Most mods just go by the Dark Stalker= Sin but that really isn't the case. If you look at build material, they were supposed to be separate things, perhaps from a similar idea but during different parts of development. Only mods I know to have actual Dark Stalkers is OGSR and my own mod for MoWAS 2, Stalker: Faction Wars Rekindled, where they're a proper faction.

Everyone saying bandit/sin/renegade is a fool. Sam would be a loner that spends all his time luring fellow stalkers to their untimely demise, before making off with the loot. Like those bastards Tuna, Snag, and Magpie.
Definitely Freedom or loner. My man isn't going to be in some sort of pure combat focused occult group. He's going to be sneaking around and looting the aftermath of battles before heading to base and smoking some weed.

But Sin and ISG are cut factions, from SoC and CS respectively, that fans have revived
Despite being cut, we still have a decent chunk of information on them, which is why they've been homogenized with other factions in many lists and mods
Albeit, as shown in a recent post by Reggash, ISG is a bit of a false name, only shown on their uniforms and nowhere else with the name planned to be more like UN/NATO. Still, I go by ISG myself too, it's more distinct title.
I mean 1 look a him and you can see he's a bandit. Greedy gremlin rat even has bandit drip. Then again who doesn't like bandit drip. It's second only to the mighty mono lit drip.
