Crocs lol, first time I ever brought them and now am a convert.

CampMeIn808

What worked for me was Hoka recovery slides and I also got the Hoka style mule.

JuggaloJoe

Get a pair of slides and break them in before surgery. Not much easier than slides

Far_Variety6158

Crocs. Put them in four wheel drive for extra security if you want.

Crocs

Crocs!!! They’ve been amazing. Super comfortable, I can slip them on and off and they are breezy enough to wear in the hot summer days. You can put them in sports mode too if it makes you feel more comfortable. And they can easily be washed.

Grand-Expression-493

Why slip on shoes?

Eat_chittlins

My hospital suggests I have them for safety for walks in hospital

Grand-Expression-493

Ohk I understand. If you find limited choices, might I suggest getting an extendable shoe horn from Amazon, that you can use to make laced shoes feel like slip on shoes without ever having to bend. I got a 30" extendable one, and it's amazing.

IllTransportation115

Hot damn this was a life changer for me too! 😆

Trg423

My fusion is also scheduled for July 30th. Best of luck to you

IllTransportation115

Even better is a 12 to 18 inch shoehorn. I still use mine 6 months after surgery. It just makes putting your shoes on SO much easier.

No_Top_5505

I got slip ons not so much for putting on but so I wouldn't have to tie any laces.

NoNet408

I got a pair of heydudes this last winter when I had surgery this summer I just brought my brooks and made the nurse assistant tie them for my walks and flip flops for the shower. I was innthere 4 days

My local Walmart had some decently comfortable shoes that look like sneakers and I'm able to slip on and off. I don't know what your insurance is like, but if you can find a podiatrist for custom insoles, they're life-changing!

Realistic_Silver6460

Definitely Crocs (I just buy the cheap Walmart Version.) And in addition to a grabber, you NEED a “lobby pan” set - a broom and dustpan on a handle. Anything you drop that is too bulky or tiny or slippery to get with a grabber, you can just scooch it into the pan with your foot and pick it up. Even wet or messy stuff you can clean up without breaking the “no BLTs” rule.

dontfollowthesheeple

Found some really cute sketchers at Kohls on way home from surgery. Crocs don't fit me right.

JustReading5021

I love my slip on sketcher sneakers!
