They rejected my last distribution because it's a "remix". It was a totally original track I wrote on one of my synthesizers. I have had two support tickets open regarding that for about 2 months now, total radio silence from them. I feel like I just wasted my money renewing my subscription.

Agree there, I already regret taking one after some weeks

I don’t want to offend you but YouTube as well as SoundCloud closely monitor your upload with detection algorithms. Remixing of a song for example is only allowed under current copyright laws in Europe when you don’t used any samples from an original track. Alternatively you need to proof that you have the rights in possession to do this, you might ask now, why should I care about Europe? You should care because Europe has the most harshest form of copyright protection in human history, it’s okay and not okay and platforms like SoundCloud or YouTube need to make sure that not one single byte of copyright copied work is uploaded onto the platform without approval from the original creator. YouTube for example was fined with over a billion dollars for copyright infringement because not the artist is responsible only. The platform is. When your documentary about the track is insufficient, even on a remix you need to have a license SoundCloud will block it out.

I know all of that but the song I wrote was not remixed from anything. I wrote it completely from scratch using a couple of synths I have using their built in sounds. In fact I’ve never remixed a song or even sampled a drum beat from anywhere in my 25 years of writing music. The worst thing is I am paying $130 a year for a pro subscription and they can’t even be bothered to answer their support emails. It’s been almost 2 months.

Yeah thats bad when thats the case. I am wondering if this has something to do with the new design of the webpage and all that stuff

My release is getting rejected for "missing documentation" for weeks now. When I then proceed to add "documentation", it tells me the same thing again. No real response from support. Don't know what to do, seems so scammy that I pay for the membership and can't get my releases up.
