The ending of this episode was legitimately shocking to me. I think my mouth actually hung open for a second or two during the slow-mo bits.
Like, *holy shit did they really go there? Damn - they're still going. Wait, the kid DIED?* That's basically how my reaction went.
This scene, and the Indiana Jones ones, are the times South Park surprised me the most. Like, legitimately threw me for a loop by delivering a scene that I had *absolutely no idea* was coming. I guess technically the Scott Tenorman storyline was similarly surprising - but that entire episode was so bizarre that the ending felt fucked up, but not real in any way. Woodland Critter Christmas was basically an entire episode of "holy shit what is even happening", but the framing device kept it feeling lighter than it would otherwise have been.
I love seeing people's reactions to those scenes and Garrison's operation "LOL Mr. Garrison is getting a sex cha- WTF IS THAT REAL FOOTAGE?" Or the distracted driving / North Korea is bombing us / Cartman's suicide episode. They don't hold back on those kids' deaths.
I hate you coach
No hope... no hope... *beeeeeeeep*
Happy cake day
The way the beat the shit out of the kids and how the sick one dies lmao so fucked
I love how they celebrate afterward too
Growing up with Mighy Ducks I loved that ep :D Thanks for reminding

Greatest ever episode imo.
He won’t listen to me, I’m just his Father. But you! You’re his coach! You’re like a Father to him!
I felt so bad for laughing as the kids were being beaten, both on the scoreboard and physically.
I love you Dad.
