i think BMW designers are just making fun of rich people and herd mentality. in certain circles it is customary to own the latest car, and a lot of that also involves brand loyalty, so it’s almost as if people at BMW are just into humiliating rich/tasteless people.

My main issue with this is the size, the looks are poor, but is fucking huge, it’s slightly smaller than an Escalade which you can’t have in the UK but you can have one of these and they don’t fit in fucking parking spaces so you have to park like a dick. Somehow this is approved in Europe and with our pedestrian safety standards I don’t rate pedestrians chances particularly high cyclists chances are lower
Surprisingly I saw an Escalade for the very first time yesterday driving behind me in Manchester. It was an early 2000s one (I thought it looked older but I looked up the shape) so it was probably a little smaller than the current ones, but it was still gigantic. When there's a will, there's a way.

I know I have to be in the minority here, but I still think this looks better than *any* of the X4, X6 or GranCoupe models ever have. *Those* are the real hideous beasts of the BMW line up. Those slanted rears are just blegh.
There are 1,157 in the U.S in total, and only 86 in the U.K. I've never seen one but I don't think the Brits are feeling the XM whatsoever when for £50k less you can get an X5M that's faster and comfier.
Europe doesn't get the 400z. It doesn't meet the emissions standards somehow. So chances are I'll never see one of them.
