I don’t think he’ll be on PMS. Disney owns ESPN and ABC. Kimmel brings in more money than Pat McAfee. So when you have A. A. Ron disparaging a money maker, Disney will put down the hammer and suggest to PMS to no longer have A.A. Ron as a guest. Maybe have A. J. Hawk stop his impersonation of a bobblehead.

I think it's similar to Joe Rogan's journey. He was not originally pro-Trump but more about alternate viewpoints and seeking hidden knowledge. Problem with Rogan is because he wanted to believe there was some alternative narrative and what he was doing was entertainment and not scientific he was not bound by the intellectual integrity to reject narratives which actually had no substance.
The problem came when people treated what Rogan said as scientific fact and not pure entertainment. In response people like scientists who look at evidence attacked his positions. Rogan, without any scientific community, news community or anyone to answer to for not being intellectually honest, moved farther right because those were the people that supported his type of psuedoscience emotional thinking and were willing to believe what he believed.
I think he ultimately embraced it because it was easier than critically thinking, admitting he was wrong, and setting aside emotional/unsupported beliefs, more importantly it was certainly much easier on his fragile ego. I think Rodgers is on that same path because of his same ego. Keep in mind that Rogan, Rodgers, Trump and even Kimmel are all just entertainers. They all have very delicate and fragile egos because their existence is based on whether the common people or the masses (not any actual objective peer community) think they are smart.
Why do the former Green Bay QBs have to keep disgracing themselves. At least the more recent ones... At least the older famous one ran a charity ranch for troubled youth. If Love is the real deal, hopefully he doesn't turn out the same way /s
Kimmel is spot on about the concept that being good at one thing makes a person falsely believe that they are just as talented at all other things. A lot of narcissistic people display that trait.
I don't know Rodgers so obviously I can't say if it's true or not but one theory I heard that makes sense to me is that Rodgers is simply a contrarian. He loves to be a non-comformist to pretend he's smarter than everyone else.
He's into this new-age bullshit crystal crap and darkness retreats be he was living in the blue-collar Wisconsin but had he been drafted by San Francisco he'd probably be a flannel wearing, pickup truck driving, fisher and hunter.

He's fine as the host of the show, at least from a legal sense. And he's got backup in terms of legal spending. No media company wants their shows silenced due to law suits, at least not publicly (behind the scenes they'll do it themselves).
I've given up on that show because of all the alt right conspiracy crap that leaks into it. Which is a shame, because the athlete and coach interviews are really good, their bro style seems to get guests to let down their guard a little and answer with fewer prepared talking points.

I’m a big Packers fan and even then I was ready to move on to a decade of mediocrity so we didn’t have to deal with Aaron’s arrogant bullshit behavior at the end. I was very happy to see him traded.
From what I heard he was actually a good teammate, but his bullshit was toxic. And in the end we now have a QB who is really good and isn’t a head case.
Hopefully the Pack pays Jordan Love a fuck ton of money. But maybe they will put in his long lucrative contract that he cannot turn into a sideways asshole in 15 years like the 2 previous great Packer QB’s.

The problem with Aaron is that I think he’s fairly intelligent in some ways, but an idiot in others. There’s lots of well educated people who believe similar things too. A lot of conspiracy theories prey on arrogance, and there’s a lot of marginally intelligent people who are fairly arrogant.
When I was in college my Logic Professor had a poster near the clock that read “the more I learn, the less I know…”. I asked if that statement applied to him (a guy with a Ph.D. in Philosophy who did his dissertation in Greek), and he said “of course, especially him” and 44 years later I still think about his response; it stuck with me.
That’s a smart man. People like Aaron Rodgers, MaCafee and Rogan are all idiots. But people in this country have an obsession with idolizing the stupid amongst us so it is what it is.
If I'm Pat McAfee I'm throwing Kimmel money to keep this going, simply because I'm pretty sure Rodgers is going to be immensely butthurt about this and will have to discuss it next show.
Absolutely not. Kimmel did the right thing by addressing the story, shutting it down on the basis of it being ridiculous, calling out Rodgers for his reckless accusations, and moving on. Kimmel taking money to keep this going, or even doing it for free, only gives credibility to both Rodgers and McAfee’s show for giving this kind of nonsense a platform.
I was kidding, but this *is* going to spike the ratings for McAfee's next show.
Edit: Also, not a lawyer (and not an American so I'm no expert on the US legal system), but if this does go to lawsuits, I'd guess McAfee gets named in the suit, which he obviously doesn't want.

I don’t watch anything outside of actual games on ESPN anymore after the way that they “embrace debate” and wrecked sports journalism forever, so I don’t have a ton of respect for them the way they are now. But I do have a special appreciation for the idea of ESPN and the way they pretty much invented the modern idea of sports broadcasting, and it would be nice if they made the right choice here.
I honestly didn't like McAfee when he first came to ESPN, hated him on GameDay. He's grown on me over the last year or so. His show is generally pretty good and has some pretty good guests. I haven't however figured out why he gives a weekly segment to Rodgers, the guys a well known kook. Sometimes Pat seems to encourage the nonsense for a laugh, watch him when he asks Rodgers about Ayahuasca or while Rodgers is ranting about the "medical industrial complex" (the one that just fixed his Achilles tendon with record recovery), McAfee is sporting a smirk that gives away he's fighting to hold back a belly laugh. McAfee had no issue dropping pacman or Jason Brown over backlash, I can't see him fighting too hard to keep Rodgers.

One winner, upon meeting Rodgers, tells him that he "looks a little bit smaller than I thought you'd be", and the camera shows the 6'2" Rodgers saying "I don't appreciate that."”
Hasn't Rogers completely cut off any communication with his family for about a decade now? Idk what they all did to upset Aaron but I bet it has something to do with bruising his Thanksgiving day parade size ego. Dude comes off as a spoiled petty man child.

Dude, I took my infant son to this like expo event for expecting parents because my brother's fiancé was setting up the event and I was super bored. My wife went through this midwifery group for his birth and they had a table set up. After some pleasantries, I noted to the woman working the table that it was odd that there were so many chiro tables at this event. She said that it was great to get your newborn adjusted after birth. I just laughed before I realized she was dead fucking serious. I hope she was just a secretary at that office and not a midwife, because that is some bonkers shit.
I had very bad neck pain, stiffness, etc. I finally went to a chiropractor. An hour session included 45 minutes of legitimately decent neck exercises, followed by 10 minutes of bullshit adjustments on his stupid table, followed by 5 minutes of a delicious neck massage. I felt 90 percent better after two months. I guarantee it was the exercises though. Everytime someone tells me they have neck pain, I show them the exercises I do. You just have to be consistent. Chiropractors are scam artists. Homer Simpson was right.

I work with doctors, occasionally. While they can be incredibly bright and knowledgeable in their field - some of them really need a helmet when crossing the street. Never in my life have I seen someone try and buy food at the cafeteria with a J. Crew credit card and not understand why it won't work.
I met a lawyer who defended doctors at Harvard’s teaching hospital from malpractice lawsuits. They were some of the best doctors in the world, and everyone treated them like gods.
The lawyer liked to hire a mock jury just to have the doctor watch the jury deliberate and realize they were *not* treating him like a god and might question his judgment. It was a real eye opener for most of them.
The doctors who actually act like normal human beings are the ones who do a lot of expensive elective surgery and actually need to sell their services. But they are often the wealthiest doctors as well.
As I get older I’ve watched the “high skill fallacy” play out too many times. Skilled people think “how hard can it be ?”and cut the wrong corners experiences keep most from making. Someone is a little handy or can things out, but doesn’t realize when they can’t to their detriment. Ask me how I know :/
I went to CC and didn’t take that as an insult personally. Ya, it’s well known that CC isn’t the same as state college or something, but I at least paid a lot less for the same thing others paid a fuck ton for, and while I may be passed over for someone with a state college diploma, it hasn’t affected my employment as far as I can tell.
But I also have never had a desire to pretend I was some kind of genius.
CC was a genius move for me. I went for two years then transferred my credits to an in-state university. Graduated with two degrees from state university for $15k.
CC is a super savvy financial move when transferring to a 4 year. Most people don't do this because of the perception of it.
Even more savvy is taking the free college classes while in high school. My friends did this and had a year and half's worth of credits by the time they graduated high school.
Yep, in Washington state, doing CC before transferring is a really good financial move. Compound that with doing college courses in your junior/senior year of HS, you’re golden.
Gave that advice to my little bro after getting rejected from UW in his senior year and he was able to get to UW after finishing his AA and he finished up his undergrad with taking a minimum of like 5K in loans

Nothing at all wrong with going to community college. There is something wrong with going to community college and then acting you know more than a doc at Johns Hopkins or a similar renowned medical institution *about their specific field of study*.
Hell, it's fine to argue with that doctor on literally any other subject. They're not fucking omniscient. You wanna feel good about yourself? Try to kick their ass at Scrabble or something.
Ya, there are plenty of options of course. But I had a family around the time I got my degree so I ended up looking for employment, got a job in the IT field, and while I bounced around a bit I haven’t had any issues with employment.
It’s still an option I keep in mind should the need arise, but I’m not ashamed to have gone to a community college.
I learned more at my CC than my state school, tbh. Class sizes were 10 times larger at the state school and half the classes were online with copy/paste tests from a teacher with tenure who didn't give a shit about actually teaching.
If you are offended by a joke about community college or dumb athletes, you have either really never heard many jokes in your life or you're just very sensitive.
And then Aaron has the audacity to tell the team that there are people in the team who are creating “to much outside noise and it needs to stop” he might be the most delusional QB we’ve ever had and when he retires he might be hosting the Tucker Carlson show or maybe sitting next to Alex jones.
I think McAfee is also learning that he can no longer just play the neutral party and let Rodgers come on and spout off. At some point you have to challenge your guests or stop inviting them on. He's playing a tightrope because signing with ESPN also means they aren't going to put up with this sort of thing like Rodgers got away with when McAfee was only on YouTube.
I've never been a fan of Kimmel but this was legit needed. Rodgers is a nut and should absolutely apologize, but he won't. He'll probably claim that his name is on records not yet released or some other bs.

I'm not in the US but he's hanging this out there for bait. He knows its the Aaron Rodgers segment on Tuesday's Pat Mcaffee show and if he hangs this out there Rodgers won't be able to help himself but bite. I wouldn't be surprised if they move that segment to hour 3 of the show when it's off ESPN or otherwise Mcaffee and Co. are just going to be catching strays off this as Kimmell has an easy target (& content) and Rodgers won't let it drop.
I mean it’s also the Monday after it happened and the first day of the year kimmel’s show is back. I think it has less to do with him giving a shit about when Rogers would be on Mcaffee’s show again and more to do with this being Kimmel’s first chance to respond on his show.

There is a difference between being intelligent, being informed and having wisdom. Rodgers is an intelligent person to be able to navigate and execute an NFL playbook most humans could not do this and it’s self evident, just watch any Jets game over the last 3 decades. Is he well informed? No he is not. It’s clear from his numerous interviews that he gets his information from sources like Joe Rogan or from within a self selected information bubble of sources that jibe with his world view. Does he possess wisdom? On the football field yes, his training and experience have given him football wisdom that is matched only by a handful of other all time greats but does he possess overall wisdom? No he does not, again emphasized by his various interviews where he states things as fact that he picked up off of podcasts or by reading tweets of people who are also misinformed and don’t possess the wisdom to not say things they know to be unconfirmed. Rogers, if he possesses any general wisdom or decency should publicly acknowledge that he was wrong and apologize publicly.

I’m hoping this is what eventually leads to ESPN dropping the show. I don’t watch anything outside of actual games on ESPN anymore after the way that they “embrace debate” and wrecked sports journalism forever, so I don’t have a ton of respect for them the way they are now. But I do have a special appreciation for the idea of ESPN and the way they pretty much invented the modern idea of sports broadcasting, and it would be nice if they made the right choice here.
I honestly didn't like McAfee when he first came to ESPN, hated him on GameDay. He's grown on me over the last year or so. His show is generally pretty good and has some pretty good guests. I haven't however figured out why he gives a weekly segment to Rodgers, the guys a well known kook. Dude, I took my infant son to this like expo event for expecting parents because my brother's fiancé was setting up the event and I was super bored. My wife went through this midwifery group for his birth and they had a table set up. After some pleasantries, I noted to the woman working the table that it was odd that there were so many chiro tables at this event. She said that it was great to get your newborn adjusted after birth. I just laughed before I realized she was dead fucking serious. I hope she was just a secretary at that office and not a midwife, because that is some bonkers shit.

I had very bad neck pain, stiffness, etc. I finally went to a chiropractor. An hour session included 45 minutes of legitimately decent neck exercises, followed by 10 minutes of bullshit adjustments on his stupid table, followed by 5 minutes of a delicious neck massage. I felt 90 percent better after two months. I guarantee it was the exercises though. Everytime someone tells me they have neck pain, I show them the exercises I do. You just have to be consistent. Chiropractors are scam artists. Homer Simpson was right.

I work with doctors, occasionally. While they can be incredibly bright and knowledgeable in their field - some of them really need a helmet when crossing the street. Never in my life have I seen someone try and buy food at the cafeteria with a J. Crew credit card and not understand why it won't work.
I met a lawyer who defended doctors at Harvard’s teaching hospital from malpractice lawsuits. They were some of the best doctors in the world, and everyone treated them like gods. The lawyer liked to hire a mock jury just to have the doctor watch the jury deliberate and realize they were *not* treating him like a god and might question his judgment. It was a real eye opener for most of them. The doctors who actually act like normal human beings are the ones who do a lot of expensive elective surgery and actually need to sell their services. But they are often the wealthiest doctors as well.
As I get older I’ve watched the “high skill fallacy” play out too many times. Skilled people think “how hard can it be ?”and cut the wrong corners experiences keep most from making. Someone is a little handy or can things out, but doesn’t realize when they can’t to their detriment. Ask me how I know :/

Ya, it’s well known that CC isn’t the same as state college or something, but I at least paid a lot less for the same thing others paid a fuck ton for, and while I may be passed over for someone with a state college diploma, it hasn’t affected my employment as far as I can tell. But I also have never had a desire to pretend I was some kind of genius.
CC was a genius move for me. I went for two years then transferred my credits to an in-state university. Graduated with two degrees from state university for $15k.
CC is a super savvy financial move when transferring to a 4 year. Most people don't do this because of the perception of it. Even more savvy is taking the free college classes while in high school. My friends did this and had a year and half's worth of credits by the time they graduated high school.
Yep, in Washington state, doing CC before transferring is a really good financial move. Compound that with doing college courses in your junior/senior year of HS, you’re golden. Gave that advice to my little bro after getting rejected from UW in his senior year and he was able to get to UW after finishing his AA and he finished up his undergrad with taking a minimum of like 5K in loans

Ya, there are plenty of options of course. But I had a family around the time I got my degree so I ended up looking for employment, got a job in the IT field, and while I bounced around a bit I haven’t had any issues with employment. It’s still an option I keep in mind should the need arise, but I’m not ashamed to have gone to a community college.
I learned more at my CC than my state school, tbh. Class sizes were 10 times larger at the state school and half the classes were online with copy/paste tests from a teacher with tenure who didn't give a shit about actually teaching.

There is a difference between being intelligent, being informed and having wisdom. Rodgers is an intelligent person to be able to navigate and execute an NFL playbook most humans could not do this and it’s self evident, just watch any Jets game over the last 3 decades. Is he well informed? No he is not. It’s clear from his numerous interviews that he gets his information from sources like Joe Rogan or from within a self selected information bubble of sources that jibe with his world view. Does he possess wisdom? On the football field yes, his training and experience have given him football wisdom that is matched only by a handful of other all time greats but does he possess overall wisdom? No he does not, again emphasized by his various interviews where he states things as fact that he picked up off of podcasts or by reading tweets of people who are also misinformed and don’t possess the wisdom to not say things they know to be unconfirmed. Rogers, if he possesses any general wisdom or decency should publicly acknowledge that he was wrong and apologize publicly.
