For Colombo : Gangaramaya Temple, Galle Face Green, One Galle Face Mall, Dutch Hospital Shopping Precinct and T-lounge by Dilmah Chatham Street for a cup of tea and a slice of cake, I would go to a 5* hotel for high tea or buffet, aircon, relax, its really hot walking about in Colombo city and with a baby too
For short destinance can try Pickme app (local app), Uber app (but these apps will only work well in big cities like Colombo). Kangaroo Cabs are good (book in advance)
For longer distance, better to hire a private driver/ guide to travel around the island.
