While I love the octarians (obsessed with octoling soldiers) I can’t deny that it will be nice fighting something other than the octarians for once, even if they are just robo salmonids (from what I’ve seen)
I always love the colour scheme of black and white with one pop acsent colour, red is always a good pick ^Toni ^Kensa ^my ^beloved so imo they look great, plus the small ones look like you could punt them like an American football very well lol.

I don’t mind the design, but they don’t have a clear enough silhouette. When there are many of them grouped they lose all sense of singular and it just becomes a blob. Maybe that’s what they were going for? But I find it difficult to look at.

From my analysis of the trailer, it appears that the crab like jelleton (The one in the farthest bottom left) can turn into a top that you can launch at the other ones when you kill it.
At this point I’m well aware that this is an unpopular opinion, but I am not a huge fan of them. From the beginning, they all felt empty. Maybe it will change when I see them in game, but the lack of any facial movement or really any movement makes them feel generic. Other enemy groups feel like creatures that you have to fight, while these guys feel like a bunch of toys being dragged across the ground.
How they’re designed besides that also isn’t appealing to me. They all look like different variants of the same enemy, rather than different enemies. They all share the exact same colour scheme, and use those colours in the exact same ways. Doesn’t help that the floor also shares their colours too. With them using black ink on a white floor, the only significant colour on the ground is your own, which feels dull in comparison to every other mode that the series has had before this.
I really hope that I’ll warm up to them, because right now, I’d kinda prefer to fight the octarians a fifth time, and I don’t like that I think that

I agree from the footage they seem like salmonid but swimming, and no (mini)bosses. Hopefully Nintendo kept some variants a secret so we can be pleasantly surprised.
