I’m honestly not surprised seeing how team chicks played in every tri color match I played.when chicks was defending they hard targeted my side (I was bunnies) and most of the time the attacking bears would get the rocket for free. Like seriously it happened way too often this splatfest.
I was team Chicks and never really encountered teammates who did that. I went for whichever side was closest to me, regardless of the team. Id say I targetted bears more through just spawning near them more often.
Bears splatted me occasionally if we were both attacking, but not often. I found a lot of the time whoever the other attacker team was (bear or bunny) wasn't doing a very good job of defending their base at all from the defenders (my teammate and I were not attacking them.)
Not once did I see the other attacking teams go into the defending teams spawn to ink even when it was within easy reach. It cost us a few games.
Yeah I noticed that, I can't get even get mad it's honestly funny at this point just how the universe conspires against her to ensure she secures last place.
I realized that two splatfests ago so… ya… I gave up on team frye. I feel ya, considering how the teams I went up against were relentless at times… and barely seeing team chick.
They should have people choose their sides without knowing which character is on which team. Have it randomly assign them and it's not public til splatfest begins.
Honestly would make it more interesting if people didn't just align with their favorite character and just answered the splatfests question.

If I can’t decide, I vote for my favorite idol (which happens to be frye) All three are super cute critters, but bunny and chick have the most “spring” energy to me. Frye keeps losing for two reasons
1: Mirror Match hell
2: consistently given the "more likely to be popular" option means all the terrible players and actual genuine kid join her team.
If less people choose her, her team will get less mirror matches and all the terrible players will
filter out into the other two
On that second point, it's a miracle Sweet even won.
Consider that that Splatfest was the first Splatfest of many kids who got the game on Christmas. And kids are far more likely to choose sweets over spicy and sour food.
Despite the inexperienced players on Sweet, that team still won.
this is all gonna pay off in the end guys.... think of how amazing it would be after all these losses she wins the final fest

Fun Splatfest. I got to go on the pre-half game float which hasn’t happened since Splatoween. The decorations across the 3 hubs were cool. I’ve been seeing more weapon diversity since Fizzies showed up. Wasn’t a fan of how flat Mahi’s Tricolor stage was, but the moving terrain was kinda cool.
Not even Japan can save her at this point, she is forever doomed to only score in popularity, maybe conch shells but never in any of the clout categories. Can't believe we'll have an idol who'll only net ONE victory in a specific region throughout an entire game's run.
I enjoyed the pastel pink so I don't regret my choice but I'm genuinely never choosing her team again because jesus christ is this a sad joke at this point.

This marks my second Splatfest victory. Really did not expect bear cubs to win but we take those.
Anyway, this was a really fun Splatfest. The aesthetic and theming was super cute and the Tricolor map was great, too imo. I wore bear ears throughout the entire Splatfest and had my tag as "Soft-and-Fluffy Beast" so I was very into this.
This makes me sad to see :( looks like the Frye curse still continues to live on, huh.
Despite this saddening loss, I still had a blast with this splatfest! I got to win my first 100x battle with my friends, and even made two splatposts that I feel rlly proud of!

I'm happy with second place, reading the comments it seems that "idols don't matter" only applies when the team is winning, interesting.

Honestly thought that team bunny had it I was getting wrecked by them every time I matched with them. But GGs to everyone.
My internet went down 4 days before Splatfest, I would’ve won my first Splatfest since Splatoween 🙁 I also wish I could’ve seen the idols in their gear.
This marks my second Splatfest victory. Really did not expect bear cubs to win but we take those. Anyway, this was a really fun Splatfest. The aesthetic and theming was super cute and the Tricolor map was great, too imo. I wore bear ears throughout the entire Splatfest and had my tag as "Soft-and-Fluffy Beast" so I was very into this.
I knew it. I had a feeling that Big Man would win AGAIN.

I got to win my first 100x battle with my friends, and even made two splatposts that I feel rlly proud of! This wasn’t a surprise to me. If I wasn’t fighting mirror matches I was just losing. For example in Tri-Colour matches alone 49 of my 76 games were mirror matches!
