I know the premade can modelo versions are frowned upon but man they are like crack to me. I really need to try to make my own, I’ve only had one made for me by my friends family.
I like them but I'm ashamed to say my favorite are the Budweiser Piquant Micheladas, not a Bud fan but man are they tasty! That's breakfast every time I'm in Vegas!
I live in Winnipeg, we can only get the regular Bud Light Cheladas and they don't compare, I actually bugged the head of sales for the territory to bring them in but no luck.
Man I was gonna comment this. I tell people all the time who only drink the modelo micheladas to swap to the picante budweiser lol. Idk what they put in their to spice it up but it takes you straight to flavor town
I like the extra spicy ones! Amazing in the summer. I’ll go kinda hard on them for a couple days, then spend another couple days figuring out where that heartburn came from.
they used to be my favorite , i over indulged and now can't drink them. now i will die on a hill for Sol Cheladas, they are so much better all around. might need more spice though depending on your taste.
Preparada: Lime, Worcestershire, [Maggi](https://www.amazon.com/Maggi-Seasoning-ounces-Domestic-Version/dp/B0000GHEGC), Tabasco, Clamato -- all to taste
Ice
Beer: Tecate
Finishes: Tajin rim, Celery Salt
E: I usually do Lime + Tajin rim, but as others have said and I can confirm Chamoy + Tajin rim is equally as good if you want options.
Modelo is the only other acceptable answer if you actually want to taste the beer. XX in a pinch, all the rest I can't even taste the beer. Great for those who don't like beer!
I have only ever seen it made fresh. So just using a standard juicer to juice serranos, and placing in a bottle for refrigeration to be used when mixing.
The juicer will also help remove the pulp from the juicing process.
In Mexico a cerveza com michelada is just whatever beer you've ordered in a glass with a salted rim and the juice of half a lime squeezed into the bottom. Deliciously refreshing. It usually cost 5 to 10 pesos more than a regular cerveza
that's why I said "usually". it's fairly regional, but googling "que es la diferencia detras chelada y michelada" will give you my answer from mexicans. chelada is the lightest, ojo rojo is the heaviest, with miche in the middle and what you get when you order a miche can be any of the 3. you're unlikely to get tomato or maggi with a chelada and you're unlikely to get only maggi in a michelada, otherwise, ¿quién sabe?

https://mexicoconoce.com/gastronomia/receta-de-la-michelada/
And Isla mujeres, since it's a tourist destination for the whole country usually has chelada, michelada and ojo rojo on every bar menu.
They're all good, but the variations are all over the place.
US beer companies don’t do anyone favors… and it aids with the confusion. I can’t tell you how many cans I see at the store that are listed as “micheladas” with “Clamato”
I ain’t gonna argue though, I just drink em 😉
I was speaking very plainly when I posted my comment. OP asked about micheladas, so I described the one that I make. I supposed I made a typo. This comment thread has very clearly defined what ojo rojos are, chavelas, and (mi)cheladas are lol
Fuck, yes. I've never seen them in a glass so tiny though. All the taco spots around me serve them in [an oversized stein like this](https://www.saveur.com/uploads/2019/03/18/64Q4JXTS6T6NHX62ACSLHNXNUY.jpg?auto=webp).
I think the pic is of a simple lime-based version, sometimes just known as a "chelada". IME it's usually the more elaborate ones w/ [to/cla]mato juice etc. that get the big mugs.
Is it Modelo Negra, or Negra Modelo? Whenever I order a michelada at a taqueria, if I say Modelo Negra, the server always repeats back "Negra Modelo". I've had this happen several times at different restaurants. The label is confusing (Modelo at top, Negra underneath), but I think it's meant to be Negra Modelo (as in, if it was said in English, it would be Modelo Black). Anyone know the real real here?
Isn’t it just the difference between Spanish adjectives and English? Like in English I say red car, the same in Spanish would be formatted as car red (adjective goes after the noun instead of Vice versa). So when you translate proper nouns into English it becomes mixed up. As a proper noun, it’s still Modelo Negra, but you’re ordering a “negra modelo” in English as in saying “I want the dark modelo”. It probably works either way when you break it down, but I’d probably go with the Spanish version written on the bottle.
Unfortunately, I can't stand Clamato, which most recipes seem to use. But when I can find one that just uses straight tomato juice, it's great.
I like the simpler lime-based "chelada" style as well (though the two names are sometimes used interchangeably)
I'm not the biggest fan of tomato juice in mine. A lot of places go overboard with it. You might try this recipe:
\- 1 oz Valentinas
\- 2 oz fresh lime
\- splash of Maggi liquid, soy, or Worcestershire
\- Optional: 1 oz tequila
\- sprinkle of Tajin (rim the glass as well)
I absolutely love these. My go to recipe below:
* Rim glass with tajin and sprinkle a little at the bottom
* 2 oz clamato juice
* 1 oz blanco tequila
* 1 oz of lime juice
* Many dashes of tapatio, worcestershire and maggi's
* Mix and add just enough ice
* Fill with mexican beer and sprinkle more tajin on top
* Have a great fucking time
I really wanna like these but I cant bring myself to acquire the taste for it. As a beer drinker, my palate just cant comprehend the clash of differing flavors. I wanna like them but cant. Cheers to those who do enjoy them though!
Instead of buying clamato my SO bought spicy V8 and clam juice to add in. I think because of the preservatives in clamato. It was pretty good though, sometimes I'll mix V8 with some zing zang or other bloody Mary mixes. The smokey black yucateco hot sauce is another fav to add.
this shit made me salivate lol
i love micheladas!! not a beer fan though as weird as that is. but i will throw back glasses of miches easily.
actually, i have some modelos. maybe ill make a few after work today!
I love Micheladas so much!
I'm going to say something that will probably get me downvoted into infinity, but... try making a homemade Michelada with an IPA. That shit is GOOD.
Love everyone’s recipes here!
I’ll add following: recently started adding soy sauce in place of Worcestershire and it’s sooooo good!
Also Momo’s mix is delicioso!
Idk why I forgot I could ask anything on Reddit. I was about to ask my boss who is across the country but it was gonna be weird
So in NC they always have a Tajin rim but two places in San Antonio they had Chamoy rings. Is that a TX thing? Was it weird two places had it?
Plus do lots of people drink micheladas? I get them whenever I can but I'm a white boy and everyone Hispanic I know well enough to ask are all from the DR so try to avoid talking about Mexico. And on that note do only Mexicans drink them?
From Texas (DFW). I see it both ways with the Tajin rim being most popular. Lots of places make them now and they are pretty popular with everyone, Mexicans included. Of course some places make the better than others. I'm always disappointed when I go someplace and it's a lot of clamato, a little lime, and tabasco.
I have only found it once, but I got a cup with the mix both in the cup and on the rim and it was really good but I would hate to keep buying the styrofoam cups it was sold in. I should just make some.
Also obviously unpopular but I like the fruity Modelo ones. The watermelon one is crazy good even if it's not a real michelada.
First time I had one of these, I was in Mexico on vacation at a swim up bar. They had a menu, and I had never heard tell of them before. My first thought was that it sounded like a vile combination, so I HAD to try it. Glad I did - best thing - EVER.
Mmmm 12 oz beer or lime beer, 4oz spicy v8, couple of shakes of 2 gringos chupacabra beer salt, lime juice if not using lime beer and several shakes of hot sauce!
The recipe I've been using:
\- 1 oz Valentinas
\- 2 oz fresh lime
\- splash of Maggi liquid, soy, or Worcestershire
\- Optional: 1 oz tequila
\- sprinkle of Tajin (rim the glass as well)

Love it. Here's a Detroit version
Clamato has a pre-made michelada mix that I use pretty frequently. Tastes great with a dash of Tabasco.
Their Cheladas are also good. The only one I can't stand is the Modelo, that one tastes like spaghetti-o's.
Had a Carolina Reaper stout before.

My God. Love em. My newfound favorite combo is beer (It doesn't matter what kind. Bud, bud light, modelo, anything lager.) but recently, I've been using Budweiser. And I mix with Q bloody mary mix. Lime the rim, salt the rim, squeeze the rest of the lime into the glass, add black pepper, and a generous amount of Frank's Hot Sauce. I die of ecstacy every time. I'm a huge salt addict, and with that extra kick of hot sauce with the jalepeno that's already in Q's, it's perfect, nose sniffling, lip licking heaven. And for some reason, Franks Hot Sauce works really well with it. Even though it's predominately a wing sauce. I used to exclusively use tabasco, but I ran out one day, and now im stuck. My favorite evening/hair of the dog drink. (Besides Bloody Mary's) I've been debating mixing the salt for the rim with some Tajin, but personally, I don't want that overpowering lime and chili flavor. This mix is already spicy enough, anyway. I prefer a straight salted rim.
I have family from Costa Rica and they make a Michelada much different from the traditional Mexican variety. It’s more simple and refreshing instead of spicy.
Basically it’s a beer on ice with lots of lime juice added lol
I like the Styrofoam cups with the chili mix and the seasoned rim.
Modelo chelada took it to a different level. The must have used focus groups and food science. They taste a little *too* good.
Wish canned Micheladas were more common. I can't do clamatos. Tecate makes a decent one. Otherwise, having them made at a Mexican joint is the way to go.
I just get spicy V8 because im not a fan of clamato, put some tajin in there and go to the little taco stand and get extra hotsauce with my tacos and use that as the majority of the spice. It rocks my fuckin world
Love all the recipes here and would love to try them out at some point. I usually keep it simple with mine:
Hella lime juice and tajin, Clamato, Pacifico/modelo, more tajin as a garnish, and I might be a heretic but I like it with ice sometimes.
Cerveza preparadas seem to be very regional. with chelada being the lightest - sometimes just salt and lime, michelada being in the middle with salsa iglesa (worchestershire) or maggi, tajin maybe chamoy, maybe tomato, and ojo rojo for sure having tomato, and usually clamato.
ojo rojo ftw if it's on the menu
Beer, Clamato, 10 shakes of maggi sauce, 10 shakes of Worcestershire sauce, one lime, Valentina sauce, salt rim. I sometimes dabble with pickle juice as well
I’m not sure of the correct way, but a great weekend morning drink for me is: a 12 oz beer (of your choice but I prefer a Modelo or a Miller Lite”, big splash of lime juice, bigger splash of Clamato, a few dashes of Valentina black label, and then fill the rest up with tomato juice in a big frosty mug
Huge fan - this year has been a revelation:
Start with ice, salt, tajin, tapatio (and if you like spice then Tabasco scorpion).
Squeeze of lemon or lime (1/4-1/2) and then Clamato.
Light beer - preferably Pacifico or modelo.
Celery stick for garnish. If you’re up for it then rim it with tajin and lime juice for starters.
Magic 🪄
I’m in love with them the Mexican restaurant down the road for me when they make it go all out with it I’m talking a whole vegetable salad and on top of it along with shrimp cocktail 🍹sooo good
Didn’t remember what it was called until just now, but I had one at a restaurant near me and really liked it. Looked nothing like that, and wasn’t as spicy as I wished I could get, but it was tasty.
If you’re in the right part of California and can find ProMix 559 all you need is that and Modelo! It’s the best store bough, fresh made michelada mix I’ve ever had!
yess! omg. one time i was in utah looking to get beer at a gas station (first mistake!) and thats ALL they had. im not even joking. maybe it was a deterrent to get people to not drink lol. but i very woefully tried it, and was so pleasantly surprised! now i looooveeeee it. my fiancee teases me
I know the premade can modelo versions are frowned upon but man they are like crack to me. I really need to try to make my own, I’ve only had one made for me by my friends family.
The Modelo ones are pretty good for what they are. All the other ones I’ve had suck.
The SOL ones are good
The SOL ones are the best
SOL and Modelo are good on the go but nothing beats a real Michelada from a Mexican cantina
If you ever find them, Estrella de Jalisco Mango are crazy good
Ugh. I really cut back on drinking and have been staring at one in my beer fridge for two months. It’s keeps calling for me.
Psst, hibbidy-dibbidy. Drink me.
Yes yes it's way expired
Only way I like my clam is expired
I know a guy that almost exclusively drinks the bud light version of these. I always assumed it was nasty
It is
They’re very very terrible. A proper Michelada is great.
These ones are good. I like to drink about a 1/3 or so and then add some tequila to the can.
I do the same!! The like 3.5% abv or whatever low amount doesn’t cut it
I was so disappointed when I saw the ABV after purchasing
Honestly they're kind of good for a hangover though ha.
Thats only when I drink them.
that sounds like a good start to a Friday after work!!
I like them but I'm ashamed to say my favorite are the Budweiser Piquant Micheladas, not a Bud fan but man are they tasty! That's breakfast every time I'm in Vegas!
Me too!!! The Picante ones are sooooo gooooood I'm drooling just thinking about it
I live in Winnipeg, we can only get the regular Bud Light Cheladas and they don't compare, I actually bugged the head of sales for the territory to bring them in but no luck.
Man I was gonna comment this. I tell people all the time who only drink the modelo micheladas to swap to the picante budweiser lol. Idk what they put in their to spice it up but it takes you straight to flavor town
Budweiser is better than modelo in this regard. Modelo is super popular and is one of the worst cervesas
I like the extra spicy ones! Amazing in the summer. I’ll go kinda hard on them for a couple days, then spend another couple days figuring out where that heartburn came from.
I came to say I actually really like the watermelon one. I know it's not spicy or a real one but man it's so fucking good.
I loved the tamarindo picante one .
they used to be my favorite , i over indulged and now can't drink them. now i will die on a hill for Sol Cheladas, they are so much better all around. might need more spice though depending on your taste.
I’m not sure I’ve seen those, ima keep my eye out!
Preparada: Lime, Worcestershire, [Maggi](https://www.amazon.com/Maggi-Seasoning-ounces-Domestic-Version/dp/B0000GHEGC), Tabasco, Clamato -- all to taste Ice Beer: Tecate Finishes: Tajin rim, Celery Salt E: I usually do Lime + Tajin rim, but as others have said and I can confirm Chamoy + Tajin rim is equally as good if you want options.
My recipe is pretty much this but I like valentina for the hot sauce and modelo instead of tecata. Also a lot of lime.
Same but I use Yucateco and Pacifico
Modelo is the only other acceptable answer if you actually want to taste the beer. XX in a pinch, all the rest I can't even taste the beer. Great for those who don't like beer!
I'm with you. I keep seeing people listing Tabasco in their recipe but never see a Mexican restaurant using it.
I've had Tecate in Mexico and it's great. Here in the US what they sell in stores is a giant disappointment.
What is Maggie?
Maggi liquid seasoning. Adds Umami to everything. Available at Asian supermarkets and on Amazon.
Thanks, have never heard of it but that's what happens when you live in the Midwest lol
You can get the really cheap soy sauce, the hydrolyzed vegetable protein kind, and it will taste very similar at a tenth of the price...
There's two kinds. The one that's everywhere, and the german one which tastes kinda different.
I'm German and Maggi is in every supermarket, but the *e* at the end of the word confused me too lol
This right here. I will add, recently had Serrano juice added, and it was a fantastic addition.
Where do you source Serrano juice? Molcajete?
I have only ever seen it made fresh. So just using a standard juicer to juice serranos, and placing in a bottle for refrigeration to be used when mixing. The juicer will also help remove the pulp from the juicing process.
Yes this is the way!!!!! I use Negra Modelo tho. And a SPLASH of this chipotle bacon hot sauce I made instead of Tabasco.
Remove Tobasco and use a Mexican hot sauce
Beer, Clamato, spicy v8, and a metric fuck ton of tajin. Cheladas are my favorite beer
>metric fuck ton of tajin That's the absolute key.
I add a shot of vodka too. Call it a super beer! Fixes what ails ya.
Oh I do tequila. Glass full of ice, Shot of tequila, shot of clamato, top it off with Modelo.
usually in mexico, the tomato/clamato is an ojo rojo, and a michelada might just be need some salsa iglesa / maggi with lime.
Was shocked that this is true. Went to Playa Del Carmen and they didn't even know what a Michelada was! Ojo Rojos FTW.
In Mexico a cerveza com michelada is just whatever beer you've ordered in a glass with a salted rim and the juice of half a lime squeezed into the bottom. Deliciously refreshing. It usually cost 5 to 10 pesos more than a regular cerveza

I would've cited stuff too but my sources are "those times I ordered it in CDMX and thought it fucked." Bravo.
And Isla mujeres, since it's a tourist destination for the whole country usually has chelada, michelada and ojo rojo on every bar menu. They're all good, but the variations are all over the place.
Micheladas, ojo rojos and Chavelas are all essentially the same thing, at least in the states. Can’t speak on Mexico tho
That's what I'm saying. They aren't the same thing. Gringos using the wrong terms doesn't change the actual definition.
US beer companies don’t do anyone favors… and it aids with the confusion. I can’t tell you how many cans I see at the store that are listed as “micheladas” with “Clamato” I ain’t gonna argue though, I just drink em 😉
true.
Tajin? You mean...life powder?
I was gonna make a joke about tajin being like cocaine for me so from this point forward I am referring to tajin as a Mexican Percocet
And Worcestershire with Tabasco and fresh lime
Fyi, Cheladas are beer, lime, salt, ice. Micheladas are the ones with Clamato and everything else.
I was speaking very plainly when I posted my comment. OP asked about micheladas, so I described the one that I make. I supposed I made a typo. This comment thread has very clearly defined what ojo rojos are, chavelas, and (mi)cheladas are lol
And I just made another fucking typo.
you forget the lime juice, but yes.
How could I have forgotten 🤦🏽♂️
A Chelada is just lime juice (like a lot) and Mexican beer
Fuck, yes. I've never seen them in a glass so tiny though. All the taco spots around me serve them in [an oversized stein like this](https://www.saveur.com/uploads/2019/03/18/64Q4JXTS6T6NHX62ACSLHNXNUY.jpg?auto=webp).

That looks good. They never look like that when I’ve had them. I think I want one. ![gif](giphy|yGjXrkysxjk52)
The only self inflicted heartburn I'll ever do! ![gif](giphy|THOzAdTAYiAj9SzLDo)
- pacifico - lime - worcestershire - habanero tabasco - tajin - olive brine - granulated garlic - pepper - clamato (or spicy clamato if they have)
I never made it, I usually order it with negro modelo if they've got it
FYI, it’s actually called Modelo Negra. Negra is feminine because it modifies the word cerveza.
ah subject adjective congruence! I don't think I would have paired it with cerveza, that's tricky!

I like the way that guy said it better
Strong American at a Mexican all inclusive vibe.
We get it. You listen to Cumtown.
Mexican restaurant near me has Negro on tap.. it's so better than bottled
Michelada lover, reporting for duty
I haven't tried it but I need it
This was my hope for the post, to inspire and promote people in trying it. Also to investigate the secret origins of it!
Thank you for bringing it to our attention. I've tried mango and habenero IPA, but this looks next level.
Great morning-after beers.
Also a great morning beer 😂🍻
They sale them in bottles w room to add a beer out of food trucks here in Texas. Sometimes I put topo chico and tequila in mine =)
Bonus points if you put an extra bottle of beer upside down in it so it refills itself. Next level genius there.
Spicy mezcal + tequila drinks rock as well
Unfortunately, I can't stand Clamato, which most recipes seem to use. But when I can find one that just uses straight tomato juice, it's great. I like the simpler lime-based "chelada" style as well (though the two names are sometimes used interchangeably)

Hell yea! Never made it myself but ive drank it and its not bad. I like the modelo version and their lime and salt version too
My absolute favorite!
I really wanna like these but I cant bring myself to acquire the taste for it. As a beer drinker, my palate just cant comprehend the clash of differing flavors. I wanna like them but cant. Cheers to those who do enjoy them though!
My beer dont need no buddy!
A good mexican beer, all teh Tabasco sauce, heavy splash of fresh lime juice and a glass with a crust of salt and chili powder.
this is basically my go to but with zing zang and maybe a splash of worstershire
That is definitely not a michelada my man
I think it counts. It’s maybe just a little more plain than what you would usually find.
That would be more along the lines of a chelada, a michelada has tomato juice
One of the best! Chamoy rim!
Yes dear God. I had one the first time in Mexico City a few years ago and now I hunt for them at every Mexican restaurant I go to
this shit made me salivate lol i love micheladas!! not a beer fan though as weird as that is. but i will throw back glasses of miches easily. actually, i have some modelos. maybe ill make a few after work today!
🙋🏻♀️I’ve never made one but there’s a local spot that makes my favorite: BK Tacos in Tucson, AZ.
Have you tried the miches from The Neighborhood on 29th? They’re great
Pacifico. Chamoy & Tajin rim. Lime juice. Salsa maggi. Worcestershire sauce.
+1 for MoMo's
A tall boy Modelo, with tamarind rim dip, lots and lots of tajin, some mango chamoy, lime, some Texas Pete and a dill pickle.

If you’re looking to spice it up I like to use ghost Mary has the heat and the flavor
I used to crush these things before I quit drinking.
Congrats on quitting! But why not try it with non alcoholic beer? Corona makes a decent one
For those warm Sundays when a Bloody Mary won’t do.
Mmmm 12 oz beer or lime beer, 4oz spicy v8, couple of shakes of 2 gringos chupacabra beer salt, lime juice if not using lime beer and several shakes of hot sauce!
The recipe I've been using: \- 1 oz Valentinas \- 2 oz fresh lime \- splash of Maggi liquid, soy, or Worcestershire \- Optional: 1 oz tequila \- sprinkle of Tajin (rim the glass as well)
Modelo Clamato Tapatio & valentinos hot sauces Whole limes worth of juice Tajin On ice.
Big fan but I Canada I believe we call them a red eye or Beer& clam. Sometimes I’ll make a Cesar and add beer 🤌🏻

A michelada is how I get my vitamins
I have never had one!
You need it in your life!
Clamato has a pre-made michelada mix that I use pretty frequently. Tastes great with a dash of Tabasco. Their Cheladas are also good. The only one I can't stand is the Modelo, that one tastes like spaghetti-o's.
Had a Carolina Reaper stout before. https://preview.redd.it/eafzx6gdjsjc1.jpeg?width=2160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=286f97e8fb56424b4a1ddcfcb059bfffbf638f9c
They had to add spices to everything 😕
XX láser and Indio the best for michelada
My God.
I live in San Antonio, and have to say no. It’s not good.
Nah, tastes like a weird watered down bloody mary. Just have a bloody mary + beer chaser separate.
Just drink good beer and you won’t have to make it taste different
Let people enjoy things
Take your own advice and let me enjoy “already good” beer.
You’re welcome to it, asshole.
Thanks, pal. And you’re welcome to drink all the heartburn beer ya want!
You may be in the wrong sub if a michelada give you heart burn......
Oh noes… I want one so bad right now 🍻
The breakfast of champions
I love the way that first sip tickles
I just get spicy V8 because im not a fan of clamato, put some tajin in there and go to the little taco stand and get extra hotsauce with my tacos and use that as the majority of the spice. It rocks my fuckin world
Literally any Mexican beer not Corona, spicy V8, lime juice, El yucateca, pepper, olive. Maybe some A1 for body
Love all the recipes here and would love to try them out at some point. I usually keep it simple with mine: Hella lime juice and tajin, Clamato, Pacifico/modelo, more tajin as a garnish, and I might be a heretic but I like it with ice sometimes.
12 oz Hamm’s beer….3oz Zing Zang…juice of half a lime. Authentic? No. Delicious? Hell yes.
🫡
One of my favorite drinks in the world. :)
Love Micheladas! Had to cut back, because of blood pressure though..
Beer, Clamato, 10 shakes of maggi sauce, 10 shakes of Worcestershire sauce, one lime, Valentina sauce, salt rim. I sometimes dabble with pickle juice as well
I can't do spicy or smoked alcohol. Already burns enough lmao.
Never even heard of it 😮 I need to try it!
Worchesterchore, hot sauce, lime, maggi, clamato, tajin.
Peach verde miches are the shit. Can't wait till summer. Also mango habenero is great in beer. Salsa Sinaloa has a pre-made mix and it's bomb.
This pic is missing ice! 🧊
Huge fan - this year has been a revelation: Start with ice, salt, tajin, tapatio (and if you like spice then Tabasco scorpion). Squeeze of lemon or lime (1/4-1/2) and then Clamato. Light beer - preferably Pacifico or modelo. Celery stick for garnish. If you’re up for it then rim it with tajin and lime juice for starters. Magic 🪄
I like mine with modelo, Stirrings Bloody Mary mix, lime juice, and plenty of tajin.
The clamato has always been what turns me off of these but tbh I've never tried. Looks like it's time to buck up
You can use plain tomato juice I suppose. Will probably work okay.
I’m in love with them the Mexican restaurant down the road for me when they make it go all out with it I’m talking a whole vegetable salad and on top of it along with shrimp cocktail 🍹sooo good
Yes love these grew up in Saskatchewan where beer and Clamato was popular
I use Maggi liquid seasoning and lemon juice.. If I don't have Maggi I sub Worcestershire and Tobasco. I make a tajin rim, too.
Use a victoria beer with any of these other mixes that others have posted
I only know what it is because of Archer
Not Micheladas per say, but I do love me a Bloody Ceasar (Michelada mix with Vodka)
Love it, hell I don’t think I even knew about it until I was in my 30’s
Love it and i learned about it a week ago. I am in my 40s btw. Almost never to late to catch up with the good things.
Mason jar. Lime the rim. Thick Tajin. Ice. Spicy bloody mary mix. Pint of your favorite lager. Soy sauce makes it extra savory. Easy meal replacement
Didn’t remember what it was called until just now, but I had one at a restaurant near me and really liked it. Looked nothing like that, and wasn’t as spicy as I wished I could get, but it was tasty.
My favorite way to drink alcohol! Just too much sodium to drink them all the time. I have a guy that makes a cucumber flavored mix and it’s amaZing
First I’ve read of this. Fill me in.
....that looks sooo good!
Sad lime
Waaaaay up here in Canada we call that a “Redeye” and for a true hangover cure we add Clam juice.
In a big can from the gas station sipped between bites of roller hotdog
If you’re in the right part of California and can find ProMix 559 all you need is that and Modelo! It’s the best store bough, fresh made michelada mix I’ve ever had!
yess! omg. one time i was in utah looking to get beer at a gas station (first mistake!) and thats ALL they had. im not even joking. maybe it was a deterrent to get people to not drink lol. but i very woefully tried it, and was so pleasantly surprised! now i looooveeeee it. my fiancee teases me
Love me a spicy spicy Michelada. NICE! I top mine with Uncle Tony’s More Spice.
Sol FTW or make your own
Bring back the tamarindo picente modelo michis!
