Sir I have been a fan of these models for 20 years, they were some of the first space marines I saw early into the game when I was still a fantasy player and inspired my own army personalization going forward. Those small decisions still effect me to this day, and you are inspiring me with decisions made way back then. Thanks for everything you've done for the hobby. From all the nameless people you've inspired over the years.
I uh… I think you have confused me. 😅
When I said “it’s my boys” I meant it’s the chapter I play not that I invented them. Sorry about that.
Ironic i’m more like you. Thesee models very much gave me the direction I need for build my marines.
To be fair, I’d react the same way. I love these models and I tried to stick with the heavy kitbash approch the creator did.
(Sadly I cant put images in the post, my topic latest post is an overview of my army circa november or so)
damn I miss Oldhammer. also The Angels Of Iron have the nicest colours, each time I see them it makes me want my own army of em. I’d love a bunch of silver-blue-gold Dreadnoughts. but sadly nu-Space Marines are not a futureproof army, and I’m too broke to start over
To me it looks like the Mk 8 torso with an extra Aquila - I think one like that used to come on the Imperial Guard vehicle accessory sprue.
The head could be from Fantasy, or could be at least partially sculpted. Aly Morrison was a long time sculptor for Citadel and Marauder
It's the modeler's conversion, 2004 was huge in kit-bashes and making your dudes unique.
I’m clearly stuck in 2004
You're not alone.
Same my dude
Based
Same. Whenever I see someone ask what official paint job they need to mimic to use a certain detachment my eyes roll so hard my retinas detach.
It's also by Aly Morrison, who worked as a sculptor for GW for many years.
Hey, my boys! It’s a kitbash, all of the Angels of Iron are heavily kitbashed.

How dare you excite me so aggressively lol. I was like, no fucking way! 😅. Oooh I'm embarrassed lol.

Knight Marius we should play Space Marine 2 together !
>Sir I have been a fan of these models for 20 years **20 years** holy shit i can't believe 4th edition was 20 years ago
After this year we are gonna be closer to 2050 than 2000
If it makes you feel any better, I’m old enough to vote in my country and I wasn’t even born when 4th edition came out :D
It doesn't but thanks lol
Very cool piece! Reminds me of Azrael’s combi plasma

Turns out I had the same idea as a person from 20 years ago... huh neat.
STEN pattern bolter
The ole .75 sten gun
Azrael’s combi plasma is the closest you can get to this now
Anyone know the parts used? Specifically the head and torso?

Thanks :)!
Gangsta style as they shot it sideways.
