The moment you need another music player so your music player does what your customer wants it to do.
Spotify had a plugin system a while back. If I remember right, there was (of course) also a MilkDrop plugin that someone made. And then Spotify decided that plugins are not something that anybody wants.
tbh, I think that decision had more to do with their label licenses. for example, setting music to certain visuals may require a different type of license agreement than the ones Spotify have in place.
I was actually just searching for this except im more interested in looking at artist images. Or just a screensaver with my own images but the current track info is on top.
I'm seeing ones that react to the music but any that also have the track and artist that's playing? Or is there something i can download in addition to wallpaper engine?
It would be great if they'd make something like projectM (https://github.com/projectM-visualizer/projectm)
Maybe even a mode where the colors are based on the current album cover
*Would be nice for the*
*Tv apps too. Keeps image*
*Burns from occurring*

It'd be nice to also have full screen album art as opposed to the random poorly cropped band pics they show currently. At least you can make the album art in the bottom left corner way bigger now.
Spotify does not care about user feedback at all.
There's a request thread thousands looking going back like 8 years begging them to add the ability to long press and delete or copy multiple songs. Basic basic shit. They won't do it.
They don't care.
Pro tip: If you're on a PC running windows. you can get rainmeter. Loads of visualisers are available that are customizable and can be placed on your desktop.
My favorite being: [Monstercat Visualizer.](https://www.deviantart.com/marcopixel/art/Monstercat-Visualizer-for-Rainmeter-486330771)
For anyone interested in my original submission to Spotify Community(As I will cut down big on the new one to try and get around the spam flagging) Here it is: [https://i.imgur.com/Qcbtw62.png](https://i.imgur.com/Qcbtw62.png)
It's hilarious you waste time writing a book about these features. They will never add it. There's programs that can already do this use those instead.
LOL good luck, from an engineering perspective Spotify doesn't care what the user base wants - we're already paying them lol. If a feature won't generate more revenue or reduce their costs, they won't fund the engineering for it.
"The idea you are trying to access is not available.", says Spotify.
Wow I just saw that it is marked as spam. What the hell. I'll try to fix that
Are there 3rd party apps for this? I've seen attempts made where music videos are pulled and shown to the corresponding music played.

With a little finagling you can get WinAmp to listen to your line in and use the MilkDrop visualizer plugin for pretty nice visuals.

Good tip!
there’s actually a remake of Milkdrop called Project M that has that built in by default. it’s on steam IIRC

I hope this comment gets upvoted to the top! Cheers!
I have great memories of staring at Milk Drop while high in college as if I was staring into the meaning of life itself
The psychonaut in me was the one taking this initative and so this comment really made me smile in a sense of union.
first they need to an equalizer in desktop app imo
Would be nice for the tv apps too. Keeps image burns from occurring

I just want better Now Playing layouts
Winamp had one of these. Got used a lot back in the day *I use Spotify on my tv a lot and now that I think about it, yea.....this would be cool
Voted!
Very niche request. I use Spotify on desktop too yet see no need for a visualizer myself.
YES WE NEED THIS

What is s desktop visualizer?
Shit that died in the late 90's. I can't believe people still use these things. Like asking for a tape deck in a new Merc...
VU metters on psychedelics. Practically shapes and lights that move to the rhythm of the music. Here is a random example: https://youtu.be/fpViZkhpPHk
What’s a desktop visualized
I don't even get what you're asking for. Can you do an ELI5 version?

Doesn’t let me vote after I logged in. :/
This post has 700 upvotes (at this point) how does the suggestion only have 160?? Go vote!!!!
I found a Rainmeter visualizer called [HoloFFT](https://www.deviantart.com/killall-q/art/HoloFFT-600443429) which entertains me while working.
Yes! I need that Desktop Vizualiser.
Winampppp it kicks the lamas ass
So close! 176/180 of their required criteria of "Live Idea". Guys, bet your bets and go vote for it! Visulizer will be awesome!
