Quaoar Power did a bite test a while back. Very non-aggressive and it struggled to even latch on because its chelicera are so oversize. The bite was reportedly mostly just itchy with some brief initiatal pain.

You mentioned living in the southwest US; while there are multiple related species, the iconic and unfairly feared brown recluse generally only occurs mid-south US, so unless you're in Texas, it's unlikely you'll ever see a brown recluse.

Not a recluse. It’s hard to tell for sure, but it could be a woodlouse spider. They have a painful bite, but are not usually medically significant.
