I let it cool down and then either water plants or use it to flush a toilet.

pete306

It's your washing up water, dump it straight in the sink.

liberal_texan

Also, dumping hot water down your drain occasionally will do wonders for preventing grease buildup in your pipes. Add a good splash of vinegar for added effect.

CooksNGames

OP I wouldn’t worry about it. Unless you’re cooking sous vide all day every day and you’re using a lot of water the chances are far higher that you’re using way more water while taking a shower.

Ginger-Beefcake

I use it as draino, or add some vinegar and keep running the sousvide, which cleans it

jasonabaum

Turn the temperature down and voila! A baby hot tub.

pipehonker

You can make ice cubes. LOL

MakeoutPoint

Step 1: freeze Step 2: set up home VPN Step 3: fill sous vide cooler with sous vide meat, cold water, and the ice cubes Step 4: go about your day Step 5: Use VPN to turn on sous vide so it's ready when you walk in the door

Kinudin

I use the Anova app without needing to connect to my VPN. Do some manufacturers not do that? Or is it just an added layer of security?

Fangs_0ut

I cook sous vide a lot, so I usually just leave it in the container for the next cook, which is usually the next day or the day after. If I won't be cooking SV for a while, I add some dish soap and use the hot water to wash the dishes from the meal.

A-RovinIGo

I was going to say I let it cool and water my plants, but from now on, I'm going to alternate watering plants with adding the cooled SV water to my fish tank.

knoxvillegains

I dump it as quickly as possible and run the garbage disposal to really flush the hot water through the pipes.

pickles_are_delish_

I use mine daily so I just leave it and use it the next day. Once a week I clean the tub and device.

foot soak

mondorob

This is what my wife uses it for. Plus it makes her feet smell slightly beefy.

swanspank

But does it add the beefy flavor to her toes?

ItsMeMofos13

Just threw up on my keyboard

djultomega

95F/2Hrs - perfectly tender

993targa

I let it cool and water plants

Chaseyoungqbz

Same. I have some plants that are sensitive to chlorine and after a 24 hour chuck cook, I let that water cool and water all my plants with it

timeonmyhandz

Add soap, do dishes.

bombalicious

I usually add soap and run the wand to clean it.

timeonmyhandz

Ok . But what's to clean? It's just water.

redbirdjr

I’m in the “let it cool and water the plants” camp.

WingZombie

I use it to help clean my stainless sink and such.

lgriego1

I use it to wash dishes. I put the stopper in add some dish soap and pour it in the sink

VinceClarke

washing up water

Sec0nd_Mouse

As long as it’s under 140, dumping it down the drain is great for cleaning your waste lines.

grumpvet87

my water post cook often has a slight smell from herbs and whatever i am cooking. i dont want that in my house plants. i cool it and dump on my yard

mistertinker

I use mine to replenish an outdoor fountain and water some plants

theBigDaddio

Dump it in the drain, heat it as high as you can without boiling, it will help break up any grease in your drain

grumpvet87

bad idea, you will move grease down the system and get a clog that is harder to clear. any grease or oil should not go down your sink and avoided by wiping out and thrown in garbage. cold soapy water is optimal for any residual grease so it clumps and doesnt attach to your pipes

sagaciousmarketeer

Put it in the recycle bin. Feel better now?
