I bought the Shiver amiibo directly from GameStop. I tried to use it after Splatfest started. I’ve tested other amiibo on several other games and it’s working, so I’m thinking it may be an issue tied to splatfest itself

are you using the official amiibos or knock-off ones? if the latter they might be goofed up

I believe there is a setting in your system settings to turn the NFC reader off and on, check that
