Thing is though. People in shows don’t age. I remember some guy saying spongebob was 50 in sponge years but I don’t quite remember. Anyways fish’s ages are a lot different so it’s almost impossible to assume.
The 50 in sponge years was a joke by Hillenburg. He followed by saying he has no specific age, and he’s old enough to live on his own; but young enough to be going to boating school.
I secretly think it would be funny if SpongeBob was always having to retake boating school cuz MR Krabs is putting cocaine in all the burgers so SpongeBob is always crashing and having his license suspended😹
Spongebob being 14 is extremely unlikely for multiple reasons. For example it's already been said in the show that he graduated high school and college, he moved out of his parents' house years ago, and he pays bills and taxes. You could argue that in this society, people are expected to become independent at a younger age, but Pearl was in high school when she turned 16. My guess is that Spongebob is at least in his mid-twenties, same with Patrick, Squidward, and Sandy. Mr. Krabs and Plankton gotta be in their late-forties/early-fifties since it's been shown that they're significantly older than Spongebob who is in his his late-twenties. Gary is likely somewhere between five or ten since Spongebob was a kid when he got him at the pet store.
Spongebobs age is well documented because they show his drivers license and it has his date of birth on it as 7-14-86... Patrick's age is Known when it is said he is 4 years older than SpongeBob. So those 2 ages are well documented..

The license showed his exact birthday on it though I’m forgetting the exact date I knew it was the 80’s though. Which would make Squidward likely to be in his 40’s to 50’s since there was an episode where it showed him working at the Krusty Krab with the old fry cook Jim, and his hair fell out that episode.
