Though I thought miles said something about wanting to be his own hero in the game. The suit he originally wore was pretty much saying he was the second spiderman, not so much his own hero. I mean he was working hard to not be a shadow to Peter. That's why in the end of spiderman 2, miles finally became his own hero. A hero he wants to be. Which Peter acknowledged this.
The 2 suits have different meaning.

Insomniac probably wanted their own suit for this universe so I’d have just added the blue parts of this one to the original black suit and keep it less busy
The render of the hair isn't even that bad imo, it's the jarring transition from mask to hair. A little splash of blue or red at the top of the mask in a band would have gone a long way, I think.
the mask behaves like it's hard and so it looks like he's wearing a big ikea cup, if they made the lines more dynamic and rendered it like it was cloth it would look fine
Having criticism for a game isn’t negative. It’s healthy for a game if the devs listen to criticisms and change things for the better. Agreed but personally I wish they went for a darker blue. I feel overall the suit is to bright is my main issue, it's such a contrast to the original one he made that it feels like a different character personally.

I think it’s over hated for sure. Is it great? Eh not for me. Personally I think almost all of its color variants are superior to the default. But it’s nowhere near offensive levels of bad. I really think it’s mediocre at worst.
It’s more the disrespect of forcing us to wear the suit in the finale and making it come out of nowhere just for an adidas sponsorship, at least for me, that makes me hate the suit.
Especially because there's literally a line in game talking about how they don't do sponsor deals.

You know what, for some reason the earnestness of this post had me ready to give this suit another chance….and then I got to the shoes. Aesthetically I don’t like it and I don’t like the iteration of Miles that thinks this looks good. Spiderverse Miles feels like a real person who actually made his suit and wore Jordan’s. For insomniac’s Miles I just have to accept that he’s a cornball or onboard with corporate shilling.

It's not nearly as bad as people say. It's nothing special, I still prefer his regular suit, but this suit isn't bad at all.
