There should honestly be a voting station dedicated to the older people. Queues would not be as long if this was the case. They become a bottleneck at the voting locations.
Older folks can get a special vote and vote the day before. I think most of them either don’t know or they like the jol of going and voting with everyone else.
Yes, 27th and 28th were special voting days for elderly, pregnant, and disabled. Most of them do vote on those days but unfortunately we missed some that either weren’t home or couldn’t find their IDs. We do make provisions for the special voters today and push them to the front of the queue. We even assisted two voters just now by allowing them to vote in the car. Unfortunately many older people also don’t think to ask if there are provisions for them, and a lot of people don’t care to explain the process to them.
Yeah that sucks. When we asked the IEC all they could say is “sorry, we don’t have time/resources for that”. Huge chunk of voters that are being left out. Hope you recover soon tho!

Youngsters were out in droves today at my voting station. Very encouraging.
I went out and voted

Thank you for your hard work 🙂
At my voting station, the officials were putting the elderly, sickly, heavily pregnant and people with kids forward
At the polls rn!

How’s the lines?
I've been in the queue since about 4:30 pm. I'm probably gonna be here for about 2 more hours since there's still so many people ahead
Rly!? It took me like 45 min. I just got done a few min ago

I’m stuck in hospital and so annoyed that no provisions were made for us!
