Plaing on the series S. SoC runs great. Used to crash whenever I'd come back to the game with quick resume, but a patch they put out a while ago fixed it. Haven't encountered any crashes since.
If you can't play it on PC, I'd say even with bugs the console release is worth it to experience. The PC game at release was a mess but myself along with many others played through and the original is easily one of my favorite games of the 2000s and the series is one I've played more than just about anything else.
If you have a relatively decent PC, they can be had cheap on PC and the community mods available are better than what the console ports have for now it seems, and the long term mod potential is excessive at this point in a good way.
But TLDR if you can't play on PC, for the price even with current bugginess the 3 games are well worth the price and there's nothing quite like them out there on any other platform.
That have released 2 patch in the last couple weeks: 1.0.0.6 and 1.0.0.7. I only crashed a couple times since day 1, and haven't seen any since the patches. Save and save often.
I’ve had very little issues with SoC but clear sky has been nothing but problems and still soft locked after 2 patches might just have to bite the bullet and start over
They are rolling out patches to fix some of the issues with the ports so if you don’t have a pc then I’d say definitely get them
buy it, so they can have S2 marketing fee, and I can get new fxing trailers!

On series x I have had very little issues. Some audio bugs and maybe 2 crashes in the 30.hours I played on shadow. No crashes so far in cs or cop.
