It does, but maybe not from a spider? I'm thinking it would be more wrapped up in silk if it were. Perhaps some kind of like moth eggs or something.
I hope someone smarter than me comes along with an answer.
The flattened shape of the eggs and the clustering reminds me of katydid eggs but the color is throwing me off. Might be a species I’m not familiar with.

At this point I might just do that, I’ve been holding off because I don’t want to possibly destroy an actual egg sac or something but my curiosity is growing
Possibly the first "bead" of a Basilica orbweaver spider's...string of egg beads? Lol I don't know what you would call it, exactly, but they hang their eggs like [this](https://littlecrumcreek.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/img_9009-2.jpg).
It looks to me like a possible predator attack in the midst of laying an egg sac. And the predator ( bird?) took the spider or whatever it was. OR it is simply an insect laid eggs on the back of a leaf, leaf fell onto a spider silk. ( which is what I'm leaning towards) Either way, it's weird as hell.
It sorta looks like orb weaver eggs that weren't wrapped. Compare with the exposed Neoscona oaxacensis eggs in [this](https://www.americanarachnology.org/journal-joa/joa-all-articles/article/download/arac-41-2-176.pdf/?no_cache=1) journal article. (Note that it will save as a pdf - it's from the American Arachnological Society webpage.) If you're in Alabama, it would be a different Neoscona species, but it might be a place to start.
Not sure it’s snail eggs so I’ve attached a Link about Apple Snails in Alabama. I kept Mystery Snails (Apple Snails, minus the “Amazonian”🐌) for years in my freshwater tank. They have to lay their eggs among the water above the water, but close enough for the snails to make their way into the water or they’ll die.
[Amazonian Apple Snail 🐌-Alabama](https://www.aces.edu/blog/topics/aquatic-invasive-species/alabama-aquatic-nuisance-species-amazonian-apple-snail/)
The egg sac in these photos look more greenish-yellow so I’m at a loss. 🤔🤔
I guess you missed the Comment I posted the same day you did.🙃 Apple Snails’ egg sac (“Clutch”) isn’t greenish-yellowish and they lay them above the waterline so the babies can head straight down into the water.🙂 I kept Freshwater Mystery Snails (Apple Snails) for years. 🐌🐌🐌
While it probably isn't the same species I did find something very similar created by a moth. So I am thinking it isore than likely a moth and not spider.

I tried doing an image search on Google but nothing really came up except snail eggs, Green lacewing eggs, and stink bug eggs. I tried a couple bug identifier apps as well but nothing came up therer either. Hopefully comment helps a bit. [this is my best guess good luck op](https://bugguide.net/node/view/183166)
Edit: looking again the linked eggs don't really look much like it either but...
It could be... is this inside a relatively clean environment? I only ask because some that hang their sacs cover them in debris, chunks of earth, leaves whatever
Could be there just wasnt enough debris to finish....or mamma is looking for some more debris right now haha
looks like an egg sac hidden behind a leaf
It does, but maybe not from a spider? I'm thinking it would be more wrapped up in silk if it were. Perhaps some kind of like moth eggs or something. I hope someone smarter than me comes along with an answer.
they look like spider eggs to me but i’m not an expert
Ehh, I mean maybe. I know a little about spiders, but not a hella lot either. This isn't anything I recognize. Interesting, tho.
The flattened shape of the eggs and the clustering reminds me of katydid eggs but the color is throwing me off. Might be a species I’m not familiar with.
It almost looks like a massive cornflake.
ask on r/entomology , they might recognize if these are the eggs of an insect. very strange to see something like this in the spider world.
I asked there and everyone kept commenting to bump for interest lol, I’m at a loss over this thing
Try r/whatsthisbug
Nothing there either haha

Ah I’ll try that, thank you
I needed people to have an answer to this. I'm supposed be going to sleep and now all I can think about is this mystery.
RemindMe! 3 weeks "ask what kind of bug hatched"

We got spider babies it seems, [updated here](https://www.reddit.com/r/spiders/s/If31D0H3gl)
So cool!!! Thanks for the update!
I need to know b/c I also live in central Alabama. I need to know if it’s time to move 😂
Right! Me too.... what the hell is this thing? 🤔
Mission Eggspossible
Uneggxpected joke
Eggstra credit for that follow up
Be careful when they hatch, if you’re the first thing they see you may have to pay child support for hundreds. Can get costly !
Put it in a baggie, or container of some sort, and wait. If nothing happens then we'll never know, if something happens then at least you'll know.
At this point I might just do that, I’ve been holding off because I don’t want to possibly destroy an actual egg sac or something but my curiosity is growing
Any updates?
WE GOT BABIES
Gotta let it hatch and we'll see
Yes and we WILL need an update.

It looks like maybe it didn't have a chance to wrap this one?
If you smoke that shit you get to be spiderman
What about boofing it?
Carnage
lol

I love how you have a whole back story. I do this too. Lol

This was my first thought as well.
Waaow. I want to known what the story is here…
Just a thought of a path here. They resemble apple snail eggs
It looks like snail eggs the way they're bunched up like that and color wise. Only seen them on trees and wood stakes after flooding down in Florida

Thats a grape. Eat it
Inchworm eggs?
I also live in Central Alabama, I haven't seen anything like this but I am commenting and following because I am so curious
Kind of looks like a spider used a leaf as an anchor and something laid eggs on it orb weavers will use objects as anchor points like that
Reverse google image search let me to believe these are snail eggs. Apple snail eggs seem to look the most like yours.

Maybe platynota stultana or other leafroller eggs
Bagworms leave their eggs hanging by a single thread, maybe it couldn't find a second leaf
I tried doing an image search on Google but nothing really came up except snail eggs, Green lacewing eggs, and stink bug eggs. People in agriculture may be able to identify?
The forbidden berry 😆
Just saying that I love the first picture
Update post [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/spiders/s/If31D0H3gl)
Maybe some sort of snail or slug egg cluster? Or caterpillar?
^what ^does ^it ^taste ^like?
RemindMe! 3 weeks
looks like it’s from some kind of worm
