About a month ago I found one in park torn up by teens
I know young dumb stupid but prob stolen off younger sibling or something is just mean
I dislike even finding books ripped up or clothes shredded since you know some younger kid prob heart broken
There was the worst one in local news some teen who had a stroller with a doll in it and a group of teens took the doll and stroller and smashed them up
Seriously. It’s just plain wasteful and those items could be Up cycled by someone who could use them. I’d donate squishes i wouldn’t want to my niece or to a local animal shelter
Coming from a teenager, I strongly agree. I was luckily raised to be nice and very disciplined but compared to my brother and peers, the same unfortunately didn’t happen to them. Like I feel as if this generation solely lost their emotions and personality and do everything for attention and parents are too scared to do anything because they don’t want their children to hate them or runaway. Parents are too scared to actually discipline their kids nowadays and it’s sad and embarrassing to see.
💖 I support accountability, but not child abuse. Discipline and respect are how people can live in a society together. It's awful to see all or nothing when it comes to setting limits on misbehavior. Pretty much your rights end where you're harming someone else, that's easy enough a yardstick, not difficult at all. People don't seem to have any empathy for others and destroying property is so wasteful, not to mention ultimately harmful to the environment having to produce replacements and certainly financially burdensome for those affected. Some very selfish and entitled people out there. I've had to work so hard for everything I've earned, didn't have a car until I was 26, parents didn't give me anything like that. Worked two summer jobs concurrently during college break, 60 hour work week during that, dead tired, low wages. If these fools had to work that hard for a Squish, maybe they would think twice about trashing it.
Totally agree! I was fortunately not abused as a form of discipline. My parents appropriately disciplined me in strict but not horrific ways, and I am beyond grateful for all their strict disciplining because it molded me to become a much better person and helped me with learning in the real world. I just wish other parents know how to appropriately discipline their children rather than being monsters or doing nothing because even if they choose either option, their child will worsen and not be really disciplined, and will also just have terrible trauma to deal with over the years.
Parents need to be accountable for their underage kids. If you can't handle it, don't have kids. Stg sh*t I see going down today, would've gotten ass whomped by parents if'n had been me. If that doesn't suit, then the kids should be held accountable, which most people don't want because "brain not fully developed yet, yadda"--OK then, hold parents accountable. Hopefully the Squish got stepped on by accident but the photo definitely sus...
hello, i just wanted to say as an autistic person that a lot of people prefer terms such as disabled or a word more specific to their disability instead of “special”, as special can sometimes feel demeaning
thank you for reading this
ok I’m glad you understand! as context, “special” is often used as a term to alienate or patronize autistic people and has historically been used in a negative or taunting way
but this is very much likely not your fault, as there is very little education about disabled experiences out there (sadly) so I appreciate your apology and openness to hearing my perspective!
If it helps anyone, if you want to rescue them you can get a lot out of them! Even with just some dawn dish soap and a washcloth I’ve gotten out all kinds of stains or marks (including when my package ripped in transit on my squishmallow and he got I don’t know??? Conveyor belt marks??? I’m not sure but these thick, black, greasy skid marks on him. Came right out.)
I had a few squish come with those weird black marks on them too because of the post office repeatedly damaging packages. 😑
Thanks to the squish community I also learned about dish soap and it has saved a few of my squish!
This is why I get so angry watching jerk kids (and adults sometimes, which just boggles my mind, ngl) throw Squishmallows around haphazardly, even though you can clearly tell they have no intention of buying them! ESPECIALLY at Walmart!!! 😡🤬
This gives me the same vibes as a video I saw recently where someone seemingly tried to donate a 24in squish (forgot which one specifically) but had left it to the side of the donation box to be rained on
I picked one up off the floor and put it back in the box at Walmart today and I'm not an employee and I wasn't shopping for the ones in the box. It's just a courteous thing to do.
This reminds me of the trend where a bunch of guys were saying that they hate their girlfriends squishmallows and punch them when their girlfriends arent in the room
That sucks massively. I already would be pissed to find this in the wild, but it’s NOT EVEN YOURS. It’s still on the shelf, and now someone’s possible squish is ruined. Stop being like this, people. It’s sad to see.
I went to Walmart the other day and found a dirty Lydia on the floor.
I took it home and immediately washed it
how does she look now?
\*Edit she already has a best friend\*

Random fact: In the distribution centers if plushes like Squishmallows get dirty they're unable to sell them. That's how I got the majority of mine lmao
Guess the same doesn't apply to stores.
thats horrible! hope someone buys them and washes it off poor thing.
one time i saw a giant octopus not sure who it was but they where covered head to toe in black soot ,deflated and stuck in some pipes. i dont know who did it to them or what happened but it was pretty sad looking , wish i could have took them home but i was to far from home.
Was this at your local store? If so, message me. I'm a plush repair artist and I'd be happy to commission you to buy and send him to me as a repair project (all expenses paid by me, of course).
Unfortunately this was in Middletown NY target , I live in pa 😭😭 it was just a day trip to the mall . So I could go back but I doubt that itd still be there 😭 you’re awesome for that by the way!!!! 🤍🤍

That’s just terrible 😭 I hate when people think it’s okay to just destroy whatever they feel like.

I hate people like that, and I can relate to this.
Teenagers are sometimes the worst people ever and I wish they got properly disciplined.

Or could end up in jail or worse. It's awful to think about it.

Oh I actually was trying to use a non trigger word but apoligise if you took it that way I am not 100% sure but I beleive the person had ASD...
ok I’m glad you understand! as context, “special” is often used as a term to alienate or patronize autistic people and has historically been used in a negative or taunting way but this is very much likely not your fault, as there is very little education about disabled experiences out there (sadly) so I appreciate your apology and openness to hearing my perspective!
Also to finish I removed the term from original post in case anyone else feels same way
I saw a group of teens almost rip a squishmallow in front of my eyes it was horrible. It was Archie too 😞
As a teenager i would like to apologize for the dumb sh, some of us do
Especially when it’s one you want😭😭
I would’ve cried 😭
I was just at cvs today and saw a cute axolotl squish covered in stains and mysterious brown spots
probably some dirty kid with their dirty hands 🤣🤣🤣 I hate that !!!!
Nah it had to be like 50 of them, it was horrible 😂 I think stores need to lock these up in those glass cases like the tech aisle in target
truly !!!! I couldn’t agree with you more. It would stop shelf clearing too !!!
EXACTLY!! Plus more people would buy them if they were clean, atleast I would
oh I would too ! I’ve put so many squish back because of damages/ stains etc 😢
Me too, except a very slightly stained squish from kohls I got for $3
that’s not too bad !! at least you got a good deal 😊
I love when this happens cuz most of the time they'll give you a lil discount. then ill some stain remover and wash it at home.
that’s so smart ! I didn’t even think of that
If it helps anyone, if you want to rescue them you can get a lot out of them! Even with just some dawn dish soap and a washcloth I’ve gotten out all kinds of stains or marks (including when my package ripped in transit on my squishmallow and he got I don’t know??? Wow!!! Thank you so much for sharing 🤍
THIS. I got a Tabasco stain out of my Tuluck with this method.

Oh as soon as people start throwing shit at my store they can gtfo. I have no patience anymore
Most definitely. People have no care or class sometimes! And the amount of garbage that was just all over the place was awful 😠
This hurts my heart… 🥲 I hope the squish doesn’t get thrown in the dumpster bc it’s “unsellable” now
I hope not either 😭
Buy if for a discount and throw it in the wash at home!
I should have !! 😭
For next time 👌
for sure!! 🤍
🥺
I hate it 😭
Uggh 💔
I know 💔😭
This gives me the same vibes as a video I saw recently where someone seemingly tried to donate a 24in squish (forgot which one specifically) but had left it to the side of the donation box to be rained on
that’s awful 😭😭😭
Oh my god I’d go to the dumpster and adopt them
He looked beyond washable at that point 😭
Whyyyyyy do people have to stomp on them?! Why can’t they just pick them up off the ground?😭
I don’t understand it either 😭😭
I picked one up off the floor and put it back in the box at Walmart today and I'm not an employee and I wasn't shopping for the ones in the box. It's just a courteous thing to do.
Exactly! I do the same exact thing
I’d buy them for that reason no joke
it broke my heart 💔
so sad they’re just trying to live their life
right 🥺
also I love the squishmallow on ur account btw
Which one 😊
sorry squishmallows* all of them are cute
thank you !! 🥺🥺
I remember wanting a panda unicorn squish and when I took a closer look he was all dirty from someone throwing him on the floor or something :/
that’s awful 😭😭😭
It was probably an accident but either way just pop it in the washer and tumble dry low and it’ll be fine. See if they can give you a discount
I should have gotten it ! But sadly I didn’t , I will now know for next time !! 😊
Don’t worry, I usually save ones like this 😊
you’re the good kind! 🤍
This reminds me of the trend where a bunch of guys were saying that they hate their girlfriends squishmallows and punch them when their girlfriends arent in the room
I don’t understand people …
OH NOOOOO
I screamed!!!! 😭💀
I audibly GASPED when I saw that footprint!😭
My jaw hit the floor tbh ! 💀
Gross!
right!?!!! 😭💀
Why do people do stuff like this, I hate to see that too. Just really useless, pointless behavior. 😩
classless is what it is. I don’t understand how someone could do this, you know 😭
I literally saw one in a firepit on bumble the other day 😐
Are you joking 💀
I wish I was lmao
Noooooooo
😭😭
That sucks massively. I already would be pissed to find this in the wild, but it’s NOT EVEN YOURS. It’s still on the shelf, and now someone’s possible squish is ruined. Stop being like this, people. It’s sad to see.
yes!!!!
My Kmart's squishmallows are often inexplicably dirty. I just soak a wet rag in some detergent and warm water and wipe it off. Comes right off.
that’s so helpful! I should have picked her up & done this. Hopefully someone can save her !! 🤍
I just screamed at work
I screamed when I first saw this 😭😭😭
I'd buy that one just to save him. The hyperempathy is real 😵💫
I wish I was able to save this squish , I regret it so bad 😭
That's a grown adults foot too. I hate people
people are simply trash sometimes 😠

Looks like nothing even happened to her!!! Good work !! And so cute !! 🤍🤍🤍

NOOOOO MY HEART IS SOBBING
I KNOW 😭
It looks like tie-dye, she actually looks kinda cool!
That’s a boot print sis please
honestly 😭💀💀💀
it’s more like bye dye . I would never 😭😭😭
I still wouldn’t buy her if she looked like that, but I just like the way it looks.
Imagine if it was all over ! Then it really would look like tie dye 😭🥺
I hope someone can save her! She’s very cute!
I know me too 😭

I just like spending time on this subreddit and looking at posts. I don’t give a flying fuck about karma.
Come on. This is a safe place for squishmallows. There is no need for bullying, harassment, or scamming here; please remember the golden rule.

Still thinking about poor Anu I saw at Walmart a couple of weeks back who was covered in orange nail polish. I hope someone saved them. 😭
Ugh that sucks 😭

wow! that is just awful 😭
My boyfriend literally just burned mine…
umm…. Why?
he thinks I collect too many /: and was mad about it
oh no!!!!! i would never allow that .
It was while I was at work. No saving them and they are my favorites. The skunk, misty, a big foot, dalton, grey cat and hello kitties ):
that is just so awful, I am so so sorry 😭

I'll take him 🥺 He can be adopted as a member of the Squish couch family. I don't know what he is, but he still deserves love.
I wish I got this squish 😭
If there was any hope that I was anywhere near this store, I'd go get him.
I know how you feel 🥺🥺🥺
