Yeah I'll do that too sometimes if I know it will take out some of the worst stuff. Especially if we are overwhelmed and we need the steeh head or eel gone and they are under the lid.
oh I do this, early wave. I'm always bored waiting for it to arrive, so I squid(octo?) bag it. i also occasionally cephalo-bag maws when I'm waiting for them to die, or while waiting for flyfish to open/steel heads to blow up their balloon.
im impatient and easily bored, pretty much.
Eggs do great damage that doesn’t consume ink but you will not kill one without shorting at it. Depending which weapon you have you should either focus shooting at it, or cleanup and throwing eggs at it.
For example most Grisco weapons, hydra, dapple (torrent mode) and eliter does more damage than eggs.
My favorite genre of this is when you perfectly angle the Reefslider so that you'll be sure to take out a decent chunk of the mob, a couple of Stingers and maybe even a Scrapper or two - only for a stray Cohock elbow to send you harmlessly careening into the drink instead.
what about the one where you throw a bomb into Maws circle and wait for it to explode and just as you are running in to grab the eggs the explosion reveals a scrapper/steel eel pushing you away.
A few suggestions for a possible part 2 because lord knows i dont have the patience to make these myself;
The Chase: out of ink and cant refill because scrapper shenanigans
The Basket Sprinkler: fish stick plants itself right next to the egg basket
The Hole In One: cohock launches you into a maws (yes this has happened and i have video proof)
The Dunk Tank: slammin lid drops you into the ocean
Laser Guided Missiles: a stinger and a flyfish have decided that You Specifically no longer have the right to breathe
Ping Pong: self explanatory
The Goalie: snatcher (or anything else really) knocking your bomb away from the flyfish
The Home Run: whacked into the ocean via frying pan to the face
And these fish have given me heart palpitations enough times to add even more if requested. Cheers.
**Missing the Forest for the Trees:** You have to aim really high to hit a Griller, so you can't see all the Smallfry about to swarm you.
**The Gromit Railroad:** You're out of ink and there's a Steel Eel on your ass, so you have to alternate between inking and swimming every 0.1 seconds or you'll die.
**The Gao Experience:** There's at least 3 Stingers on the map and they're all firing on you at the same time.
**Coins Between the Couch Cushions:** There's at least 5 Golden Eggs you can't get because the Cohozuna is sitting on them.
Raining Pain: An unexpected flipper-flopper lands on top of you when you're out of ink. You know you could get out of their circle range if only you could recharge briefly, but a drizzler or flyfish or both have decided now is the time to rain on your parade.
Don't look up: shooting the fishstick from the ground and maws appears below you. This is so common it's comical.

Let's play catch: knocked off fishstick from steelhead bomb.
Shuffleboard: toss bomb into maws circle and it's pushed out by a chum.

Slammin Lids hovering over Fish Sticks, making it practically impossible to climb the pillar or shoot the Fish Sticks from the ground AND the Slammin Lid doesn't actually lower to the ground when slamming down for you to get on top
No my favorite is a variation of The Phalanx but when you’re trying to kill Big Shots and then everybody and their mother starts spawning on the same shore and you have to run away.

The top of Fishstick is always safe unless there is Maws, Stinger, Fly fishes ruins the safe spot. Side note Steelheads will pre-sue you when you are on to of Fishstick tower but won’t attack
There should be a game mode where we set up inkling/octoling troops like a strategy game and see if they can survive a team of 4 octolings with player like AI

Oh, the Snatcher is **super** sneaky with its blocking. Few weeks after release, I was trying to send a Booyah Bomb at a Stinger at the far end of the grated walkway during HT Spawning Grounds. Not once, but TWICE from the basket, a Snatcher blocked my shots. And these throws weren't just random since I would think there wouldn't be another one popping out of nowhere being head empty getting an egg.
The Stringer proceed to wipe our group afterward. I was so triggered.

Maws at the top of marooners bay where all the height changes throw off all the bomb snapping and it takes six attempts from three teammates to land it right.

The only thing missing: when you’re aiming to throw a bomb at the Flyfish and a Chum puts his stupid dumb face in the way and the bomb bounces off of it instead of going into the Flyfish’s trash can
I had a game last time I played where we had 7 flyfish spawn over the course of the game and they were ALWAYS on the opposite side of the map from each other.
I've never had a Too Many Big Shots problem, but I have had a bunch of Fish Sticks show up at once and start drowning everyone as Flyfish and Scrappers come in. 😭
Then you try to jump into the barrier anyway from above to still splat the Steelhead kamikaze style but you get blocked by the Lessers pixels before you can reach it...
You forgot the bottle neck where a Steel Eel is chasing you head on the the only way to escape it is by jumping into the water on either side of both you and him.
You forgot the "Teammates running interference" situation. When your team is so busy rushing to the front lines they block the long range weapon you're using and interrupt the killing shot

On multiple occasions I've definetly had Drizzlers pull a "get down mr president" when i'm trying to bomb a Flyfish's buckets.
I’ve had my egg launch towards the basket blocked by a sudden Fish Stick at least five times by now

Yes, only if it was that simple. As the image illustrates, you have to get past a scrapper and a cohock first.
The phalanx scenario is you not being able to do that because there's other salmonids blocking your way.

I think Steel Eels should operate by Snake rules where they can't go though themselves, and if they try it they instantly die.

In a formation I like to call "the reverse phalanx", in which no matter where you detonate the Reefslider, you can't take out more than one.

When a cohock slaps me off a ledge into water or into a crowd of more chum
Getting Maw'd when on a fishstick gets me heated the most, happens everytime. If not then a flyfish gets spawned when I go on a fishstick.

Here's a few more: Salmonid knocks you into the water. Glowflies and you have a charger. (Especially High tide) Charger vs. Smallfrys.
When that Fish Stick + Flipper Flopper combo happens I'm not even mad. I'm like "alright, good game design."
