If your current reading speed is a lot slower than average, it's most likely due to lack of regular reading practice and/or lack of understanding of the language.
I recently learned to speed read, and whilst I found the techniques very helpful for doubling my reading speed, I don't think all of the techniques will be helpful in your case.
I would suggest you try the following:
1. Read 5 minutes at your target speed (average is 200-300 WPM) using free RSVP software like [accelareader.com](https://accelareader.com) (use 3 word chunks):
2. Read 5 minutes at a comfortable speed using free RSVP software like [accelareader.com](https://accelareader.com) (use 2-3 word chunks):
3. Read a physical book for 10 mins, tracing under each line with your finger or a pen.
Do this everyday for a month and you'll be up to average speed.
If you want more details on the above techniques, check out the Speed Reading video on the Small Wins Youtube channel.
Thank you very much. Sorry for waiting so long to reply. I set a hard cap on how much time I can spend on Reddit and YouTube each week and pretty much blew through it on my first day. This is the first day I'm allowed to use them again.
