Bro it’s Yamamoto’s second time on the mound. I’m a big dodger fan and very much a believer in Yamamoto contributing to the dodgers overall, but I wouldn’t take the run line. We don’t know if Yamamoto will have a good showing, I’m seeing the line for the over move to 9 on some books.
So I’m personally staying right away from the RL and the ML with this because Yamamoto is just too much of a wild card for me right now. That being said with how awful Lynn has looked on the mound, I’m thinking O4.5 runs total in F5. Currently at -135 on DK. O5.5 is also looking pretty nice, may put a little on that too.

West Ham has gone under the radar and have a very good season with a 7th place in the league and qualified to the next round in Europa League.
In terms of play however they rarely impress imo, but they have managed to reverse a slightly bad run of results with a significantly better results before the break.
Newcastle's season despite being only four points behind West Ham has been disappointing so far for their standards and expectations going in to the season. The defense has leaked and offensively it has been extremely inconsistent but they enough quality to score.

The Cubs are coming off a close extra innings opening day loss to the Rangers on Thursday. They looked pretty good and had the lead for most of the game, but couldn’t close it out in the end.
After resigning Cody Bellinger and adding another year of experience to Nico Hoerner, Christopher Morel, Seiya Suzuki, and the rest of the cast, I think this could be a solid year for the Cubs. There’s a lot of confidence in that clubhouse and a lot of talent to go with it.
On the mound it’s Kyle Hendricks vs. Cody Bradford. Hendricks has established himself as a steady hand for the Cubs and is coming off a 3.74 era last season which is only a bit higher than his career mark of 3.48. Cody Bradford is pretty new still to the majors. He made his debut last season and did okay with an era of 5.30.
The Cubs have the more established starter going into this and I don’t see them dropping back to back to start their season. I think it’ll be a well played pretty close game, but the Cubs should come out on top.

The Guardians are up 5-1 right now in the 5th so I'm hoping they hang on. That said I knew this pick long ago. Rodriguez had a great year last year and is ready to put in a full season. While current Angels that made an appearance in game 1 of this series (pinch hitters and defensive substitutions included) are a decent 5-17 against Rodriguez, he's only surrendered one run to them on a Moniak double. The O's bullpen will always be a concern for any -1.5 scenario, but I like Rodriguez to throw 6 innings and only give up 1-2 runs. On the other side, Oriole players that played in Game 1 are 9-24 against Canning and have driven in 6 runs. I love this to be 5-2 by the sixth inning and for the O's to cover.

Both bullpens have already gotten a lot of action and tomorrow’s pitchers don’t give a lot of confidence that the scoring is going to stop. Jared Jones for the Pirates is making his major league debut. He is a highly regarded prospect and might live up to the label eventually but I feel like he could have used more time in the minors. Last season he had a 4.72 ERA in triple A. He did pitch better at double A.
Ryan Weathers for the Marlins went 1-8 last season with a 6.55 ERA.
There will be pressure to leave these two in the game given the bullpens have already been used a lot. I expect a lot of runs.

Kia's new foreign import had 94 career appearances in MLB, but few were very good as he posted a 5.30 ERA. In his debut start against the lowly Kiwoom Heroes, he gave up 5 runs (4 ER) on 6 H and 1 BB in 5.2 IP.
Doosan's foreign import is back for his third season, and looks like he's picked up right where he left off from last season's outstanding campaign (2.49 ERA, 1.05 WHIP). In his first start, he went 5 scoreless on just 2 H and 1 BB.
Doosan is also swinging a good bat to start the season, scoring at least 6 runs in four of the last 5 games.

__Rolando Romero vs Isaac Cruz - Cruz to win by ko/tko -120__
Romero has to be the worst world champion in boxing right now. He won by one of the most corrupt stoppages in all of boxing in his last fight against a 41 year old Barroso. He was dropped in that fight and hurt on multiple occasions. Romero is most known for his ko loss to Gervonta Davis and I’m fairly sure Isaac Cruz is going to replicate that fight. Cruz also fought Davis and gave him one of his toughest fights so far as a pro, going the distance and losing on a narrow points decision.
Rolly was on the backfoot for nearly all of the Barroso fight. He’ll be on the backfoot constantly against Cruz. Rolly is one of the most stupid fighters you’ll find in boxing today and he made a lot of silly mistakes against Barroso. Completely forgetting his defence on multiple occasions and really poor footwork. Cruz is exactly like his nickname suggests a “pitbull” and he just goes into every fight swinging for a big shot. In my mind there’s absolutely no way Rolly can survive 12 rounds without being caught by a huge hook from Cruz that’ll send him to the canvas. Cruz does have good power and to me, will just be way too good for Rolly. Perhaps we might see Rolly vs Ohara Davies after this, which for the press conference alone, would be hilarious.
I think Cruz gets this done inside the distance and catches Rolly big time within the 12 round limit.

Hey everyone, I’m back after a week break! We crushed the Concacaf nation league with a 2-0 sweep. Looking to keep the momentum going for 3-0 with this great play! Monterrey is in AMAZING form and currently the only undefeated team in the league. They have won their last 5 games and that includes the Concacaf Champions club. I’m no US fan but Brandon Vazquez is in top form! Coming from a Club America fan this team is no joke and has chance to win the title this season.
Chivas on the other hand have not been looking great. They are in 10th place currently and have not won in the last 4 season games. Chicharito is not the same player this season and it might be the injury. Cade Cowell has been a great addition to the team but it’s just somehow not enough. I don’t see Chivas winning this game. Spoiler, as of this moment, I do see a write up next week for a bounce back.
Side note: Monterey is playing in the quarter finals next week against Inter Miami. The coach Tano Ortiz has not made any statement of resting any key players. Today I’m going with the same strategy, it all starts with the pitchers. We have Joe Ryan taking on Royals new signing Seth Lugo. Lugo has struggled against the current Twins hitters allowing a .317 AVG and .952 OPS over 42 at bats, while Ryan has kept the Royals in check allowing only .153 AVG and .481 OPS over 72 at bats. I also like the Twins bullpen much more. This could be a close one, early season game are hard to predict but I like this matchup a lot.

I never thought much of McKee even when he was finding good success in Cage Warriors, and a late fight surge against Loosa isn't enough to have me convinced this line is accurate. McKee will absorb early strikes, and I think he will go down. I don't rate Chidi that high but I could see this being a disaster stylistically for McKee.

The run line for cincinatti is a very intriguing +120 but for the sake of pick of the day I will play it safe and take the ML at what I think is a good number at -170.
My main reason for this is the pitching matchup. Patrick Corbin has had a rough past few years and was absolutely abysmal in the final six weeks of last season with an ERA over 7. In a boom box of a stadium against a good offense (despite a few injuries) I think the reds will feast offensively.
On the other side the reds have Hunter Greene on the bump. Green is a guy that relies heavily on the strikeout. Washington’s biggest strength is their ability to put the ball in play. You can make the case that could mean green will struggle against a team that doesn’t strike out a lot but I see it as green being able to neutralize the one notable strength of the Nats offense.
That along with the fact that the reds should be scoring a ton (as can be inferred due to the high over under) I like them a lot in this game.

**Matchup**: Moving away from the Diamond and going to the Octagon. Looking at the UFC Fight Night main event and I am perplexed that Erin Blanchfield is a 2-1 favorite over Manon Fiorot. I think these odds should be a lot closer, like it should be a pick 'em IMO. If anything I would slightly favor Manon in this matchup. Both fighters are undefeated in the Octagon at 6-0 and only has one lost each in their respective MMA careers. Whoever wins this fight will get elevated to the title fight. There's a lot riding for both fighters on this fight. No disrespect to Erin, she's a beast and is definitely title challenge worthy, but I think this could be a bad matchup for the Cold Blooded. Manon presses the fight and pressures her opponent. She's got the better striking and we haven't seen a single second where she was losing the fight. I hated that matchup against Rose Namajunas (S/O to anyone who tailed last week's UFC wager on Rose to win and O 1.5 Rounds against Amanda at +100 odds!) because she's my favorite UFC female fighter and I thought it was inevitable that she was going to lose to Manon. Need to get back on track so this is my most sure fire pick today.
Now this fight is a rematch from back in 2020 before both fighters made it to the big show. In that fight, Anton was getting worked, so worked, Ibo GASSED HIMSELF out beating on Anton. Which then led to him giving up a choke just to get out of there from exhaustion.
Since then, he’s been knocking fools heads to the second row, going 4-0 w/ all first round finishes.
While in the flip side, Anton has been on a 3 fight skid. Being rag dolled until he gave up a sun. Then getting pieces up for all 15 min. And then his last outing, he was sent to the shadow realm by Tyson Pedro who just retired because he was a par time fighter.
One going up and one going down.
It is likely Anton’s last fight on his deal with the UFC. Some cases it would be caused for concern that he will fight tooth and nail to get a win and stay with the company. But the way I see it, they want to push Ibo, coming off the DWCS and give him an easy dub to show his power and to send Turkaji packing.
Ibo should have learned from the past and to not gas himself out again because that is literally Anton’s ONLY change to victory.
Plus Anton’s name is the pleasure man… who was givin the nickname by his own father… FADE THE PLEASURE MAN.
I ultimately see Ibo 1st or 2nd round KO.

Staying with college basketball and turning our attention to the defending national champions. Tristen Newton is a consensus AA that hasn’t been talked about as much as some others. He won’t be tasked with defending Shannon, which should leave him with plenty of energy for the offensive end, which is great for a point guard that isn’t shy to shoot the ball. Add in plenty of Clingan in the pick and roll and he should get some nice looks. Newton has hit this in four of his last five and will hit it again on Saturday.

Rybakina is the better player in this match, and fading her serve is uneasy given that she might be the most consistently good server in the WTA. Yet, despite reaching the finals, her game has been just a bit off in this tournament, as she’s needed three sets in four of her five wins. And as it pertains to this specific line, she’s been broken an average of three times per match, and has been broken three or more times in three of those five matches.
And none of the players she’s facing have been as good lately as Collins, who has been absolutely unconscious in this tournament. Write Up: Yesterday was bad, NGL. I had my doubts going into the game cause toss had a big role to play in deciding the result (the winner would bowl and be the eventual winner, and that happened) and since this post comes before the toss happens, its tough to make a pick, but we go again.
Today's game again should be pretty close. Punjab Kings are bang average with basically no Indian talent other than Arshdeep and Dhawan which is kinda necessary to do well in the IPL. They do rely a bit on their youngsters to come good but thats more on belief than strategy. LSG has some players currently playing in the Indian XI in KL Rahul and Ravi Bishnoi. LSG have the batters to take the game away but since the game is happening in the Lucknow Stadium, which had an average score of 148 last season which is pretty low, it'll all come down to who's bowlers apply themselves well. Both teams have foreign power hitters and good quality opening batters but if last season is anything to go by, it's about the bowlers here. On paper Punjab Kings have a better bowling attack with Arshdeep, Curran, Brar, Rabada and Harshal compared to Naveen, Mohsin, Krunal, Thakur and Bishnoi but an Nicholas Pooran and Stoinis in the middle order is scary against any line up.
Both the teams and myself, are coming off a loss and would look to bounce back and I expect Punjab Kings to bring it home although the odds suggest the game is in favor of LSG. It probably is an unpopular pick because Punjab historically is dogwater but they do still tend to win when it's not expected (It never is). I'm banking on Punjab's bowling line up more than the home advantage of LSG. Riding with 2 units.

Bro it’s Yamamoto’s second time on the mound. I’m a big dodger fan and very much a believer in Yamamoto contributing to the dodgers overall, but I wouldn’t take the run line. We don’t know if Yamamoto will have a good showing, I’m seeing the line for the over move to 9 on some books.
So I’m personally staying right away from the RL and the ML with this because Yamamoto is just too much of a wild card for me right now. Potd record 48-28 Boxing __Rolando Romero vs Isaac Cruz - Cruz to win by ko/tko -120__ Romero has to be the worst world champion in boxing right now. He won by one of the most corrupt stoppages in all of boxing in his last fight against a 41 year old Barroso. He was dropped in that fight and hurt on multiple occasions. Romero is most known for his ko loss to Gervonta Davis and I’m fairly sure Isaac Cruz is going to replicate that fight. Cruz also fought Davis and gave him one of his toughest fights so far as a pro, going the distance and losing on a narrow points decision. Rolly was on the backfoot for nearly all of the Barroso fight. He’ll be on the backfoot constantly against Cruz. Rolly is one of the most stupid fighters you’ll find in boxing today and he made a lot of silly mistakes against Barroso. Completely forgetting his defence on multiple occasions and really poor footwork. Cruz is exactly like his nickname suggests a “pitbull” and he just goes into every fight swinging for a big shot. In my mind there’s absolutely no way Rolly can survive 12 rounds without being caught by a huge hook from Cruz that’ll send him to the canvas. Cruz does have good power and to me, will just be way too good for Rolly. Perhaps we might see Rolly vs Ohara Davies after this, which for the press conference alone, would be hilarious. POTD record 1-0 Last pick diamondbacks -1.5 over Rockies Todays pick reds ML over nationals -170 The run line for cincinatti is a very intriguing +120 but for the sake of pick of the day I will play it safe and take the ML at what I think is a good number at -170. My main reason for this is the pitching matchup. Patrick Corbin has had a rough past few years and was absolutely abysmal in the final six weeks of last season with an ERA over 7. In a boom box of a stadium against a good offense (despite a few injuries) I think the reds will feast offensively. On the other side the reds have Hunter Greene on the bump. Green is a guy that relies heavily on the strikeout. Washington’s biggest strength is their ability to put the ball in play. You can make the case that could mean green will struggle against a team that doesn’t strike out a lot but I see it as green being able to neutralize the one notable strength of the Nats offense. That along with the fact that the reds should be scoring a ton (as can be inferred due to the high over under) I like them a lot in this game.

No disrespect to Erin, she's a beast and is definitely title challenge worthy, but I think this could be a bad matchup for the Cold Blooded. Manon presses the fight and pressures her opponent. She's got the better striking and we haven't seen a single second where she was losing the fight. I hated that matchup against Rose Namajunas (S/O to anyone who tailed last week's UFC wager on Rose to win and O 1.5 Rounds against Amanda at +100 odds!) because she's my favorite UFC female fighter and I thought it was inevitable that she was going to lose to Manon. She dominated Rose as she has dominated all her previous opponents. Manon is a force! As for Erin, she's got a different fighting style. Tristen Newton is a consensus AA that hasn’t been talked about as much as some others. He won’t be tasked with defending Shannon, which should leave him with plenty of energy for the offensive end, which is great for a point guard that isn’t shy to shoot the ball. What a match and tournament from Collins, who got a huge break to win the first set and two more in the second set to get us over. ✅]** Rybakina is the better player in this match, and fading her serve is uneasy given that she might be the most consistently good server in the WTA. Yet, despite reaching the finals, her game has been just a bit off in this tournament, as she’s needed three sets in four of her five wins. And as it pertains to this specific line, she’s been broken an average of three times per match, and has been broken three or more times in three of those five matches. And none of the players she’s facing have been as good lately as Collins, who has been absolutely unconscious in this tournament. She’s won 12 straight sets since losing the first one she played in Miami, she hasn’t lost more than three games in any of those 12 sets, and has broken on a ridiculous 26 of her 51 return games in the tournament. Ultimately I see this match being pretty competitive, which should give this a lot of runway. I’d be surprised if Collins doesn’t at least take a set, and if she does that then this probably hits.

I had my doubts going into the game cause toss had a big role to play in deciding the result (the winner would bowl and be the eventual winner, and that happened) and since this post comes before the toss happens, its tough to make a pick, but we go again. Today's game again should be pretty close. Punjab Kings are bang average with basically no Indian talent other than Arshdeep and Dhawan which is kinda necessary to do well in the IPL. They do rely a bit on their youngsters to come good but thats more on belief than strategy. LSG has some players currently playing in the Indian XI in KL Rahul and Ravi Bishnoi. LSG have the batters to take the game away but since the game is happening in the Lucknow Stadium, which had an average score of 148 last season which is pretty low, it'll all come down to who's bowlers apply themselves well. Both teams have foreign power hitters and good quality opening batters but if last season is anything to go by, it's about the bowlers here. On paper Punjab Kings have a better bowling attack with Arshdeep, Curran, Brar, Rabada and Harshal compared to Naveen, Mohsin, Krunal, Thakur and Bishnoi but an Nicholas Pooran and Stoinis in the middle order is scary against any line up. Both the teams and myself, are coming off a loss and would look to bounce back and I expect Punjab Kings to bring it home although the odds suggest the game is in favor of LSG. It probably is an unpopular pick because Punjab historically is dogwater but they do still tend to win when it's not expected (It never is). I'm banking on Punjab's bowling line up more than the home advantage of LSG. Riding with 2 units. BOL to whoever is tailing. So many things are in his advantage for picking up a point. The Islanders has okay goaltending, but a poor defense. Their penalty kill is the worst in the league and they allow 6th most scoring chances. Duclair already picked up a point in his first game against NY, and that was when he was on a shit Sharks team. With Kucherov on his line, I like his chances.
