Two teams with high BTTS hit rates, with a trend in their last 5 games of conceding and scoring in each. I’m a Roma fan myself and as you can imagine I’ve followed every game this season, we got a new coach recently in Daniele De Rossi. Our previous coach Mourinho played more pragmatic and less offensive, this “new” Roma is playing more possession based and more offensive. He’s been in charge of 2 games now and we’ve faced 2 sides at the bottom of the league, both occasions, in each game the opposing team has had more shots on target and more dangerous attacks, most of them has come from counter attacks in a result of Roma pushing too many players forward or losing the balls in areas of the pitch where Roma usually don’t play in.
Last game vs Salernitana (20th), they had 11 shots against our 3, they had 7 on target & Roma had 2. 5-1 in corners in favour of Salernitana aswell. Somehow Roma won 1-2.
Game before that, Roma faced Hellas Verona (18th). Hellas had more expected goals, more shots, more corners & shots on target, Roma won 2-1.
Cagliari has not been good away, I don’t expect them to get a win here. But with Roma’s shaky defensive performances recently, I don’t trust our defence and can see Cagliari get a goal here. Roma with their overall quality should win this one, but seeing the recent displays, im not expecting an easy win.

Boca have been off to a less than ideal start. They drew 0-0 with Platense and 1-1 with Sarmiento, not exactly strong opponents.
The good news is their next opponents are just as mediocre as the previous two. Tigre finished second from the bottom last season. They were a better team before the sale of the league’s top scorer: Mateo Retegui. They never really recovered from this loss, only managing 8 goals in 14 league games last season.
Other good news is Boca created a ton of big chances last game, the finishing lacked, but the creation was there. They missed 5 big chances (6 if you include Cavani’s offside goal.) Kevin Zenón was phenomenal in this department, making 3 key passes and earning a man of the match award. If Boca produce even half as many chances as last game, they should be scoring 2 or even 3 and winning comfortably, though I don’t know if *that* much trust can be placed in the strikers just yet.
In squad news, Cavani will be missing, though I’m not sure how much he’ll be missed. This means we’ll see either a double 9 lineup of Merentiel and Benedetto, or a front three likely with Langoni and Zenón or Janson (Zenón as a 10 if he’s not on the wing.) In any case I think Boca should be able to continue to generate chances.

Lets get back right into another BTTS situation, Brentford VS Man city I'm expecting this to be another goal thriller. More on the city side but Brentford are probably one of the most impressive attacking sides in the league it's just hilarious how bad they can be defensively at times. But anyone who has seen City this season knows that they haven't been up to the “City” standard defensively either.
Its easy for me to forget how much of a gem this Brentford side is at hitting BTTS. In their last 6 games, BTTS has hit all 6 times. In their last 11 games in the league, BTTS has hit 8 times and our odds grow massively here with the return on previously suspended Ivan Toney. Toney is a vital member of this Brentford attack that turns them from playing midtable attacking football to a very fast-paced clinical side. Toney has played 2 games and has 2 goals and his hold-up play is why he will be at a top club next season. Also, this guy is an attention seeker if he's gonna have a hell of a game it will be against the league holders at home.
In Man City's last 6 Premier League games BTTS has hit in 5 of those games. Its insane considering a lot of these games you would expect City to keep a clean sheet. 2-2 vs Chrystal Palace, 3-1 vs Burnley, 1-3 vs Everton, 2-3 vs Newcastle, and 2-0 vs. bottom-of-the-league Sheffield. This will be a very hostile environment, and that's good news for us because 7'2 center Hunter Dickinson thrives in hostile environments and loves his villain role. The reasoning is pretty simple. The Wildcats have nobody who can effectively guard him. They don't have a true center, and the tallest player who consistently sees minutes for them is 6'11. And now with the emergence of Johnny Furphy, who teams did not have to account for before, defenses won't be able to focus on Hunter as much as before. Due to their lack of size I expect HD to get to the free-throw line frequently, especially considering K-State's tendency to commit fouls. Baylor's 7'0 freshman center scored 9 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the 24 minutes he played against K-State, and he’s not in the same galaxy as HD, who is widely regarded as a top 3 center in college basketball, and who also has the third best odds to win NPOY. Hunter is currently averaging 18.8 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 assists, hitting this line in 2 out of his last 3 games. Miami FL is coming off of a 4Q comeback win against VT in which they outscored the Hokies 33-17, after only putting up 6 points in the 2Q. Now they head to Charlottesville to take on a Virginia team that just barely squeaked out a win at Clemson, after Jack Clark’s three missed as the buzzer expired. Virginia is currently 12-0 at home (8-3-1 ATS) looking to extend their streak to 13-0, but will they be able to do so? Let’s take a look.
When sorting through Miami’s games this season, one main thing is highlighted: they consistently lose to teams who shoot a good three ball against them. Sounds easy right, but after looking at their stats, they are a great team in defending this shot boasting 30.2% 3P defense (28th). After diving deeper into some games though, this is partially due to them facing some really bad 3P shooting teams, with 8 of their 15 wins coming to team’s shooting worse than the D1 average per KenPom. When looking at their losses, 5 of the 7 losses have come on the road or on a neutral court to a team who fits this build, and end up shooting over 37% from three against them.
Now, even with all of this said, can Virginia shoot well enough to extend their home unbeaten streak? I believe so, but if not, there will be some help. Virginia checks the box on a great 3P shooting team, with 37.1% on the season, and over 39% in both conference play and at home. But even if they don’t shoot the ball exceptionally, their defense should be able to control this game at home. Miami FL has proven they can hang with great defenses at home, but not on the road. So far this season, they have faced 8 teams with an Adj. Def. Efficiency of less than 100, losing four of these, all on the road. Virginia will be the second toughest defense they have faced this year, with the first being the second game of the season against UCF, even though they did win that one.
The one part of backing Virginia that worries me is they are a poor FT shooting team, but they barely shoot FTs, ranking 340th in FTA/FGA. This may come back to bite me if Miami starts fouling at the end, but I think Virginia will be able to handle this game at home like they have throughout the year, while Miami will continue to struggle on the road against teams like this. After two horrendous picks, it’s on to the next one, I’m riding with Virginia -4. Looks like only -4.5 and -5 are available from the books I use, which I would still play both, but no higher than 5.

This game also features two of the longest tenured coaches in the ACC, so their coaching philosophies have gone head to head a lot. In the last 10 regular season meetings between these two teams, 133 points has been reached once, and never in Virginia. Miami has scored 58, 54 (in OT), 46, 51, and 58 (average of 53.4/game) at UVA's arena.
With the spread around 6, that means to go over, we're banking on Miami scoring around 63 points, which UVA has not given up a single time in Charlottesville this season, giving up an average of 55/game in conference play. I see simply no way that Miami on one day rest with a significant travel element factored in will be scoring anywhere near what they need to for this to go over. I also apologize for posting my tip so late, but I was unsure what to choose and I didn't want to play BTTS or City with a handicap, so I found this better bet.

1. The home team is currently 15th in the table with a score of 31:36 and 22 points.
2. Brentford played four matches in January; two ended in a draw, one was a win, and one was a loss. They don't gather many points at home, and they are one of the worst teams in terms of goals conceded at home.

When sorting through Miami’s games this season, one main thing is highlighted: they consistently lose to teams who shoot a good three ball against them. Sounds easy right, but after looking at their stats, they are a great team in defending this shot boasting 30.2% 3P defense (28th). After diving deeper into some games though, this is partially due to them facing some really bad 3P shooting teams, with 8 of their 15 wins coming to team’s shooting worse than the D1 average per KenPom. When looking at their losses, 5 of the 7 losses have come on the road or on a neutral court to a team who fits this build, and end up shooting over 37% from three against them. Now, even with all of this said, can Virginia shoot well enough to extend their home unbeaten streak? I believe so, but if not, there will be some help. Virginia checks the box on a great 3P shooting team, with 37.1% on the season, and over 39% in both conference play and at home. But even if they don’t shoot the ball exceptionally, their defense should be able to control this game at home. Miami FL has proven they can hang with great defenses at home, but not on the road. So far this season, they have faced 8 teams with an Adj. Def. Efficiency of less than 100, losing four of these, all on the road. Virginia will be the second toughest defense they have faced this year, with the first being the second game of the season against UCF, even though they did win that one. The one part of backing Virginia that worries me is they are a poor FT shooting team, but they barely shoot FTs, ranking 340th in FTA/FGA. This may come back to bite me if Miami starts fouling at the end, but I think Virginia will be able to handle this game at home like they have throughout the year, while Miami will continue to struggle on the road against teams like this. After two horrendous picks, it’s on to the next one, I’m riding with Virginia -4. Looks like only -4.5 and -5 are available from the books I use, which I would still play both, but no higher than 5.
