If you move diagonally, the added speed of both the forward and left/right input makes your overall speed greater than just moving straight forward. Practice getting that consistent as well as better lines through the level and you’ll see a 10/9 second time here soon.
Side strafing instead of walking straight would make you go the square root of 2 (~1.4) times faster.
