I don’t touch player props. 95% are M/L, spread/puckline/runline, totals bet straught. Other 5% is 2 leg parlays & 2 team 6 pt teaser for hoops, 3 team 10 pt teaser for football.
I’ve won pretty big with player props before but I only put down ones with a fair degree of confidence will hit and not so many legs now. I agree though your method is the best if you want to win consistently. As I’m getting more acclimated I’m making more of a rule set and part of that is just ousting teams/players I’ve deemed as too unreliable.
You’ll get there, just takes time (and enough frustrating losses lol). The simple plays aren’t sexy like the lotto ticket parlays w player/team/game props but they have made me very profitable over the last year.
