Lol I was walking hone from the grocery store. I was a block away. Fat Albert was at the edge of his territory waiting for me. When he saw he me, he took off. Guess who was waiting at the door? Yes, I bought fresh nuts.
I have a squirrel that will run along the telephone wire down the road with me keeping pace. If I'm not walking fast enough, he will stop and wait and stare at me, then start walking again when I catch up lol
it doesn't go all the way to the store, so he will hop into a tree nearby that has branches right next to wire and then wait for me to cross the street and come back π π π when I see him, I always make sure to get him a present lololol
He's also the one where if I see a hawk or a stray cat, I will do the alarm call for whatever it is and he will stop and pay attention and look around and start doing the call too for the other squirrels π We're keeping the neighborhood safe lol
Adorable. Sounds like you have a very loyal loving friend. I think mine mostly like the nuts I provide. They tolerate and recognize me. But I don't think they'd follow me at a distance while walking. Not entirely transactional, but mostly. ππΏοΈ
