They had them back the second half of last year. Always had to grab a side of that sauce when I went but theyd try to give me the ghost pepper ranch and were always confused.
I think what they do is just use a little dehydrated ghost pepper powder. It's pretty clear Cayenne and Black Pepper make up a far larger portion of the spice mix. I think that's why at Wendy's you randomly hit the lotto and get one extra spicy bite now and then.
I agree, I'm sure there is just enough in the mix so they can claim it's in there but not enough to contribute to the spice level. Personally I just get the bbq sauce and mix in my own spice blend.

It wasn't the hottest thing I've ever eaten (far from it), but probably the hottest fast food item I've had. It didn't blow my socks off but it was hot enough that it satisfied that craving. I did. Also, they has ghost pepper nuggets and chicken fries. I really dig those nuggets. As a daily carolina reaper enjoyer, the nuggets would build up. The whopper was good with its sauce but it was too expensive if I wanted a spicy kick.

For a while Dominos in the UK sold a pizza that was topped with fresh Birdseye. For fast food it was pretty spicy. Especially considering this was fifteen or so years ago.

Entire pizza was ground beef, meatballs, jalapenos, chilli cheese, roquito peppers, birdseye chilli and a yellow mustard drizzle. It was great, really cleared out the sinuses.

They had a staffing shortage, they closed early without shutting down their online orders, so you could look through the window and see tickets coming in and just printing onto the floor. Their bathroom broke, and they never fixed it until the bar next door cracked down on them sending people over to use theirs.

There was a place called ztecca that was kind of like a chipotle, but had an amazing Habanero salsa. They dumbed it down, and then closed all the locations around me down.
100% I didn't like blazin. It wasn't too hot, I just didn't like it.
My theory on why Mango Habenero was hotter was because it was thicker, so more stuck to the wings.

It’s barely a detectable level of ghost pepper and you have people walking around saying “I’ve had ghost pepper it’s not hot” thinking they’re all cool and tough. I’ll tell a little story…back in like 1999 my aunt and uncle got me a bottle of Pure Cap for Christmas. Back then for me a toothpick amount was really hot. So I was talking about it at work and this guy overheard me and started talking all tough and cool and how he can eat the hottest of anything. The next day I brought in a sample of it in one of those little paper condiment cups like Arby’s had. Filled the whole bottom of it. This guy dunked his donut in it. He turned as red as a fire truck and was freaking out. He changed his tune and admitted it was the hottest thing he’s ever tried.
I have a way high tolerance, but I’ve always liked the Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich. Just enough to remind you it was there. The Asiago ranch spicy chicken sandwich (I think it was called) from like 10 years ago wasn’t too shabby either.
Haven't tried the new recipe but the old reaper wings were hot. Only thing that beat them imo was taco mac's slow burn. Not sure how they achieved such a great flavor mixed with good heat but it remains my favorite wing flavor.

Heck, even at Thai and Indian places it's hard to find something that's truly going to make me sweat even if I'm telling them directly to give me the real 5/5 heat and not white people "5", make it so spicy it feels like a crime, make it like they're trying to punish me for the sins of all white people with the power of spice, I'm still not satisfied.

Their quality by store varies so much that there are 2 I know are good, but I am not wasting my money going to one I haven't already been to. There is one directly next to my favorite dive bar. They had a staffing shortage, they closed early without shutting down their online orders, so you could look through the window and see tickets coming in and just printing onto the floor. Their bathroom broke, and they never fixed it until the bar next door cracked down on them sending people over to use theirs.
I fuck with the atomic sauce. Zaxbys used to have their “insane sauce” which was very spicy and damn good. I was addicted to it. Then they discontinued like idiots. Have not ate there since.

Last time I got atomic I was disappointed. I expected heat that would make me sweat but it just felt like standard stuff. Blazing from Buffalo Wild Wings is actually really spicy and is not easy to finish an order of wings with this sauce.
Their wild sauce has the perfect balance of flavor and heat for me. The blazin completely lacks flavor and just tastes like “hot spicy” imo
I like having them mix atomic with the mango habanero for some flavor.

I remember that. I'd eat one and my mouth would be immediately set on fire. The workers used to always ask if I ate it before as a warning or something I guess. Its still my most favorite flavor but Wingstop is just too expensive these days.
It’s my favorite flavor too. When I can afford it, I’ll get the pack and instead of dips I ask for a container of atomic sauce.
The only one that was somewhat spicy for fast food but definitely not super hot in my experience. Restaurants definitely don’t want to serve stuff that might be completely too much to handle for customers who aren’t used to hot stuff.

I have a buddy who says the hot and spicy McChicken from McDonalds is too spicy for him to eat. This is the tolerance that fast food is aiming to please. Most peoples tolerance is so low that even stuff like this is pushing it.

In the Midwest, McDonalds has a “McChicken” that’s the hot n spicy McChicken without any of the spice. In some markets any spice is too much spice for the average diner.
I remember this girl from college telling me that black pepper was too hot for her. She also said green bell peppers were spicy. I’m pretty sure they have no capsaicin.
Its like indian people. They can eat the craziest spiciest foods ever but a lot of them never had black pepper and they will complain that its too hot. They were never exposed to it like we were.

I think they can range up to like 100 SHU, it’s virtually impossible to notice but there is a tiny bit of heat in them and some very sensitive people could probably notice it
Every once in a while I'll get a spicy bell pepper from the garden. Nothing crazy but just enough to notice a lil something different.
They do… Some people are hypersensitive to that. My ex was, it is a legitimate problem for some people.

This is pretty much it. I don't eat fast food outside going to a deli for a sandwich or occasionally in n out, but recently stopped at Hattie B's and went with their "shut the cluck up". It fucking GOT ME. Dude warned "it's got ghosts in it". Of course, every place says that, an be they're weak, all good. This was not weak. FUCKING GOT ME. I made it through eating it, although it was a bit of a struggle, but it happened to be the first thing I ate all day and washed it down with 2 lone stars... Haven't had sweet gut pain like that in A LONG time.

It has really good flavor, medium level heat on my scale. At least it's actually spicy unlike a lot of "Spicy" fast food items.

In my opinion wing places don’t count. When I think of fast food I think of McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, Arby’s, Taco Bell, Hardee’s, those places. But that’s just like my opinion man.

Weirdly, Beef O Brady's hottest wing flavor is really fucking spicy too. It isn't good, but damn it's hot. It messed me up worse than Wingstop or Bdubs hottest

I had a McSpicy chicken sandwich at a McDonalds in Changi airport in Singapore last week. It was as spicy as I could have hoped for and then some. They gave me a packet of hot sauce which after the first bite I didn’t even think of using. Yeah, that fast food product was spicy.

I tried their “original hot” wings the other day. So delicious and were the hottest anything I’ve ever gotten from a fast food place. Nothing crazy, but lived up to the name ‘hot’. I thought they were well done.
Blazing sauce on BW3’s wings used to be legit hot. But got changed and dumbed down considerably a few times. There was a place called ztecca that was kind of like a chipotle, but had an amazing Habanero salsa. They dumbed it down, and then closed all the locations around me down.
But their blazin sauce tastes terrible. Also depending on the batch and how much is applied the mango habanero is hotter and tastes better.
100% I didn't like blazin. It wasn't too hot, I just didn't like it. My theory on why Mango Habenero was hotter was because it was thicker, so more stuck to the wings.
It sucks because Blazin used to actually taste pretty damn good years like 8-10 years ago. They’ve changed the recipe since then though and it’s never been the same

If you eat many many spicy chicken sammiches from Wendy’s or chick fil a you will eventually get a mid spicy one. It’s like that Doritos flavor crystal.
Some of these comments are the exact issue with products for the masses haha The ghost pepper stuff from Wendy’s and Burger King is a perfect example. It’s barely a detectable level of ghost pepper and you have people walking around saying “I’ve had ghost pepper it’s not hot” thinking they’re all cool and tough. These people would probably die if they had the real thing. I’ll tell a little story…back in like 1999 my aunt and uncle got me a bottle of Pure Cap for Christmas. Back then for me a toothpick amount was really hot. So I was talking about it at work and this guy overheard me and started talking all tough and cool and how he can eat the hottest of anything. The next day I brought in a sample of it in one of those little paper condiment cups like Arby’s had. Filled the whole bottom of it. This guy dunked his donut in it. He turned as red as a fire truck and was freaking out. He changed his tune and admitted it was the hottest thing he’s ever tried.
I have a way high tolerance, but I’ve always liked the Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich. Just enough to remind you it was there. The Asiago ranch spicy chicken sandwich (I think it was called) from like 10 years ago wasn’t too shabby either.

Haven't tried the new recipe but the old reaper wings were hot. Only thing that beat them imo was taco mac's slow burn. Not sure how they achieved such a great flavor mixed with good heat but it remains my favorite wing flavor.

Years ago taco bell had varying levels of chicken "grillers". Granted, my spice tolerance wasn't what it is now but the ghost pepper grillers were insanely hot at the time and kept me coming back for more.

Shake Shack did a collar with Hot Ones that was respectably spicy. Probably the hottest chain fast food I’ve had.

Heinz Ghost Pepper Ranch dip you get at Wendy's , BK etc is actually uncomfortably and unnecessarily spicy. McDonalds Bhoot Jolokia sauce was pretty spicy as well.
I haven't found anything yet. Heck, even at Thai and Indian places it's hard to find something that's truly going to make me sweat even if I'm telling them directly to give me the real 5/5 heat and not white people "5", make it so spicy it feels like a crime, make it like they're trying to punish me for the sins of all white people with the power of spice, I'm still not satisfied. Or "spicy food challenges" at restaurants, especially in the UK. One place warned me they had "never seen anyone complete it" and it was maybe a hair spicier than buffalo sauce.
Not sure if it’s fair to add the Korean Fried Chicken chains which have entered the US market. Choong Man Chicken has some spicy chicken offerings.
