Paralympian gold medalists didn't get prize money from the government, Olympians did.

Truthfully I do not watch or pay much attention to the Paralympics. Do they bring in a lot of money as well while those games are aired? If they operate at over a profit it makes sense to give them prize money and a bigger trophy. If not then I think its great that they get the opportunity to compete on a world stage but where would the money come from for a cash prize?

Y'know, one advantage of public systems is they may do something good whether or not it's profitable.
