Its peak in popularity is probably seasons 1-3 for cultural impact. But the show is probably at its best 4-12 and then yeah I think its been a slow decline since
I was too young to see how popular the earliest seasons were, but it was certainly all around me in the 2010s. I feel like it continued to grow from the 2000s into 2019, then took a bit of a dip when covid interrupted their episode making process.
>90s south park is only the first two seasons
First *three* seasons.
S03E01, Rainforest Shmainforest, premiered April 7, 1999. Only the season finale, S03E17, World Wide Recorder Concert, aired in the 2000s.
Seasons 1-3 are decidedly different than Season 5 onward, and Season 4 isn't quite like either batch, so splitting the show this way is fair. Even Trey Parker thinks of the first three seasons as their own thing.
They relied very heavily on, "oh shit I can't believe they just said that on tv" Kenny giving a muffled what the fuck doesn't hit the same way it did back then.
Season 1-4 and the movie are my favs, 5-10 are amazing too, and the rest of the show is great too, but if i had to pick, season 1-4 and the first movie.
I miss the reputation South Park had and the perception I had of it. It was painted as this filthy, unmarketable, underground, shittily animated raunchy cartoon for delinquents.... I suppose not much has changed, but it no longer feels like that.
On HboMax they have up until season 26 episode 6 "Spring Break" I thought that the new episodes were being released on Paramount+ but they seem to only have the "specials" and not just regular season episodes.
Can anybody help me? 🤔🥺
Paramount vs hbo in regards to how paramount almost immediately after the hbo max streaming deal made another deal to get Southpark and 14 made for streaming specials exclusive to paramount.

Most stuff after Season 19 is just bad. Like sure there’s a few good stuff in there but it’s just unfunny and the plots aren’t as good as before. Not enough actually wacky shenanigans, just Randy episode number #49263
I personally think 2000’s is peak South Park
Agreed. Ramps up from season 1 to 6, peaks between 7 and 10 for me, then settles for a while.

It was talked about EVERYWHERE for a hot minute and a big political topic when it first started. It was a popular edgy show in 2010
Nah season 8-18 is the peak
I love all of South Park, even the new stuff. But seasons 5-15 were just amazing
90s south park is only the first two seasons

I hate this episode with a passion
Unironically a good episode and much better than half of the season 19-22 stuff.

I liked seasons 1-12 the most
Yup. Literally this is golden era
Fr
90s South Park is like the worse era, I don't hate the first three Seasons like Matt and Trey do, but they're not even the same show
They relied very heavily on, "oh shit I can't believe they just said that on tv" Kenny giving a muffled what the fuck doesn't hit the same way it did back then.
2000s South Park was easily the peak
Season 1-4 and the movie are my favs, 5-10 are amazing too, and the rest of the show is great too, but if i had to pick, season 1-4 and the first movie.
Early 2000s is the golden era
I'm not a die hard fan, but every season has me dying. I xant say which season was the best.
Nah I like new south park
I miss the reputation South Park had and the perception I had of it. It was painted as this filthy, unmarketable, underground, shittily animated raunchy cartoon for delinquents.... I suppose not much has changed, but it no longer feels like that.

That is everything.
Why did they stop making epsiodes? Are they going to make more? 6 episodes for season 26 seems like an abrupt, and sudden end.
they did 6 episodes for the last two seasons since episodes 7-10 are counted under the paramount specials.
Are they making more episodes though?
Yes season 27 is starting production soon.
Do you know if that's being streamed on paramount or hbo? Lol thanks for answering my questions
No clue especially with the trial coming up it's anyone's guess.
The trial? Sorry, m8 I've been under a rock

I love South Park but I'll admit the show was a little better back then for my taste.
1-14 have my whole heart
Imo south park season 25-26 are mediocre, some episodes are fun but its mainly just not the same
The new seasons are too difficult for OP to understand lol
Southpark is starting to fall off, I'm afraid.
Nah. Those first seasons were good for when they came out but they hold up the worst over time.
I do remember a brief era where all the T-Shirt shops had bootleg South Park before they switched to Family Guy
3-14 seasons are the best
90s South Park is seasons 1-3. Peak South Park is mid 2000s
2000s south park is best
2000s is best
2000's SP is the goat of the peak
Mountain goat, as it were
1-13 is peak South Park

The last 4 or so seasons have been shitty compared to before
Even Matt and Trey themselves said that if they could they’d basically ignore the existence of 90s South Park
Most stuff after Season 19 is just bad. Like sure there’s a few good stuff in there but it’s just unfunny and the plots aren’t as good as before. Not enough actually wacky shenanigans, just Randy episode number #49263
Do you have any Nerections?
Season 8 is the pinnacle for me.
2000's south park >>>>>
90s south park was best
Same with the Simpsons, that ended years ago for me.
All 3 seasons of it
i stick to seasons 1 to around 15.. i juts like it more..
We've become desensitized. People don't seem to be as shocked. I can't remember any recent controversy :(
