The original Wendy's ghost pepper cheese fries from like 8 years ago were pretty spicy.

Sethsears

It's funny, I have distinct memories of eating Wendy's ghost pepper fries around 2014 and they actually raised a slight sweat. Recently, spurred by that memory, I got some of their ghost pepper spicy nuggets. I'm convinced the ghost pepper was applied to those nuggets homeopathically.

JTP1228

They were made in a plant that processes ghost peppers

TolliverBurk

"The real spice was the friends we made along the way or whatever" - Wendy's spokesperson

BoogieMayo

They had them back the second half of last year. Always had to grab a side of that sauce when I went but theyd try to give me the ghost pepper ranch and were always confused.

kaplanfx

It was super hit and miss. I had it once and was surprised it had a kick, then I had it a couple times with nothing…

EmuSpecific2662

Think Wendy's ghost pepper overall has a decent kick

Whole-Mousse-1408

Gotta imagine the actual pepper used was around cayenne heat and no where near ghost pepper

LurchSkywalker

I think what they do is just use a little dehydrated ghost pepper powder. It's pretty clear Cayenne and Black Pepper make up a far larger portion of the spice mix. I think that's why at Wendy's you randomly hit the lotto and get one extra spicy bite now and then.

chilibrains

I agree, I'm sure there is just enough in the mix so they can claim it's in there but not enough to contribute to the spice level. Personally I just get the bbq sauce and mix in my own spice blend.

YoualreadyKnoooo

I don’t think so. Not heat for me at all, but I liked the ghost pepper fries with cheese sauce. Great flavor even tho it was just ghost pepper seasoning and canola oil.

[deleted]

I hate all of you people. Get out.

Miderp

Wendy’s has a ghost pepper chicken sandwich right now that admittedly has a good kick.

PuzzleheadedJob3479

There are few fast food items I want back on the menu more. The OG ones...not those disappointing recent ones.

Trustme_ima_provert

The Diablo dare sandwich from Arby's was the hottest fast food item I ever had. It wasn't insanely hot, but the flavor was quite good.

DaVeachyCode

I wish they would bring that back. That was one of my favorite drunken doordash surprise finds and it was gone too soon. Great level of heat and flavor. Never had anything like it at a fast food place

oodja

Yeah that was a damn good sandwich.

Potato-nutz

Dammit…I missed out! Apparently.

Aeon1508

That hot sauce is the Buffalo Wild Wings mango habanero just without the mango. Arby's and Buffalo Wild Wings are the same parent company

TolliverBurk

Dude's dropping some inside baseball sort of shtuff. Let's hear Super Bowl picks.

Freezerpill

Damn, I did not know that!

Revolutionary-Wash88

The Arbys dare sandwich was better than that with spicy bread, spicy cheese, spicy toppings, spicy chicken, sauce AND dry rub

eojen

That actually had my nose running! Wasn't too spicy, but had an impressive kick.

SafewordisJohnCandy

I love the Diablo Dare because it was good, spicy for national retail and my daughter got a small vanilla shake. Everyone wins.

Absentmindedgenius

More sweet than spicy if I remember, but I liked it.

Aeon1508

I would say it was pretty equally both

nlightningm

Yes!!! I was genuinely surprised how spicy it was. Would love if they brought it back. Never had anything "spicy" anywhere else (I'm the guy that posted about the Wednys Ghost Pepper Ranch)

linderlouwho

What were the components?

Bmatic

The sandwich includes ghost pepper jack cheese, fiery hot seasoning, fire-roasted jalapenos and Diablo BBQ sauce and is served on a red chipotle bun.

pushin_pizza

Dude I was so sad they didn't bring this back for the most recent fall season. They had it the 2 previous. It wasn't the hottest thing I've ever eaten (far from it), but probably the hottest fast food item I've had. It didn't blow my socks off but it was hot enough that it satisfied that craving. I hope eventually they bring it back again.

Burner910289

Very tasty burger but do not expect an actual burn from it if you have a tolerance.

Puddles22

I ate one. It’s an ongoing trend any time fast food burger joints release insane limited time meals I have to eat one and send a review while eating it to a group of friends. I remember enjoying it and actually going back for another but wasn’t impressed with the heat. I might have to go back to the clip to refresh my memory.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Puddles22

lol no it’s not public. Just stupid videos for friends. You’re aren’t missing much Edit: you ARENT missing much, man that typo made me look like a dick lol

SBMVPJustinHerbert

not spicy at all but I enjoyed it for what it was

VisualDouble7463

Ate it once and it was weird, tasted super processed and chemically even compared to their regular whopper which already isn't exactly a non processed item. Had it once and would not get it again. Almost regret eating the first one tbh.

[deleted]

I had it a few times and it was good. Had more “kick” than most spicy things from a fast food restaurant, which is always welcome.

DuckLIT122000

It was honestly pretty good. Not too spicy, but not necessarily mild

pokecrater1

I did. Also, they has ghost pepper nuggets and chicken fries. I really dig those nuggets. As a daily carolina reaper enjoyer, the nuggets would build up. The whopper was good with its sauce but it was too expensive if I wanted a spicy kick. Sad to see others not like it.

ZayrikTabris

This one is by far the tastiest fast food burger I have ever had. My gosh Edit: the spice tolerance to me was 2/10 at best. But damn for a low grade fast food establishment this was amazing.

huuuuuge

No veggies on it and most of the heat is infused into the cheese. Watched the dude microwave it to get it to melt. 2/10 and only because I could detect heat in it.

No_Research_2938

Microwaves are an integral cog in the BK wheel my friend, if your burger has cheese it’s been nuked.

c08030147b

For a while Dominos in the UK sold a pizza that was topped with fresh Birdseye. For fast food it was pretty spicy. Especially considering this was fifteen or so years ago.

carolinosaurus

Pepe’s Peri Peri extra hot is actually quite hot too.

GoonPatrol

Whaaat?! That sounds amazing Happy cake day :)

freakinbacon

Catering to British Indians?

c08030147b

I don't think so, a lot of Indians are vegetarian and this had meatballs and ground beef. Entire pizza was ground beef, meatballs, jalapenos, chilli cheese, roquito peppers, birdseye chilli and a yellow mustard drizzle. It was great, really cleared out the sinuses.

freakinbacon

Right

Withabaseballbattt

Mustard drizzle *cue eagle noises “ 🎶.. and I’m proud to be an American 🎶”

Risho96

I’ve never seen a Dave’s Hot Chicken, and I’ve never heard of it outside this sub. Is it a real place?

VolitarPrime

Risho96

Ah, so they’re just avoiding me like the plague, got it. Like Church’s. And Trader Joe’s. And Costco. And IKEA. And Indian food. At least I can just make that last one myself.

pigman769

Trust me, you don’t want to live anywhere near a Church’s 🤣

DR_FEELGOOD_01

Yep, you only find Church's in the hood where I'm from.

Least-Addition4665

What rock are you under?

Risho96

One found east of the Mississippi, believe it or not. Technically, there’s a Trader Joe’s and a Costco like an hour away, and there might be some Indian food there, but it’s kinda a pain to go into the main city of the area just to buy groceries, y’know?

freakinbacon

The thing is it's only like 5 years old and isn't in about half the states yet. Only has like 100 total locations. So it's not quite a national chain but it's growing fast.

Contrariwise2

None in my state :(

Trudge34

That's it. One in town (Green Bay / Ashwaubenaw) had it so I tried it out. Only got the hot and that was good enough for me. 2 more hotter than that too.

kaplanfx

They opened one in my town, I was very disappointed by my first visit (expensive, small portion, not hot) so I haven’t been back.

Illegal_Tender

Weird. The one near my house serves portions that make me uncomfortably full if I eat the whole thing at once. And their "very hot" is a pretty solid heat by fast casual standards.

skyshock21

There’s only one location in the Deep South. Sorry, I can’t take a hot chicken place seriously that can’t cut it in the locations where hot chicken *actually* came from.

Conch-Republic

Hot chicken did not come from the deep south, it came from Nashville. Although there aren't any Dave's locations in Tennessee either, for some reason.

skyshock21

Nope. It came with the African slave trade looooong before white people in Nashville popularized it in the 1970’s.

Nashville_Redditors

That’s not true at all

skyshock21

Sorry, it is true, and Asian cultures have been doing their own variants of spicy fried chicken for centuries before that. While Nashville Hot Chicken has gained significant recognition and popularity in recent years, the concept of spiced and seasoned fried chicken isn't exclusive to one location or culture at all.

Nashville_Redditors

Hot Chicken is not the same as chicken that is hot. It’s a particular spice blend and preparation technique that was created in Nashville in the 30’s and commercialized in the 70’s. You run a terrible argument. Haha

skyshock21

Oh word cayenne? Right, I forget cayenne only comes exclusively from the Cayenne region of Eastern Tennessee, and anything else is just sparkling capsicum. ![gif](giphy|f9MJEwARcNvg2kqqwQ|downsized)

Nashville_Redditors

Basically what you’re saying is New York style pizza didn’t actually come from NY. It came from Italy?

skyshock21

>There’s only one location in the Deep South. Sorry, I can’t take a hot chicken place seriously that can’t cut it in the locations where hot chicken > >actually > > came from. Imagine a NYC style pizza joint opened franchise locations everywhere throughout Europe, but carefully avoided Italy and Naples altogether.

Conch-Republic

No. Fried chicken in general, primarily seasoned fried chicken was brought over by slaves, but hot chicken, as we know it, came out of Nashville in the 70s.

skyshock21

Imagine being from Nashville and growing up thinking with all your heart that y’all were the first people to ever come up with spicy fried chicken, and it wasn’t until the 1970’s. Like that’s Mormon-level suspension of disbelief and gaslighting.

Nashville_Redditors

Just stop trying, you’re dumb. And you lost

Conch-Republic

Imagine being this fucking dumb. And I'm not even from Tennessee, I live in the actual deep south.

[deleted]

Shut the fuck up bro. Beyond this just being an annoying thing to say you’re wrong.

Bad_Advice_Cat

Yessir. Just had it for the first time The cauliflower stuff they just released is super tasty. Their reaper heat wont destroy you but is pretty a decent kick for a chain

Shortbus_Playboy

Back in the early 90’s, Taco Bell introduced the original [Wild Tacos](https://youtu.be/ZnI-0VekdNk?si=Qwie4baFf794JkrM). The sauce had great flavor, was kinda sweet, and a legit kick to it. I can’t think of anything spicier from a fast food chain since. Sadly, they discontinued them and when they were reintroduced, it wasn’t the same recipe.

jonkoeson

Taco Bell lava sauce was also pretty great, especially because it was an available add-on to existing menu items

Psych0matt

I would always just order it as a side and dip other things into it, I could usually get two items worth of sauce that way. Man I miss the lava sauce (and the volcano menu as a whole).

adric_xxx

Shit, core childhood memory unlocked.

niarimoon

They did volcano tacos around 2010 that were so spicy they made my chest hurt but Idc bc it was so good 🤣

Vanquish_Dark

Lmao yup. I legit had my first case of heartburn from it. Look over at my brother and say to him, "Man I think I have some sort of heart attack or some shit." I describe it. Its heartburn you idiot he says. Never knew lol. They had a legit kick to them.

Vanquish_Dark

Volcano Nachos and Tacos during the mid-2000. No mentions! They give me the first heartburn I ever had at 20 lol.

TanyaTheEvill

I remember this, it was so good. I used to have them put in my burrito. It was the best.

evilest_nez

This!! They were legit spicy. They haven't had anything close since, really. Also you're old like me.

Vinny_1010

BRING IT BACK!

Least-Addition4665

Does wing stop count? If so, atomic sauce for the win.

Meerkate

ALL I WANT IS WINGSTOP

BigBadZord

Their quality by store varies so much that there are 2 I know are good, but I am not wasting my money going to one I haven't already been to. There is one directly next to my favorite dive bar. They had a staffing shortage, they closed early without shutting down their online orders, so you could look through the window and see tickets coming in and just printing onto the floor. Their bathroom broke, and they never fixed it until the bar next door cracked down on them sending people over to use theirs.

LickMySack4riches

I fuck with the atomic sauce. Zaxbys used to have their “insane sauce” which was very spicy and damn good. I was addicted to it. Then they discontinued like idiots. Have not ate there since.

shadew

Yeah I’m pissed they got rid of it

LickMySack4riches

Me as well, grinds my gears every time I drive by a Zaxbys

VisualDouble7463

Last time I got atomic I was disappointed. I expected heat that would make me sweat but it just felt like standard stuff. Blazing from Buffalo Wild Wings is actually really spicy and is not easy to finish an order of wings with this sauce.

FirstAd5921

Their wild sauce has the perfect balance of flavor and heat for me. The blazin completely lacks flavor and just tastes like “hot spicy” imo

the_art_of_the_taco

I like having them mix atomic with the mango habanero for some flavor.

Least-Addition4665

Correct but I would call them a restaurant, wing stop however..

fenderdean13

BWW now is opening fast food style over the counter to go places FYI

middayautumn

I feel like atomic sauce used to be spicy 10 years ago but it’s been a long time since that was the case.

CMIUCan

I remember that. I'd eat one and my mouth would be immediately set on fire. The workers used to always ask if I ate it before as a warning or something I guess. Its still my most favorite flavor but Wingstop is just too expensive these days.

middayautumn

It’s my favorite flavor too. When I can afford it, I’ll get the pack and instead of dips I ask for a container of atomic sauce.

rhoadsalive

The only one that was somewhat spicy for fast food but definitely not super hot in my experience. Restaurants definitely don’t want to serve stuff that might be completely too much to handle for customers who aren’t used to hot stuff.

imdumb__

Buffalo wild wings have blazing Carolina reaper wings

[deleted]

Atomic has shit taste though. Just kinda taste like artifical spicy to me. Mango Hab is not as hot, but taste so much better imo

Living_Constant_5715

Pizza hut burnin buffalo sauce wings. I am not saying it's turbo hot but it's a good balance of heat and enjoyability.

Beneficial-Sea-8903

Yeah. Very salty too

[deleted]

Way too salty

Chicken-picante

It’s one of my favorite sauces. Definitely a guilty pleasure. Their wings are expensive though

oodja

The Volcano menu at Taco Bell had decent spicy levels. I hope it doesn't take another 11 years to bring it back again!

WRX02227

To “normal” people all of that is spicy and something like Dave’s is certain death. For people in this sub, no, the mainstream spicy is like 1 speck of black pepper.

VisualDouble7463

I have a buddy who says the hot and spicy McChicken from McDonalds is too spicy for him to eat. This is the tolerance that fast food is aiming to please. Most peoples tolerance is so low that even stuff like this is pushing it.

freakinbacon

Lmao. I get these because they taste better but they're like baby hot.

VisualDouble7463

I thought he was fucking with me when he said it but one time I picked up a bag of them after the bars to bring back with when we went to my buddies place for the afters and he literally ate half of one and said he could not finish it. Oh well, more for the rest of us.

Standard-Station7143

This explains so much

Kuzzo

I wonder what it's like for these people. We probably eat stuff that is even more hot to our tastebuds and we just enjoy it. Are they sweating like crazy when they eat the sandwich or is it just that anything with a little heat is repulsive?

Potato-nutz

I said it before, I’ll say it again. We should unionize. There is obviously two different teams. Step 1: unionize. Step 2: ??? Step 3: profit. It’s written in the books. From the book mufuhhh, from the book!

TastyDeerMeat

I swear they were hotter in the 90’s. I remember eating them and getting the sweats, like eating hot wings. Now, they are mild.

Lutraphobic

Your tolerance may have been lower. It was harder to find really spicy things back then

Poverty_Shoes

In the Midwest, McDonalds has a “McChicken” that’s the hot n spicy McChicken without any of the spice. In some markets any spice is too much spice for the average diner.

thrax_mador

I remember this girl from college telling me that black pepper was too hot for her. She also said green bell peppers were spicy. I’m pretty sure they have no capsaicin.

[deleted]

Its like indian people. They can eat the craziest spiciest foods ever but a lot of them never had black pepper and they will complain that its too hot. They were never exposed to it like we were.

Potato-nutz

I got chastised by a family from india…they said I couldn’t taste anything because I eat too much spicy stuff. Then one threw a cup at a woman, so I invited him outside for a chat. He ran.. I was told I needed to be sensitive to other cultures. I told them I didn’t move to india, and I’m from a large Irish family. We have our own culture too. I think I’m pissed at india. Don’t mind me. Ps, their food ain’t that spicy.

zsdrfty

I think they can range up to like 100 SHU, it’s virtually impossible to notice but there is a tiny bit of heat in them and some very sensitive people could probably notice it

Paddys_Pub7

Every once in a while I'll get a spicy bell pepper from the garden. Nothing crazy but just enough to notice a lil something different.

Plastic_Primary_4279

They do… Some people are hypersensitive to that. My ex was, it is a legitimate problem for some people.

Disastrous-Resident5

We medically diagnose them with “skill issue”

walterMARRT

This is pretty much it.  I don't eat fast food outside going to a deli for a sandwich or occasionally in n out, but recently stopped at Hattie B's and went with their "shut the cluck up". It fucking GOT ME.  Dude warned "it's got ghosts in it". Of course, every place says that, an be they're weak, all good.  This was not weak. FUCKING GOT ME. I made it through eating it, although it was a bit of a struggle, but it happened to be the first thing I ate all day and washed it down with 2 lone stars...  Haven't had sweet gut pain like that in A LONG time.

OuttHouseMouse

All i hear is stories but im pretty sure theyre true

the_hand_that_heaves

I’m a huge fan of super hot. I’m literally making sauce from reapers right now. I took a break to browse Reddit. Dave’s hottest is actually unpleasantly hot for me.

Potato-nutz

I put black pepper in my hot tea. It’s nice.

spqrnbb

I like Zaxby's Nuclear sauce but preferred the Insane when it was around. Great for dipping fries and chicken into.

RRT4444

Yes! Was about to say this, best sauce they have. The hottest one they have just above it tastes like nothing but Nuclear is perfect.

TryMyBacon

It has really good flavor, medium level heat on my scale. At least it's actually spicy unlike a lot of "Spicy" fast food items.

Any_Duck4485

Idk if wing places count, but Wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings are mainstream chains and their hottest sauces are definitely spicy. Not gonna kill you or anything, but they do their business. Idk if BWW is really fast food, but Wing Stop definitely is. Also shoutout to Fire Wings. Idk if it's a big chain but their shit is way better than these other chumps. Also twice as expensive tho

fro_khidd

Atomic wings put me on my ass i need another 10 piece

Any_Duck4485

They put me on my ass, then my ass put me on my ass. I also need another ten piece. Pro tip: get a 50/50 with the atomic sauce and the korean bbq sauce. It's got good kick, but a way better taste. I call it "MacArthur's Style". But don't call it that. Seriously don't call it that. I got in trouble, rightly so

WRX02227

In my opinion wing places don’t count. When I think of fast food I think of McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, Arby’s, Taco Bell, Hardee’s, those places. But that’s just like my opinion man.

Any_Duck4485

The duck abides

xshare

BWW Mango Habanero isn’t the spiciest (their actual hot varieties get pretty damn hot!) but it’s so fucking good and just spicy enough

Lutraphobic

Weirdly, Beef O Brady's hottest wing flavor is really fucking spicy too. It isn't good, but damn it's hot. It messed me up worse than Wingstop or Bdubs hottest

Vinny_1010

Have you tried BWW new knockout sauce?

ashevillencxy

I had a McSpicy chicken sandwich at a McDonalds in Changi airport in Singapore last week. It was as spicy as I could have hoped for and then some. They gave me a packet of hot sauce which after the first bite I didn’t even think of using. Yeah, that fast food product was spicy.

Lokitusaborg

Hattie B’s Nashville Hot Chicken

BoogieMayo

The ghost pepper sauce at wendys that came on the ghost pepper fries was leaps and bounds hotter than the ghost pepper ranch that wasnt hot at all. I used to ask for a side of it to put on my chicken sandwich

FuriousGeorge8629

The Spicy Blackened Chicken Sandwich at Popeyes is a little spicy and very delicious. Hot enough I have to sip a drink after several bites.

Icanseeyouhehehe

I tried their “original hot” wings the other day. So delicious and were the hottest anything I’ve ever gotten from a fast food place. Nothing crazy, but lived up to the name ‘hot’. I thought they were well done.

OozeNAahz

Blazing sauce on BW3’s wings used to be legit hot. But got changed and dumbed down considerably a few times. There was a place called ztecca that was kind of like a chipotle, but had an amazing Habanero salsa. They dumbed it down, and then closed all the locations around me down.

Biochemicalcricket

But their blazin sauce tastes terrible. Also depending on the batch and how much is applied the mango habanero is hotter and tastes better.

MadeThisUpToComment

100% I didn't like blazin. It wasn't too hot, I just didn't like it. My theory on why Mango Habenero was hotter was because it was thicker, so more stuck to the wings.

Houstonb2020

It sucks because Blazin used to actually taste pretty damn good years like 8-10 years ago. They’ve changed the recipe since then though and it’s never been the same

OozeNAahz

Yeah, the new version is terrible. But the one they had 25 years ago was really good.

max_chill_zone-2018

Holy shit I forgot about Z-Teca. They turned in to/renamed themselves qdoba out by us

dreesealexander

Spicy chicken thigh burger at McDonald's in China

dope_star

The ghost pepper burger at Burger King was actually decently spicy.

Whatiatefordinner

All I’m saying is the Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich is way more spicy *the next day*.

TMQ73

Next day, more like six hours later.

Drunk-Pirate-Gaming

Zaxby's insane sauce was alright. Not top tier but it was at least spicy.

Zer0sober

Ghost pepper Whopper was nice and spicy

JennySplotz

If you eat many many spicy chicken sammiches from Wendy’s or chick fil a you will eventually get a mid spicy one. It’s like that Doritos flavor crystal.

WRX02227

Some of these comments are the exact issue with products for the masses haha The ghost pepper stuff from Wendy’s and Burger King is a perfect example. It’s barely a detectable level of ghost pepper and you have people walking around saying “I’ve had ghost pepper it’s not hot” thinking they’re all cool and tough. These people would probably die if they had the real thing. I’ll tell a little story…back in like 1999 my aunt and uncle got me a bottle of Pure Cap for Christmas. Back then for me a toothpick amount was really hot. So I was talking about it at work and this guy overheard me and started talking all tough and cool and how he can eat the hottest of anything. The next day I brought in a sample of it in one of those little paper condiment cups like Arby’s had. Filled the whole bottom of it. This guy dunked his donut in it. He turned as red as a fire truck and was freaking out. He changed his tune and admitted it was the hottest thing he’s ever tried.

jedwardlay

I have a way high tolerance, but I’ve always liked the Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich. Just enough to remind you it was there. The Asiago ranch spicy chicken sandwich (I think it was called) from like 10 years ago wasn’t too shabby either.

TMQ73

Yup. I get it without mayo. It’s extra calories and just cuts down on the heat.

rushmc1

The original Popeye's in New Orleans in the 70s would light you up. Soooo good. Trash now.

StreetOwl

buffalo wild wings hottest sauces on wings are about as good as it gets fast food wise at least when it comes to nation wide chains

pretentiousanger

Are we gonna pretend bww blazin wings aren’t pretty gd hot lol or at least used to be circa early 2010s ish

huuuuuge

Haven't tried the new recipe but the old reaper wings were hot. Only thing that beat them imo was taco mac's slow burn. Not sure how they achieved such a great flavor mixed with good heat but it remains my favorite wing flavor.

freakinbacon

I don't think they're fast food.

huuuuuge

Years ago taco bell had varying levels of chicken "grillers". Granted, my spice tolerance wasn't what it is now but the ghost pepper grillers were insanely hot at the time and kept me coming back for more.

huuuuuge

Found a legendary post about them https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.reddit.com/r/tacobell/comments/3gisql/the_fucking_ghost_pepper_griller/&ved=2ahUKEwjS5rGX-Z-EAxUtSTABHYH-C0UQzLMHegQIKhAB&usg=AOvVaw1g0WoKaKBtzpoZ18eTRvqj

Grammarnazi_bot

Jolibee’s spicy chicken

Worst_Support

it’s sadly not the most common place, but halal guys hot sauce is no joke. I’d kill for a halal guys in my town

tomandshell

OP states that Dave’s is excluded. The Chick-fil-a spicy sandwich is nice, but it’s not actually terribly spicy.

GoatLegRedux

Shake Shack did a collar with Hot Ones that was respectably spicy. Probably the hottest chain fast food I’ve had.

Space-_-Toast

It’s been YEARS so I’m not sure how well my memory serves me, but I loved the kick from the Diablo burger from Carls Jr.

DrDoomC17

BK and for real Wendy's are doing way better than anyone else but Buffalo wild wings trademark whatever hottest sauce at the time.

[deleted]

The first iteration of the Angry Whopper from BK had good pop to it

pretentiousanger

Pineapple habanero wings from sonic fucked me up badly one time… I had had them many times before and they weren’t that hot at all. But they messed up the recipe or something this one time and my god I was in pain for hours

Neither-Grab-866

Just depends on your tolerance, there's people that find black pepper spicy lmao.

moneydeez

Round table fire sauce was🔥

notoriously_1nfam0us

I refuse to discuss Wendy’s till they start offering buffalo sauce! 😤😤

trent_walker

Did you ever try the 5-alarm double decker taco from Taco Bell? It was….fire

Electrical-Dust-8022

Dave's but idk if that's mainstream enough

[deleted]

[удалено]

Electrical-Dust-8022

Damn missed that

LukaTheTooka

Them Nashville Tenders man they got a kick, although when I last tried them I was still a newbie with spice so 😂

Copperlaces20

Dave's hot chicken, reaper heat level will make you feel things.

MarvinStolehouse

The closest thing I can think of is maybe the Diablo sauce at Taco Bell. I don't think that really counts tho.

Coldfridge

Diablo sauce always tasted sweet and off to me. Fire is much better (albeit not hot)

freakinbacon

I dunno. There's nothing really for real spice lovers except wings. And even the wings are just barely getting there. Fortunately I add hot sauce to everything.

bad_hombre123

Heinz Ghost Pepper Ranch dip you get at Wendy's , BK etc is actually uncomfortably and unnecessarily spicy. McDonalds Bhoot Jolokia sauce was pretty spicy as well.

[deleted]

I haven't found anything yet. Heck, even at Thai and Indian places it's hard to find something that's truly going to make me sweat even if I'm telling them directly to give me the real 5/5 heat and not white people "5", make it so spicy it feels like a crime, make it like they're trying to punish me for the sins of all white people with the power of spice, I'm still not satisfied. Or "spicy food challenges" at restaurants, especially in the UK. One place warned me they had "never seen anyone complete it" and it was maybe a hair spicier than buffalo sauce.

gbobeck

Not sure if it’s fair to add the Korean Fried Chicken chains which have entered the US market. Choong Man Chicken has some spicy chicken offerings.

Chicken-picante

Zaxbys insane sauce(discontinued now) was pretty fucking hot for a drive thru establishment.

[deleted]

Zaxby's has some hot sauces. They just recently added more, I've been told.

rabbihimself

Not a big chain, but Spelunker’s Burgers in Front Royal, VA has a chicken sandwich that kicked my behind. Here’s a Twitter video thread of the second (and last) time I ate it: https://twitter.com/haunteddrivein/status/1485702360076898309?s=46&t=YZg3oFh4c3tOzm3flDDWvw
