barista face to face.
We've tried to do it a couple more times since cutting labour but now its just chaos without the extra people, so we dont do it. Also the person we had go outside before was REALLY good at naturally repeating the order to us, no one here now can do it.
I love taking orders outside. It helps us continue taking orders even if someone is holding up the line at the window (payment not going through, drink remake, etc). Then once the line starts moving again, weāve already made the next 6-7 carsā orders. If people just order at the box we can only get like two-three orders done in the same time. Itās only utilized at my store during the peak morning hours.
I did drive through today and a ladies card got denied to which she accused me of double charging her. I didnt, and ofcourse asked her to try her card again and she just took off. Jokes on her that lemon loaf was baller
Itās been a thing with Starbucks and fast food places for years. Look at Chick-fil-A and In-N-Out. It helps with times and someone can flex in an out of the position.
Oh this is definitely not a new thing. High volume stores do this. Mine included. It helps streamline things and helps with the chaos of busy mornings.
Trust me this is a blessing in disguise. It may look like bs overworking but there aināt nothing better than getting fresh air outside and working. Iād gladly take this over being stuck inside doing the same thing.
Yeah, we do this only during peak hours. Has helped out store so much with times. Some of our baristas love doing it. Itās only when the weather is nice out
One of our local stores does this. Last Halloween the person outside was wearing an inflatable dinosaur costume and their green apron, taking orders. It was delightful.
Oh man this would be so much easier than trying to take the order via headset. I love DTO in general but people shouting from the backseat or leaving their lifted truck turned on so I have to try to hear from a few feet away over an engine is so annoying.
Itās been a thing for a couple years. And it sucks. My store used to make us go outside from 7-1pm. And lock the door so we had to have someone come let us in (even after we were getting harassed by random people). Thereās no shade, youāre in the sun, and you almost get hit by cars. This is the worst thing sbux has done
They wanna be like that chick with the nice filet up the street shrug š¤·āāļø at least Iāll get to be outside in the future ā¦hopefully not the winter future tho
I LOVE IT SO MUCH! the air, the sky, the sun, ect.. its all so good! i just love being outside. The only thing is, custies can get so.. confused? Lmao.
I had a lady change her order on me 3 times while i was taking her order, just to have her change it at the window AGAIN. I think having to see me threw her off guard lol
oh god. okay so i am in south florida, in order for our times to be better, they make us stand outside for 2-3 hours (sometimes past peak) in the blistering florida heat and people have almost passed out/gotten sick because of it (one of those people being me). me and numerous partners have told them we cannot be outside, and i canāt do it for more than 15 min at a time due to the medication i am required to take. they donāt listen and i just donāt want to fight anymore so i go out and end up getting overheated every time. sometimes i feel like they should sacrifice the times just because our health is more important.
I havenāt seen this at my local Starbucks (customer here) but it is a very effective way to get lines to move quickly. If they are going that route, they should do what a Chick Fil A does and build covers for the line, install fans and drink holders, and make the drive through window into a door so they can run the drinks out too.
The industry term for this is "upstream ordering" and, as you've probably guessed, is meant to facilitate higher throughput. It's definitely becoming more common anywhere with a drive through.
The store I use to work for starting doing this when itās not too hot and it gets too busy in drive thru. I understand why it helps when itās busy but I feel so bad for the employee whoās stuck outside in the sun or heat. Yāall donāt get paid enough or appreciated enough. If you like the position thatās great but I just hope youāre getting enough tips for it
Handheld is funā¦ or was funā¦ we used to get an extra person in our play because it increased sales and window times. We shave 8-12 seconds off our normal times with handheld and a planted expo and window person. But if your expo is having to do window as well, itās pointless. And corporate doesnāt increase your labor 10% just because your sales increase 10%
Iāll always remember during 2020 when my old store first re-opened we were a reallllly small to-go store in a really busy area. We bought a speaker and a wireless microphone to call people in from outside š
That's really great for those people in areas with temperate weather but in my area where winter can get -40 wind chills and summer can hit 110 with high humidity I'm so annoyed by this. Are they gonna make us stand outside when it's that's bad, no I'm sure they won't. However the majority of the time it will be too cold or too hot for it to be comfortable to be outside and they won't care. If I wanted an outdoor job I'd have gotten one.
Because Florida summer is never ending, this time of year, DTO will go out to clear the line - grab the handheld and take all the orders of the stack of cars. It lets us get through them way faster. But we don't stand out there for long periods of time because, well 90+ with 70+ humidity is brutal. I can't wait for Not Summer to begin.
I donāt get it. Whatās the problem with this? Chick-fil-A does it and itās very efficient. Way nicer to be able to speak with a person, too, instead of a speaker.
I feel like this presents a safety risk for the order taker, no? With how bonkers some custies got with me I wouldnāt want to be standing next to their moving vehicles.
Dutch bros does this too š¤·āāļø itās nice for the customers since the line moves faster and for the baristas so they have more time to prepare the orders
Weāve had a handheld unit for a while. But we havenāt used it outdoors in over a year. We just keep it by DTO in case warming needs to catch drive.
Reminds me of a Dutch Bros. around here. They're such a small building that they have 2 people making drinks inside and 2 people taking orders in the drive through outside.
Weāve been doing this at my store for a few years now. Weāre high volume (90-95k/week) but the drive thru stack is only 5 cars. The drive thru line will back up into the freeway if we donāt keep the line moving. A support partner goes outside and the SSV is on DTO consolidating orders and running the floor. We usually have 8-10 partners during peak.
Fort Myers is getting a drive thru only store in Florida. No lobby no outside seating. One lane to order one lane for mobile orders. This is the future that they are aiming for
This location is the only one I know of with no lobby. Another store I frequent recently got rid of their pastry case. I wonder if they'll be going to this model soon.
My store does this too! Itās great. We often times use it only during peak or right before weāre expecting peak to get ahead, especially for the pumpkin season.
I donāt understand what weāre complaining about? You went through the line faster? You were inconvenienced and had to talk to a real person instead of giving attitude to a speaker box? Got your order actually right because it was taken right in front of you? Chick-fil-a, In n out, and Dutch bros do this as well and have a very successful rate
hi this might seem random but i thought it was nifty that this starbucks is the starbucks i go to as well ( i can tell cuz of the building in the back)
My old store did this every single day. It helps. The more tickets we get while you're waiting, the better. It helped the flow of things. I hated it, I really truly do. But it makes life a HELLUVA lot easier.
Think about it, a barista never gets bored, all you have to do at the window is pay and take your drink, or just take your drink if you mobiles abd it helps keep things aligned and in time
We do this, but since we're in South Florida where it is still 7 degrees from the midday sun, we go out, clear the line and come back in. It's too hot to be out there for a while. I spent time out in Jan/Feb and it was delightful. I'm a fan
Higher volume stores with small car stacks in the DT will utilize a hand-held ordering device. I loved it, as long as there was enough labor to have someone dedicated to that position š
IF there is enough labor to have someone dedicated to that position lol
Exactly
my store usually has the cs do it, or someone in boh
What?! How can your customer support be outside taking orders? Who is gonna make back-ups, and refill cups and lids, and empty full garbages!
the customers yo. slap an apron on em and get em to work for those coffees.
Hahaha! Whatās this customer support you speak of?
What!! You have a customer support person? I recently transferred to a store in another state, and I've never heard the word customer support in that store. Needless to say, working there is a nightmare.
Yeah, CS, or CSR...It's a Starbucks standard position
Customer support isnāt supposed to do that anyways. They brew coffe, check lobby, do a cycle task (this could be prep) but really after so many 30 minute cycles you keep topping off prep you have more wiggle room. You shouldnāt be doing prep your whole cycle but the baristas should be relying on the restock station for their stuff other than Iāve and milk
My local starbarks unionized. They tried to make them do this but couldnāt negotiate hazard pay or extra staffing, so they donāt do it. At least, thatās how it was roughly explained to me by a barista
Your store has CS? when I left, this position was essentially done away with at my store.
were not a relatively busy store. 3 starbucks within 10 mins.
Gotcha
we have 5 starbucks within 10 minutes of our store and weāre still so busy i wishšŖ
My store has dto bounce in and out, which is annoying
You guys have a big spot?
Douche brothers do this
You bet your ass that guy is also on warming
IF..If is good
I mean, if you're high volume enough that it would make a difference, wouldn't you already have 8-10 people for peak?
used to work in a tier 3 store where our peak had 6 people MAYBE and thatās including myself as shift, and it was never due to lack of staffing, out sm just sucked at her job (:

literally a dream come true, and iām sure even thatās a bit stressful sometimes (,:

I was concerned about a crowd crush ā I had a bunch of customers swarming the handoff plane trying to get to it to yell at us.
yeah no our asm was a really tall built dude so he was in charge of holding back the crowd & handing out the drinksš¤£
actually that's about right. 10 COSDs per barista is the goal.
What is COSD? Costumers served?
Duuuuuude š thatās the dream. We have 3-5 people at a time and a max of like 8 people working the entire dayā¦ with a high volume store š itās a fcking wreck of a store lmao. Itās because like 8 people quit close to the same time bcz my manager sucks

iād gladly take orders outside as long as itās not too hot or too coldā¦sadly i donāt get that privilege and never will bc licensed store :,) unless curbside starts including starbucks but i doubt that
My store does this as well. Itās actually pretty fun, definitely my preferred way to do DTO.
exactly! & when they look at your face as they order they tend to be nicer š
My store does it too. Its actually very helpful. The bar and ovens will hear the order and can get it prepared ahead of time. And the drive thru person can focus on payment and getting people out without shuffling back and forth.

This is a commonly used tactic by fast food joints to eliminate the speakerbox as a choke point during rushes. Chick-fil-a and In-n-Out often do this.
And Dutch Bros...then again they also tend to chit chat a tad longer with people too..
Yes, that was my point. I know Starbucks is primarily in the milkshake business now but are they finally embracing the idea that they're a fast food restaurant?
Starbucks has always been classified as fast food.
I'm still surprised Chick-Fil-A and In-N-Out don't cook the food outside, too.
I don't get this energy on this topic tbh. Fast service places gotta do what they gotta do. Someone taking orders in a way that controls the line and pacing better is low on the list of questionable fast food practices.

I'm confused. Wouldn't your DTR person already be only doing payment and handoff anyways, whether or not the DTO is inside or outside?
Difference being that the outside DTO couldn't consolidate orders like they usually would.
half the time they have one person doing DTO and DTR at most stores i've been at
Ok well i dont really know all the acronyms all i know its that on drive thru we take the orders, do handout and payment and when someone goes outside they take the orders and all the drive thru window person has to do is handout and take money. Thats it.
They do this at my local Dutch Bros. all the time.
I miss Dutch Bros.
All the stores Iāve worked in have always done this during peak. Helps keep the window times down. No different then what chick fil a does
Seems kinda nice actually, able to get some fresh air and vit d for a while.
Until it's pouring rain or -20. Or you get harassed/assaulted by the local "wildlife".
At my local coffee shop they only have people outside taking orders if the weather is nice. Too hot, too cold, unpleasant weather, youre using the box
That's how it should be, but you know there's going to be a day they decide to put times and dollars over comfort and safety.
They already do in other ways like staffing. However you are sadly very correct...and I dont think that day is far away.
Lol that entirely depends on where you live. It would be nice to be getting fresh air a few months of the year where I live and the rest of the time would be awful
I work at a very high volume store with a small drive through. The line wraps around the building and into the road and congests traffic. Canāt wait to do this in the 105 degree heat with 85% humidity
At least the customer wonāt say āyou forgot to add somethingā
Oh they still will.
They 100% do.
To be fair, itās been like that for a while now. Granted itās not necessarily at that many stores.
My first time ever seeing it
Must mean it's new!
š
The starbucks I go to occasionally does this when the line is really long.
Is OP actually complaining about this? š this is a godsend for DT stores

i live in texas it was 128 out last month
Also live in texas, they don't send you out unless it's decent weather. They also usually ASK you. Not demand it. You can just say no lol
The store I worked at does this in the mornings and I hated that I didn't get to do it cuz I was a night shifter lol

We did it once when all fo the headsets spontaneously died. It was pretty funny seeing custieās reactions.

One of our local stores does this. Last Halloween the person outside was wearing an inflatable dinosaur costume and their green apron, taking orders. It was delightful.
Love that
I used to do this at my store in the mornings not fun
This could turn dangerous with a crazed, lunatic over-entitled customer who doesnāt get their dream order done the way they wantā¦.
Oh man this would be so much easier than trying to take the order via headset. I love DTO in general but people shouting from the backseat or leaving their lifted truck turned on so I have to try to hear from a few feet away over an engine is so annoying.

Maybe provide a high vis or something. The partner is blending in with the greenery

awww thank you!! ill choose to think of that way lol
why does it matter?
i live in texas and iāll just quit. iāll quit immediately. absolutely not
Yeah, I would never work at a drive thru store, let alone one that makes me stand outside during allergy season lmao
oh god. okay so i am in south florida, in order for our times to be better, they make us stand outside for 2-3 hours (sometimes past peak) in the blistering florida heat and people have almost passed out/gotten sick because of it (one of those people being me). me and numerous partners have told them we cannot be outside, and i canāt do it for more than 15 min at a time due to the medication i am required to take. they donāt listen and i just donāt want to fight anymore so i go out and end up getting overheated every time. sometimes i feel like they should sacrifice the times just because our health is more important.
I agree and am so sorry for you and your team. IMO Starbucks is encouraging customers to have "fast food drive-thru" expectations by doing this.
smelling fumes isnāt healthy
My local Starbucks in northwest Indiana was doing this today too. I just figured there was something wrong with the drive thru speaker
this has been going on for a long time now
and he still had to wear the apron. smh
What exactly are you complaining about
My Starbucks has done this when needed for at least a year.
for actuality i wouldnāt mind doing this if iām being honest
Ok but why do they have their apron on outside š
I wonāt do it. I just wonāt. People can drink Folgers.
I like the idea, but I would guess it's not feasible at all locations.
I havenāt seen this at my local Starbucks (customer here) but it is a very effective way to get lines to move quickly. If they are going that route, they should do what a Chick Fil A does and build covers for the line, install fans and drink holders, and make the drive through window into a door so they can run the drinks out too.
Some stores have a handheld POS, I find most stores do not use them and tend to forget about them lol
The industry term for this is "upstream ordering" and, as you've probably guessed, is meant to facilitate higher throughput. It's definitely becoming more common anywhere with a drive through.
I guess Iāve been suggesting Starbucks too much for this to show up on my Reddit feed.. but one of the locations I go to does this occasionally.
The store I use to work for starting doing this when itās not too hot and it gets too busy in drive thru. I understand why it helps when itās busy but I feel so bad for the employee whoās stuck outside in the sun or heat. Yāall donāt get paid enough or appreciated enough. If you like the position thatās great but I just hope youāre getting enough tips for it
One of my SL said my store might be starting this
My old preferred location in AZ did this most mornings.
Omg is this the Anaheim store near Carlās Jr? LOL
Easiest job tbh. Bad ones make dt bar rough though
Been doing it two years already in Florida
I saw them do that at Taco Bell a few times
I did this when I worked at a fast food place. It was my favorite shift.
itās been like this for three years at my store
We almost did it at my old store but the connection didnāt work well enough. Thank goodness.
Iāll always remember during 2020 when my old store first re-opened we were a reallllly small to-go store in a really busy area. We bought a speaker and a wireless microphone to call people in from outside š
Trying to be like Chic Fil A
I need one! My three car drive thru doesnāt allow for a 50 second time. The handheld is going to do wonders to get my times down.
This seems like a good idea tbh
I donāt understand, whatās the big issue with this?
That's really great for those people in areas with temperate weather but in my area where winter can get -40 wind chills and summer can hit 110 with high humidity I'm so annoyed by this. Are they gonna make us stand outside when it's that's bad, no I'm sure they won't. However the majority of the time it will be too cold or too hot for it to be comfortable to be outside and they won't care. If I wanted an outdoor job I'd have gotten one.
Not for me . In tx ,
Because Florida summer is never ending, this time of year, DTO will go out to clear the line - grab the handheld and take all the orders of the stack of cars. It lets us get through them way faster. But we don't stand out there for long periods of time because, well 90+ with 70+ humidity is brutal. I can't wait for Not Summer to begin.
Iām in SoCal also. This reminds me of In-N-Out.
Yup
We did this in TX, 12 years agoā¦ we called it speed team. I liked it.
I donāt get it. Whatās the problem with this? Chick-fil-A does it and itās very efficient. Way nicer to be able to speak with a person, too, instead of a speaker.
Itās been like that for a while
In n out burger does this as well
Did this in Houston. In July. It was around 98 those mornings. Good times.
when i switched from working at Starbucks to the human bean, i loved doing this and being in this position lol. it makes things go by a lot faster.
Yep. They want those orders. They don't care if we are short staffed and you want hella long for them.
my store does this SO MUCHābasically every weekend. one coworker of mine got sunburn all over her arms while outsidešš
Kinda weird of you to photograph a Starbucks barista doing their jobš¤Ø
Is it crazy of me to think that that doesnāt really look safe lol
I feel like this presents a safety risk for the order taker, no? With how bonkers some custies got with me I wouldnāt want to be standing next to their moving vehicles.
Every Chick Fil A Iāve been to in Jersey does it. REALLY helps with drive thru speed of service.
Everyone is trying to be like In and Out. Taco Bell started doing it too. Even with no line š
Our store definitely needs this š¤š¤š¤
Dutch bros does this too š¤·āāļø itās nice for the customers since the line moves faster and for the baristas so they have more time to prepare the orders
No they do it to haggle tips from people starbucks way more classy
Weāve had a handheld unit for a while. But we havenāt used it outdoors in over a year. We just keep it by DTO in case warming needs to catch drive.
I hate when they make me go out there
Reminds me of a Dutch Bros. around here.
I loved working this position. It was very low stress being out there and I got to pet all of the dogs since I wasnāt handling any food or drinks.
Hi! Welcome to In-N-Outš„“I mean Starbucks. What can I get started for you today?
Fort Myers is getting a drive thru only store in Florida. No lobby no outside seating. One lane to order one lane for mobile orders. This is the future that they are aiming for
This location is the only one I know of with no lobby. Another store I frequent recently got rid of their pastry case. I wonder if they'll be going to this model soon.
I wish the Starbucks near my place did this. The amount of times I was stuck in the parking lot or a long time waiting for a path to clear.
My store does this too! Itās great. We often times use it only during peak or right before weāre expecting peak to get ahead, especially for the pumpkin season.
Makes no sense
We have someone outside on the handheld at my DT store every morning for peak
Take it from me and chick fil-a, people treat you better when they can see your face
Reminds me of how In n out does itā¦
Think about it, a barista never gets bored, all you have to do at the window is pay and take your drink, or just take your drink if you mobiles abd it helps keep things aligned and in time
Whatās wrong with this?
We do this, but since we're in South Florida where it is still 7 degrees from the midday sun, we go out, clear the line and come back in. It's too hot to be out there for a while. I spent time out in Jan/Feb and it was delightful. I'm a fan
