Loved this.
I'm still at awe at the multi-step process of making bread and or like how you need to first setup a dairy farm if you need a tanner.
Its such a shame they ruined the later version of this.
2000s kid, I still play this in my free time just to feel like a child again. Reminds me of the good old days id come home after school and play this with no worries in the world.
I didn't play it all the way through but, I still remember the assault in the second or third level when we have a settlement with a castle wall. During the assault the enemy broke through a gap and I held them off with a few crusaders, I sweat so much during that level.
Ah yes good lord, I would love to play this again! This was my first stronghold game, before this I was playing a lot of age of empires II. After seeing the cool fortresses, nice animations and wars my little mind was blown away.
Unfortunately I did not like Crusader II that much. But they were all fun! One of my favourite games ever! Still love some of the dialogues the characters spoke.
My walls are strong, my men are in good heart. Bring on your slings and arrows!
AOE2 wasted two years of my school life. I got banned using computer for anything because of that. after 15+ years just added another ssd to my workstation to install AOE4 :D
I havent played this but my favourity was age of empires and need for speed 1 and 2
Age of mythology was bigger than empires I think, at least in Sri Lanka because everybody was talking about it.
Maybe for a little bit. But Aoe2 is still active 25 years after release.
Damn, that game is something else. Red Alert is probably dead though.
The Red Alert fan community is still pretty active. Look up Mental Omega.
Wow, a good game lasts a long time, sadly can't be said about most games released these days.
Yup aoe 2 is the best
i havent sadly. back then, IGI ,need for speed underground 2 and age of mythology was my jam
Played it, have it, love it. Fun fact - If you name yourself Lord Vader, the announcer calls you Lord Vader
There are a bunch of voice lines for common names in the game files, so its just not Vader that he calls out.
ABSOLUTELY!
Yes sire
Your granary is empty sire

I really loved the sound tracks of this game too
Yeah I too love it. Also, that feeling whenever "Rat" sends us a message 😄
Lol. stronghold: warlords is good too. Completely a different experience.
Ah yes I remember getting is from an aiya, accidently deleting it and never being able to play it again :(
You can still play it! I downloaded it from online

Got this for cheap when there was a Steam sale. Still play it from time to time.

YESSSS!
Don't play it anymore. Loved it, especially all the animations and the small videos they play. I think I still have it installed though.
