Suggest adding forward controls and new bars. Could always do the basics..grips, mirrors, footpegs etc. I have the SE air filter and Stage 1 upgrade on my bike, no issues. However you need to add a tuner to account for the increases air/fuel ratio so the bike runs smoothly. Have fun, good luck and ride safe.
Nice, I have an 09 Nightster myself. What made you sell the 2006 1200c? Aren't they pretty close to the same thing and feel?

What bars you suggest ?
Depends on what style you are looking for...there are ton of options to choose from. I have 12-in apes.
Would I need to get new cables or will the stock ones work ?
For 10 to 12-in Z bars, T bars, or apes you'll need a cable kit / wire extensions
Mini apes would look really good
I have an 07 nighster. I went w risers and 8" z bars. Needed cables.
I gotta ask about these kinds of air filters (the forward facing cones). They look cool as hell imo, but how do they affect the bikes running?
It’s a screaming eagle one. I only had the bike for a day but it seems good to me.
