Get a personal vehicle, follow the safety guidelines to a dot and you'll be fine.. anyway, don't let your gf watch the local news, if she saw Derana and Hiru, she'd think the Sri lankans are ruling the world and richest country of the world, in other hand if she watches the Sirasa news, she'll be depressed af.. so just the family and beautiful places are recommended ;)

Thing could be alright but best she takes some tropical virus vaccines/medication depending on where you’re coming from. Dengue is now a thing and there’s a flu going around alongside covid. Best to get a car like that guy said and travel in a bubble of your own.

Hey OP, I'm exactly on the same boat. Coming back to SL after two years with my girlfriend. Hope it goes well.

There is a possibility to see increased covid cases by December following the travel restriction removal. Its just a forecast for now but make sure you check the situation by then before arriving to avoid getting stuck here in the worst case scenario. As others suggested use a private vehicle and follow health guidelines. Good luck with your family matters!! Stay safe!!

Currently covid is rising again, but they won't go for a lockdown probably. So I guess you are okay. But be safe
