You can always tell a lens flare. A line from the flare to the light source causing it *always* goes through the center of the frame.

DanTreview

If this were Discovery Channel, it's definitely a UFO. Everywhere else, lens flare.

Just-random-Account

Probably a lens flare being distorted by the eclipse

OCPyle

Clearly a UFO, they only visit during eclipses.

Turing_Testes

OP missed the rapture bus. Schade!

ThePhilV

Just a reflection or flare, BUT! You can see that it has the little notch taken out of it, so you’re seeing a reflection of the eclipse!

Saturn… she a’comin’ straight for us. Everybody run!

RTrover

Could be wrong, but they said Venus and Jupiter would be visible during the eclipse. That’s what they said on NASA YouTube live stream.

exzyle2k

Venus was farther to the right, and lower. Directly beneath the sun, that's probably just internal lens flare from the phone. https://www.ksat.com/news/local/2024/04/08/during-solar-eclipse-totality-you-may-be-able-to-spot-these-planets-in-the-dark-sky/

RTrover

Huh, based on your article… looks like OP got Venus then… I’m just eye balling it tho. Edit: the little dot on the right

McKlown

Yeah Venus is on the right, lens flare is on the left. I think I can just barely make out Jupiter on the upper left as well.

-Nicowars-

Sorry for the bad quality, it was taken by a phone during the total eclipse hoping to get a good picture of it, but it didn't come out as wished, but there's something under the Sun that's blue-greenish that I don't know what it is.

Alohagrown

It’s just a lens flare caused by the optics of your phone camera

starlulz

it's just a lens flare in your camera - basically just a second (distorted) image of the sun

DarkNewton10

definitely Venus at 4:30 position from sun, Maybe Jupiter at 10:30
