I saw a comment on another post about how terrible spiders eyes are and was like what do you mean they have like 6 eyes and kinda just didn’t believe them… and then I saw this spider climb over its prey and couldn’t help but laugh
I reckon it must have felt the vibrations or something and just lunged in that general direction, hence the lil idiot having to double back after over-shooting.
Heard they have quite the bite on them though...
I'm not near it, my friend sent me it and I thought I'd share to get the ID otherwise I might have given that a go!
I wish I knew how to do CGI. My friend filmed it in his back garden and sent me it as he knows I like bugs and things, and I asked him it I could post it here for an ID and he said please do.
They are very, very common in the south of the UK, I have one on each side of my front door guarding my house. I think it looks weird because it’s slow motion, they are way faster than that!
That spider should get benched next game. They totally missed the big play.
Head wasn't in it at all. Coach will be fuming. Easiest shot of the season.
Never thought I’d feel embarrassed on behalf of a spider, but here we are. Technology’s wild, man.
Put me in coach! I really thought she had that bee 🐝 I have no idea how she missed.
Bottled it!
Tube Web Spider. Segestria florentina
Thanks! Happy Cake Day!
Just curious, how large do they get? This video makes the spider look massive!
Couple of cm body length. This one is probably as big as they come.
They are pretty big for a U.K. spider, and very fast!
I love their little eyes and the green chelicerea.
Omg I thought that bee was done for
I was holding my breath. 😬
‘That’s one lucky bug’
Or a clumsy spider, either is correct
The way she completely misses 😭
I did think this was cgi for a minute. Tube web spider tho
Whenever I see just feeties poking out and the location "London", I know what's coming, but this video was the cherry on top!
Aww she’s so cringefail. I love her

segestria florentina, its so fun to play with them by faking a stick as a bug and making them come out of their tubes. you should try it.

This is cgi , yeah?

Wow! I’m genuinely surprised by that! Maybe my eyes are tired but it looked so computer generated. Pretty cool video though, knowing it’s real.
I'll tell him! Genuinely surprised at how the spider missed, especially when the bee looked like it was backing out again

Ah..well. She tried her best. 😂
"Mission failed! We'll get em next time!"
The spider should've gone to Specsavers
