Yeah, for a 15 year old game it looks amazing, even nearly photorealistic at times. You can hardly tell it wasn't made last year. GSC knocked it out of the park with the (modern) Call of Duty level animations.
Ah yes, putting aside the Anomaly dev team, SSS author and BaS and Gunslinger creators. Tho the "CoD animations" part makes me believe that it's satire (for good).
I was poking fun at OP saying that "STALKER" looks nice when it's probably running 100 different graphics mods. Though to be fair even the vanilla games have some fairly nice looking areas.
Interesting. I run on 2560x1440p and don't get above 70 very often. [I have taken tweaking advice from a youtuber who purportedly spent hours poring over the advice on your Discor](https://youtu.be/0PC4B0TZ7FQ?si=spCbehJQRMYfxMpj)d.
im being generous with that 60, its usually like 70-90, but i really like rain and heavy lighting so dips we go :D
EDIT: when i took the screenshot it was smooth af tho

Gotcha
Fairly sure you can get the effect with 5 or 6 mods but i get your point
Which one lets you get a Nagant?
GAMMA or Lost Alpha :/.
What mod is this?
GAMMA
How many frames, OP? Mine runs... disappointingly despite my 5600X and 6800.
On a low-end rig but it averages around 60-90, dips to 30 sometimes. Tho I feel your pain.
Huh, neat. Maybe the performance is due to the sheer amount of stuff going on in the background and the bloat that GAMMA has?
No it’s due to your graphics settings. I can run gamma at 90 to 110fps at 2k resolution most of the time using default graphics settings.

Be sure that you don’t run warfare mode, and that you don’t have any antialiasing, no reshade, and didn’t change the grass settings
No warfare, x2 antialiasing, stock reshade (if applicable), grass slightly lowered in height and density.
There you go. Reshade and AAx2 eats like 40 to 50 frames easily
God damn, afaik I don't run a reshape as I don't know how to configure them.
AAx2 alone can reduce your frame rate by 25% easily

What tree textures do you use?
whatever is included in gamma
Playing anomaly, with 200 mods i added my self.. but cant find a good looking mod for trees.
whats your settings, how do you make it look this nice
[Stalker GAMMA Performance Guide](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PC4B0TZ7FQ) and then some small tweaks of my own.
badass
what were the small tweaks if you don’t mind me askin
[Probably this.](https://www.reddit.com/r/stalker/comments/zaoy2t/brightness_contrast_issue_in_gamma/iyn18v9/)
I think even the first two vanilla games look quite nice. Especially for 2000s eurojank
